The Head of People role will work closely with the Strategy and Planning function as a critical and enabling contributor to the transformation programme delivery team. The role will lead on the design and delivery of some aspects of the programme.
The programme includes broad transformation initiatives such as culture change, creation of an employee journey and employee value proposition, talent attraction alongside leadership and performance initiatives. INTRODUCTION TO THE GLOBAL HEALTH WORKFORCE PROGRAMME
We are looking for 3 Administrative Assistants based in 1x Addis Ababa Ethiopia, 1x Hargeisa Somaliland & 1x Lilongwe Malawi
Funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), and managed by the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), the Global Health Workforce Programme (GHWP) aims to develop the health workforce (HWF) in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria and Somaliland supporting them to build stronger, more resilient health systems for post-pandemic recovery and to make progress towards UHC.
Grants for UK-LMIC and cross-LMIC health partnerships will be awarded to respond to national HWF priorities identified through a scoping assessment carried out by THET with DHSC, FCDO, national Governments and stakeholders (such as local World Health Organisation offices). These grants will run until December 2025.
With a strong focus on building local ownership and sustainability, these partnerships will contribute to the following programmatic outcomes:
1. Partnerships contributing towards improved health workforce leadership capacity aligned with health workforce strategies, that will support reduction in gender inequalities.
2. Partnerships aligning with and contributing towards retention and wellbeing strategies.
3. Improved number and quality of training opportunities for health workers.
4. Co-developed and documented learning on health workforce interventions shared with key national and international stakeholders.
THET will award 28-36 strategic grants of £100,000 – £350,000 that feed into the country scoping priorities and outputs outlined above. The grants will broadly be split across the six countries; however, the exact split is dependent on the number and quality of applications received and broader priorities.
20-28 smaller grants of up to £50,000 will also be available for projects that tackle specific areas such as innovation, rural health facilities, diaspora engagement, leadership opportunities for women and protected groups, and the climate crisis.
Grants will be available to UK-LMIC health partnerships and LMIC-LMIC health partnerships. There are no institutional eligibility criteria as long as ODA rules are followed, so grants can be awarded to healthcare providers, royal colleges, universities, professional associations, NGOs, alliances, diaspora networks etc, but not to Ministry of Health departments.

Training Ground uses the power of the club badge to engage with young people whom universal support cannot reach. The programme will target those furthest from the labour market and with additional support needs, for example, looked after or care experienced, young carers, homeless or at risk of homelessness, those with experience of substance abuse, previous involvement with criminal activity, and/or those with a SEND.
The Role
The Programme Manager will be responsible for the ‘Training Ground’ programme, overseeing all aspects of the project, and ensuring milestones and output targets are met.
The Programme Manager will build a network of referral contacts and partners, ensuring sufficient and appropriate referrals are made to the programme. You will manage the participant pipeline and oversee all stages of the participant journey, ensuring impactful mentoring is delivered and that robust tracking is in place. You will provide guidance and leadership to a team of mentors and ensure best practice.
The successful candidate will have a sophisticated understanding of the challenges and barriers facing young Londoners, who are identified as the furthest from employment, and have an awareness of how to support them to progress into employment.
You will oversee the delivery of an employability programme and coordinate all aspects of the programme.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. We are looking for a skilled, dynamic and conscientious individual to lead on our financial and administrative needs, and work with us to grow our organisation.
You will be one of four core staff roles in the organisation. After the first year there may be space for role to develop and expand.
You will lead on financial management, working closely with Directors to develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy.
The role will also feature core administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation across contracting, insurance, monitoring equipment/assets and saving costs.
We are looking for someone excited to be part of an ambitious over-achieving, under-recognised young organisation in the arts.
Contract: Minimum 9 months, starting July 15th, with view to become permanent
Hours: Part time 2 days per week
Salary: £135 per day, £1,170/mo at £35k pro rata
Location: Stamford Hill office 1 day a week, remote other

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Strategy and Management

Co-creating and monitoring budgets, org-wide and for projects

Monitoring multiple income streams inc. sales, grants, investments

Co-designing core/project accounting ledgers to facilitate reporting and monitor metrics

Streamlining and automating systems, training staff in how to use them

Support the process of becoming a C.I.O. and adapting finance and reporting systems for new level of requirements

