Job Title: Operations Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our successful and experienced team on a fixed term contract providing maternity cover between July/August 2025 and July/August 2026.

The Operations Manager leads all BucksVision’s operational activities, including service delivery, financial processing and communications.

Together, with having your own clear accountabilities, you will collaborate and partner with Chief Executive to ensure that BucksVision’s services continue to be effective in delivering the charity’s aims and objectives.

Your Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Member of BucksVision’s Senior Management Team (along with the Chief Executive).
• Through collaboration with the Chief Executive, and the Trustee Board, ensure all BucksVision’s services are managed and are performing to expected high standards in support of our customers.
• Be the operational lead for BucksVision, managing service delivery, office administration, internal and external communications, and financial processing.
• Day-to-day management of the office and administrative duties ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place whilst inquisitive to seek out and implement areas for continuous improvement.
• Deliver strong line management responsibilities to one Administrator and deputise for the Chief Executive in their absence.
• Responsible for the management of BucksVision’s CRM system (Beacon)
• Manage the financial administration and processing of the charity, including invoicing, payments and payroll, and work with the financial auditors to ensure information is accurate and provided in a timely manner during the audit of annual accounts.
• Manage all internal and external communications to staff and stakeholders, including marketing and publicity materials such as BucksVision’s quarterly newsletter, website and social media.
• Proactively work with local organisations and partners to raise awareness of BucksVision’s services, through presentations, community events and other profile-raising activities.
• Responsible for dealing with customer queries, resolving these in a timely and effective manner, with excellent standards of customer service.
• Responsible for monitoring and reviewing operational activities, ensuring the services deliver results as planned.
• Provide operational support to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.

GiveOut is an award-winning international LGBTQI community foundation. Our mission is to bring together the LGBTQI community and allies to support global LGBTQI rights activism worldwide, building a world where LGBTQI people everywhere can live freely and fully.

Across the world, courageous activists are doing vital work to protect our communities and improve the lives of LGBTQI people. But they lack resources and funding is fragile, especially in the Global South and East. LGBTQI groups receive a tiny fraction of international development aid – just 4p in every £100 awarded by governments.

GiveOut’s purpose is to help address this urgent need by providing a platform for our supporters to give tax efficiently in one place to fund LGBTQI human rights activism worldwide. We pool the donations we receive to provide grants to LGBTQI organisations around the world, ensuring they have more of the resources they need to defend our communities, tackle inequality and campaign for lasting change.

About the Role

Fundraising and philanthropic advocacy are at the heart of GiveOut’s work. As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will be a key member of the Philanthropy team, implementing a vital part of our philanthropy programme as we deliver our growth strategy.
 

You will identify, engage, cultivate and steward major donors (high net worth individuals) and charitable foundations to secure high value gifts and grants, grow long term strategic relationships in support of the LGBTQI movement, grow GiveOut's network, and provide a top quality donor experience. 

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you will support them on shaping and executing strategy and work planning, coordinating the donor database and leading on related internal processes, and deputising for the Head externally.

We are open to full time or part time (pro rata) at a minimum of 24 hours, or equivalent to 3 days per week. We are also open to flexible working arrangements to be discussed. Occasional evenings or weekends out of hours will be required, such as for networking or GiveOut hosted events, for which time off in lieu will be granted. 

Key Responsibilities

• Donor and Partner Engagement

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of major donors and trusts & foundations

  • Prospect Research and due diligence on prospective donors

  • Cultivate strong relationships with prospective and existing donors

  • Write compelling grant applications and funding proposals tailored to trusts & foundations

  • Secure five and six figure partnerships and donations to support GiveOut’s mission to grow giving to support the global struggle for LGBTQI human rights

  • Support the Head of Philanthropy on fundraising and philanthropic advocacy strategy and plans aligned with organisational goals

  • Maintain and optimise fundraising systems, including the donor database (Donorfy) and fundraising pipeline

  • Report back on pipeline and partner development to the Head of Philanthropy

  • Work closely with the Communications & Campaigns Officer to create effective donor materials and external communications.

  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy Team Coordinator who supports the Philanthropy Team on reporting, grant applications, events etc.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Passion for GiveOut’s mission to grow giving for LGBTQI rights and a commitment to advancing LGBTQI rights worldwide.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience of major donor fundraising with a track record of initiating new relationships and securing four to five figure gifts.

• Experience of running cultivation and/or fundraising events 

• Understanding of budgeting and financial forecasting.

Have overall responsibility for all branch employees, including recruitment, employee development and performance assessment.

Income Generation, Fundraising and Publicity

Lead income generation, actively championing and contributing to fundraising events, whilst introducing new ideas and new activity.

Have overall responsibility for the Branch retail operation, working closely with the managers to ensure that individual shops meet annual sales targets.

Work with the trustees in developing the retail strategy and the growth opportunities of new outlets. 

Digital Media and Marketing

Work with the trustees to develop a marketing strategy, helping our Branch reach more people and generate additional income.

Financial Performance, Governance and Administration

Together with the trustees, develop and implement robust policies, procedures and controls in line with RSPCA guidelines and law, and produce annual budgets and reports for the Branch.

Security, Maintenance and Health and Safety

Ensure the Branch fulfills its duty of care for the health and safety of employees, volunteers and others on site, and have overall responsibility to ensure that the buildings, land and equipment belonging to the Branch are maintained in a safe and secure manner.

At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future. Are you passionate about marketing and fundraising? If so, we are looking for a marketing expert to help us plan, deliver and optimise the marketing to our most loyal supporters – focusing on Legacy audiences. This role will be instrumental to helping the ongoing success & continued evolution of the marketing and digital tactics for these audiences. 

