We are Caxton Youth Organisation. We are a specialist youth club, creating community, breaking barriers and empowering learning disabled and autistic young people. Over the next three years and beyond, we will aim to reach more disabled young people and become more youth-led - and you could help make that happen.
There are many reasons why the work Caxton Youth Organisation does is important. At Caxton, we want to shape a more inclusive society free from disabling barriers where all young people can lead happy, healthy and more independent lives.
Our team of qualified youth workers and practitioners create a safe, welcoming and inclusive space in the community where disabled and autistic young people can make friends, learn new skills, build confidence, and be themselves.
We're a small charity but our work and impact is long-lasting and holistic. For everyone who works at Caxton, it's more than just a job. The purpose of the role will be:
- To provide innovative, exciting and accessible youth work and youth projects to disabled young people aged 11-25 years old
- To support the running of girls group aged 11 – 25 years old
- To working alongside Caxton Youth Organisation colleagues to support children and young people from the Westminster community to run our youth programmes.
- To support the delivery of our holiday programmes; and residentials providing overnight disturbance cover where you will be responsible for our female member
Required skills, knowledge and qualifications
- A minimum of 1 years experience in the youth work sector.
- A minimum in Level 2 Youth Work.
- Excellent written and communication skills at all levels.
- A strong understanding of the principles of youth work as a distinctive practice of informal education and voluntary participation.
- A good understanding of inclusive practice including different communication methods e.g. Makaton.
- Advanced use of Microsoft packages.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Is able to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
- Is willing to travel and to work unsociable hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
- A highly motivated and creative youth worker.
- Strong empathy and a person centred approach.
Desirable
- Experience of supporting learning disabled and autistic young people.
- To have a driving licence and ability to drive a minibus (including a D1 licence and MIDAS qualification).
- First aid training.
Essential Safer Recruitment Criteria
1. A cleared Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level. This check is necessary as the work involves dealing with or having access to children and vulnerable adults whilst undertaking normal duties.

We are looking for a Youth Work Coordinator and a supporting part time worker to deliver high-quality youth work at our youth centre
Job Title: Youth Work Coordinator
Hours: 37 hours a week to be worked flexibly, some evenings essential and some weekends.

Responsible to: Community & Youth Centre Manager
Main purpose of Job
Running sessions; building relationships; delivery of youth services. They will work closely with the other Youth Workers to ensure a great supportive programme and efficient use of all resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Development
• Plan, resource and deliver sessions to ensure continued support is given by HC&YC to young people; Putting young people first, ensuring we offer the right help at the right time
• Ensure that young people are involved in the planning, delivery and evaluation of youth work
Delivery
• Deliver high quality youth work
• Work within HC&YC equal opportunities, health & safety and safeguarding policies
• Identify emerging needs and plan services to meet those needs
Quality and standards
• Ensure evaluations and case notes are all up to date and completed on time
• Keep accurate records and provide data and information as required
Communications and relationships
• Develop and maintain relationships, particularly with existing and new delivery partners and commissioners
Person specification - Key skills
Experience
• Experience of delivering and leading high-quality youth work sessions is essential
• Experience of monitoring and evaluating youth work
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with young people
• Current child protection training or a willingness to work towards
• Experience of working with young people aged 11 to 18
• Ability to develop appropriate, supportive, positive relationships with young people
• Able to evidence a commitment to empowering young people
• Able to promote themselves and their work; being a positive role model within the community at all times, in line with the values of The Hale Community and Youth Centre
• Able to recognise current issues for young people and the barriers they may face that leave them vulnerable
• To be pro-active when participating in new projects

Join Waythrough as a Recovery and Connect Worker and you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access the support services and opportunities they need to improve their quality of life and ensure that their mental health is improving.
Chester and Wirral pathway is a community based project that will assist people in hospital ready for discharge home from mental health inpatient settings .
Your role will be in supporting patients in various hospital settings to overcome the barriers to them leaving hospital . This will include being part of MDT meetings , housing and benefits support ,utility reconnection, identifying housing and a package of 12 week support upon discharge from hospital . Ideally candidates will have good housing experience . This is an agile role that will require travel between hospitals and the community .
Your challenge will be to support individuals with complex mental health needs to feel in control of their care, access mental health support and other local opportunities and build their emotional resilience. You’ll manage a caseload of individuals with mental health concerns, formulating support plans and establishing positive relationships with a range of multidisciplinary organisations.
You’ll need a significant understanding of mental health issues and substantial experience of working within a mental health setting where you dealt with ‘high risk’ clients and managing resources effectively. A good understanding of recovery and coproduction is important too, as is a proven ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately. Adept at managing conflicting demands and priorities on time, you have a flexible attitude to working hours and, above all, keen to be part of something new and worthwhile that will change lives.
This is a fixed term role that ends on 31 May 2025.
This is a full time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

About the Role
To work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community-based accommodation. Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves a Depaul service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.
Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of (5) clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.
In accommodation-based services, you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in a positive and successful move on. The role will have responsibility under Depaul’s commitment to successfully deliver the contracted outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
· You will ensure the safety and well-being of clients in the service at all times possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable,
· It should not be seen as precluding future changes after appointment to this role.
· You will carry a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will also take joint responsibility with your team members for the well-being and day-to-day support of all clients in the services
· You will lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service
· You will develop and implement SMART outcomes-based support plans for your key clients
· You will deliver one-to-one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.
· You will proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing of Depaul clients in accordance with data protection and information sharing protocols.
· You will be flexible, reflective and creative in your engagement with clients and personalised in your support to them.

You will need to have the following skills and experience:
· Experience working with the client group.
· An understanding and commitment to working in an assets-based way.
· An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, and substance use.
· A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
· Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
· Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures.

The Role
Recovery and Connect is a project delivered in partnership with Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The Recovery and Connect Worker will work intensively with a caseload of individuals identified by the HomeFirst alliance, who have a pre-existing mental health concern and to support them to access ongoing community services. The role will involve working as part of a team aligned to the shared care forum to support vulnerable service users.

About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.
This is a new dual diagnosis arm of the project based at Lister Hospital working in A&E departments and hospital wards facilitating hospital discharge for people with a mental health and/or drugs and alcohol need.
About the Role:
The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Lister Hospital and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Lister Hospital staff and HMN, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patients homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.
The Bounce Back Worker will work with the HMN Community Outreach Teams and the hospital staff to ensure patients are offered advice, information, and holistic support. The Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes. The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.
Key Responsibilities
- To receive referrals from the ward teams at Lister Hospital and other appropriate hospitals across Hertfordshire.
- To manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service.
- To build strong relationships with staff at Lister Hospital and Mental Health Teams across Hertfordshire.
- To work in partnership with other agencies.
- To establish a strong presence on the ward, working at the hospital when required.
- Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
- To assist patients to access appropriate services and community resources within the local community, accompanying patients to attend appointments where this aids ongoing recovery.
- To work with key staff within the hospital to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated.
- To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
- Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer term needs.
- Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.
