For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation and Grants come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time.
Contractually this role is London-based.

Job Purpose:

Context of the role.
Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support working on the refugee resettlement scheme.
Refugee resettlement takes place across Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Over the past 7 years, Upbeat Communities has welcomed and played a key part in the resettlement of Syrian refugees in partnership with local authorities in both counties. This role has included supporting families to apply for universal credit and set up bank accounts, registering with GPs and local schools in addition to integrating into their local community. Since the summer of 2021, we have taken on responsibility for the resettlement of Afghan families in both regions.

We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide floating support to our teams in high support 24-hour projects as well as medium support and transitional housing units to ensure that our properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night.
Your shift will commence at Eastbourne Foyer and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties across Eastbourne, Hailsham, Bexhill and Hastings.
Working on site you will be responsible for ensuring the service is safe by keeping clear records of night time activity within the building. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.
You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.

Beacon is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic youth engagement worker to work as part of a small team to deliver our SHINE offer to young people. SHINE offers early intervention support to all 11-17 year old’s in Stockport to provide information, advice or guidance regarding their emotional wellbeing. We’re excited to have launched a brand new Housing First service in Camden, and we’re looking for a passionate, skilled individual to join our team! You will be working in a unique new service that for the first time will be offering support to couples who have been rough sleeping and are to be accommodated separately in their own flats. With a three-year commission and the ability to support 30 individuals, this is your chance to be part of a fresh and impactful initiative within our organisation. You will work from a base in Kings Cross, delivering support in the community and within the homes of your clients. You will carry a case load of 5 people and will provide intensive and flexible trauma informed support that is centred around the strengths and needs of everyone. You will work closely with a wide range of external statutory agencies and specialist colleagues in the team who will include: a health worker, an IDVA, psychologist, sessional occupational health, and perpetrator support.
The service will support an equal number of women and men. The people given priority for the service are likely to have been rough sleeping for prolonged periods, have been multiply excluded from services and have co-occurring conditions. There will be a strong emphasis on safety in situations that might relate to complex abuse within relationships and externally.
About you:
- Experience working with clients who experience multi disadvantages, including building trust and positive relationships with people who have co-occurring conditions and who may be mistrustful and have a low level of engagement with services.
- A proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes with clients with complex needs.
- Awareness of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and violence against women and girls (VAWG), and an understanding of how the intersection of these issues can be supported and the people involved safeguarded.
- To show leadership qualities; skills of a strong negotiator; ability to advocate and be diplomatic.

About KLS’ Future Foundations education team
Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.
Key Objectives for this Role
Working with the Lead Youth Worker you will:
Homework Clubs
•Collect up to date consent information for all young people joining Future Foundations
•Support with creating session plans for club nights
•Research and source necessary resources activities
•Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for the young people
•Use participatory methods to involve young people about Clubs
•Ensure children’s participation and encourage ownership of and responsibility for the Clubs
•Implement our behaviour management policy
•Liaise with families/carers to communicate information regarding Clubs and Mentoring
•Support with maintaining robust recording and monitoring systems (including registers) and ensure quotes, case studies and feedback are saved and stored

About the role
In the role of Duty Worker, you will be the first point of contact at reception for St Mungo’s clients and visitors and have the opportunity to create a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. Other responsibilities will include:
- Jointly running the project day to day with other members of the team.
- Working on reception to answer phones, oversee entry to the building, and provide basic advice and support to clients.
- Keeping communal areas and office space clean and tidy.
- Coordinating important Health and Safety checks and other administrative duties.
- Work alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to residents and clients.
Shift pattern: 3 week rolling rota, mix of early and late shifts. 1 weekend worked every 3 weeks (both Saturday and Sunday are 12.5hrs shifts).