Managing cashflow and reserves to manage risk.
Reporting
-
Reporting to HMRC, Companies House and the Charity Commission

Liaising with our accountant to get the best systems in place for ease and accuracy of reporting and accounting
-
Reporting to multiple funders with different priorities and expense restrictions
-
Creating an automated financial reporting system that tracks costs across core, projects, and different funding streams for each
-
Overseeing compliance with HMRC including VAT, PAYE and accessing tax benefits such as Theatre Tax Relief (TTR) alongside our accountant.
Administration

Compiling and digitising receipts and invoices
-
Setting up staff and project producer expense accounts where necessary
-
Liaising with banking and ensuring staff access to online and card payment
-
Creating and using new reference administrative reference systems and filing systems.
Human Resources

Communicating with our community members, artists and staff about invoicing requirements and payment details, mindful of individuals’ complex needs

Overseeing setup and budgeting of employment benefits, bonuses, commission, freelance contracts and how to integrate these

Overseeing creation of a platform for communicating financials transparently to our community of marginalised artists (longer term)
Funding Support

Note: this is a support role as one of the Artistic Directors will spearhead new funding applications, you will not be applying independently

Researching and identifying new funding streams, archiving applications, making templates

Seeking advice from current funders and NGO partners about where to apply

Tracking funding applications, reporting deadlines, meeting financial requirements

Following-up on investors, scheduling regular communications with Artistic Directors.
Essential skills and requirements

Proficiency with Mac and Windows

Right to work in the UK

Three years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the charity, arts, or activism sector

Strong ICT skills including relevant accounting/reporting software and G-Suite

An excellent eye for detail and consistency

Experience of payroll processes

Experience of reporting to funders and HMRC

Autonomy and ability to work effectively under own initiative

Strong verbal communications skills, able to convey financial information to a non-financial audience
Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Proficiency with Discord/Slack/Teams/online working systems

Knowledge of modern accounting platforms such as Xero, Quickbooks and also systems and potential apps for managing staff expenses

As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Training Administrator supports the department through a variety of tasks from the booking and administration of safeguarding training courses run by the Diocese and content management for the training webpages through to the maintenance of the personal safeguarding training record database.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
- To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year. This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
- To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses.
- Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.
General Administrative
- Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review.
- Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings.
- Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
- Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a People Systems and Insight Analyst with experience in systems, data and reporting, and has strong analytical skills to join our passionate team.
As part of the People and Culture Directorate, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our people systems. You’ll be enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, so that we work efficiently and effectively, and our workforce has a seamless ‘user experience’.
Not only will you use your strong insight and analytical skills to investigate a range of internal and external data sets, you’ll also find compelling ways of presenting data to help us to answer key questions about our people and will actively make evidence-based recommendations that move us closer towards our goals.
But this is not just a number crunching job – to be successful in this role, you will be driven to seek out continuous improvements. You’ll be a strong and engaging collaborator and a skilled project manager, who builds relationships across the directorate, the leadership team and the wider organisation with ease. WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

- Manage and optimise our people systems, enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, and resolving issues as needed to ensure a seamless ‘user experience’ for our workforce.
- Responsible for internal and external reporting, supporting various business processes (e.g. establishment, payroll and budget, workforce planning, benchmarking).
- Produce bespoke reports and dashboards for a variety of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to support data-driven insight.
- Generate strong, evidence-based analyses and recommendations, and present data to colleagues in a concise and compelling way to improve organisational understanding of people data and insight.
- Identify and design improvements to our people systems and processes as needs arise, to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage, deliver and contribute to projects related to our systems and processes, in collaboration with the key stakeholders.
WHAT DO I NEED?
The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:
- Significant experience of working with people systems (HRIS, ATS), including trouble-shooting, making improvements and implementing required changes and updates.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to extract, collate and manipulate data from a variety of data sources.
- Proven experience of analysing and interpreting data and disseminating findings and recommendations in engaging ways.
- Experience in using data visualisation software (e.g., PowerBI).
- Demonstrable experience of making improvements to processes and systems.
- Project management skills with ability to deliver cross-functional projects through effective management of internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative, partnership-oriented approach, with a passion to make a difference.