This Marketing Officer position at Brooke is a pivotal role within the Legacy & Community Engagement team. Legacies are Brooke’s largest single source of voluntary income and fund over half of our international animal welfare work. And it is one of our key fundraising priorities and an integral part of our 5yr fundraising strategy.

Within this role you will help deliver an exciting portfolio of integrated, multi-channel and supporter-centric campaigns that involves all elements of the marketing mix as well as a range of diverse stewardship activities. We are looking for a highly organised individual with great communication skills who will help deliver a range of marketing campaigns and stewardship activity which will acquire new supporters, convert existing Brooke supporters and steward known supporters, with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of supporters who include a gift to Brooke in their Will.

We will offer a salary of between £29,000 and £34,000 depending on experience for a 36-hour week. Ideally you will be a full-time employee but we are happy to consider a part-time contract (min 0.8 FTE). This post will be offered as a permanent contract.

We are looking for an experienced campaigner with hands-on knowledge of digital campaigning and digital mobilisation techniques, to join our high performing Campaigns and Public Affairs team.

You'll have previously played a key role in successful campaigning activities which have brought about a change in policy and practice, and will be comfortable with fast-paced work.

You'll have a proactive, and collaborative approach which will make sure our campaigning is joined up between the national and regional levels, and that our engagement activities are embedded across the organisation.

In this busy role, you'll co-ordinate our national campaigns activity, helping to lead RNIB's national campaigns activity and strategy, working closely with our Senior Campaigns Manager.

You'll be managing a Campaigns Officer and a Campaigns assistant, providing coaching and support to make our national campaigning as effective as possible.

You'll provide strong project management for our influencing campaigns, whether campaigning to protect disability benefits, or to make streets and transport more accessible for blind and partially sighted people, for example.

You will bring our campaigns to life in a way that embeds lived experience and tells the story effectively for sighted people, driving them to take action. You will own content for our 'campaigner' audience, making sure our communications are effective, whether someone is new to RNIB's campaigns or is already a committed campaigner ready to go the extra mile.

This role will ensure that lived experiences are integrated into our storytelling, and will seek creative ways to motivate decision-makers or the public to take action.

Day to day, you'll collaborate with other teams across Policy, Campaigns, and Social Action to maximise opportunities for driving change, and will make sure national campaigning is aligned with our local campaigning, working with our two Local Campaigns Leads.

You'll also join forces with colleagues in RNIB's Engagement directorate to get campaigning fully embedded in our engagement and volunteering supporter journeys.

You'll have experience of project managing campaign activities, with a strong attention to detail, and an instinct for crafting compelling calls to action. You'll bring expertise in digital campaigns, with an understanding of best practice in digital and social content, as well as how to monitor the effectiveness of our communications.

You'll have a good understanding of disability issues and the social model of disability, and awareness of issues affecting blind and partially sighted people.

You'll be comfortable with collaborating with colleagues within and outside your immediate team, leading on the implementation of projects and coordinating day to day tasks.

The role: 
Supporting the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Officers, the Finance Officer ensures transactional information is correctly processed, covering sales and purchase ledgers, bank account transactions, payments and receipts, company cards, journals, and ensuring that balance sheet codes are correctly balanced at the end of each month. The Finance Officer takes ownership of their areas, providing a high-quality finance service to internal and external stakeholders and suggests process improvements as appropriate.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong numeracy, communication, and Microsoft Excel skills to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be have competency working with data and spreadsheets, demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and take a thoughtful, organised approach to their work. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves collaboration within the team and communication with colleagues across the organisation. The Legal Officer will conduct advocacy to achieve PI’s goals. This will include legal, policy, research, outreach and public engagement initiatives as PI formulates new and creative ways to demand change globally, including working with our partners across the world.

Essentials
Experiences

• Experience working with international human rights standards and/or national rights frameworks, including enforcing them.
• Experience working with data protection regulations, including enforcing them or ensuring organisational compliance.
• Law degree or equivalent postgraduate diploma in any jurisdiction.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be involved in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s research strategy including our programme of grants, and our work to support increased patient and public involvement in research.  They will work with the Director of Services & Evidence and Head of Evidence & Research to support the charity’s involvement with external research bodies and contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet our strategic objectives.

About You

We are looking for someone who has proven experience of delivering successful research funding and patient and public involvement research activities.  The successful candidate must be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and comfortable working with operational performance metrics, and implementing strategies and objectives for the organisation.  Ideally your background will be in health care or working in a medical charity and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent.  Given this role will involve managing and providing leadership to the Research team, prior management experience would be an advantage. Whilst not essential, a knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis would be beneficial also.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

Job Description

Catch22 is looking for a compassionate leader to join our growing Greater Manchester Victim Services as Deputy Head of Service. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the effective delivery of support for victims and witnesses as you help them on their journey to recovery.

Reporting to the Head of Service, you’ll provide line management to team leaders and administrators, implement systems for quality service delivery, and manage recruitment, training and supervision. You’ll work closely with police and other criminal justice partners to maintain strong referral pathways and ensure our services remain seamless and effective in its support for those that have experienced crime in the Greater Manchester area.

You will also contribute to strategic service development, quality assurance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement across the team. Your leadership will drive a culture of collaboration, learning and excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal post-holder will have:

A strong educational background, including English and Maths at GCSE level.

Proven experience managing and supporting teams in high-impact environments.

A track record of working with vulnerable individuals in multi-agency settings.

Confidence in performance management, risk assessment, and safeguarding practices.

Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills.

A recognised management qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Knowledge of the victim and witness support system and a good understanding of the criminal justice landscape are highly desirable.

Shift start times and end time will be between 0800-1800 and be a 7.5 hour work day.
