Midland Heart is a leading social housing provider and property owner with a growing residential and commercial leasehold estate. We're creating a new specialist role to strengthen oversight of our third-party managed portfolio, with laser focus on managing agent performance, data compliance and service quality across a geographically dispersed estate.

Why this role is different
This isn't a business-as-usual housing management role. As our Senior Property Manager (known internally as Third Party Agency Manager), you'll:
- Have strategic oversight, from property handover to strategic disposals, of a growing portfolio of circa 2,000–2,500 residential and commercial properties dispersed over the East and West Midlands.
- Lead relationships with around 100 external managing agents, managing, assuring and constructively challenging third-party performance against contracts and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop a newly formed specialist team.
- Ensure Tenants remain at the heart of service delivery, ensuring compliance, value for money and driving improvements in Tenant Satisfaction Measures.
Our ideal candidate? We're seeking a property management professional who can balance strong commercial oversight with a tenant-first mindset. Your application will demonstrate:
- ATPI (Associate of The Property Institute) Qualified or demonstrable experience of private property management.
- Proven experience of all matters relating to private residential and/or commercial leasehold management including its legislative context and policy framework.
- Experience of leading, managing and developing a geographically dispersed operational team.
- Commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and delivering value for money.
- A track record of improving services and customer satisfaction.
- The confidence to challenge, influence and make evidence-based decisions, whilst maintaining effective, professional relationships.

About the role:
This is a hands-on, people-facing role for someone who takes pride in creating spaces that really work. As our Facilities Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind safe, welcoming and well-run workplaces that allow our teams to focus on what matters most - supporting people out of homelessness. Based full-time at our Head Office in King’s Cross, you’ll be visible, present and involved - working on site five days a week and travelling across London to our other offices and services. No two days will look the same. - You have hands-on facilities management experience and know how to keep buildings safe, functional and fit for purpose.

- You’ve procured and managed facilities contracts before and are confident holding suppliers and contractors to account.

Summary
This is a unique opportunity to join one of the oldest charities in the UK in a flexible, part time general managerial capacity, supporting the Trustees. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in accounting, property or the law and is comfortable working with professional advisers across all these disciplines. The appointment of this senior role arises by the retirement of the current incumbent, and the role offers a competitive rate which will depend on qualifications and experience.
Background
The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust, founded in 1545, holds a portfolio of c. £80m in Equities, Bonds, Land and Commercial Property, part of the Total Return from which (£2.5m in 2025) is distributed in Warwick in accordance with its Charity Commission Scheme, as follows:
· 50% Anglican churches in Warwick and Budbrooke
· 30% Warwick Schools Foundation - means tested bursaries and community activities
· 20% as grants for the “benefit of the inhabitants of Warwick”
The Trust has up to 12 trustees (4 nominated, 8 co-opted), who meet quarterly. At present, there is a Clerk & Receiver (role being renamed to COO), a deputy Clerk (who deals mainly with grants and organising meetings) and an accountant – all part-time and self-employed.
The current Clerk is retiring and is a Chartered Accountant who has held the role for 16 years, during which time the Trust has gone through a period of change. The Trust is now in a stable stage, where the priorities are managing our financial, land and property assets in order to maintain our distribution. The role is being renamed to Chief Operating Officer to better reflect the role, and would ideally remain a self-employed role.
The typical work load is likely to require about 10-15 hours per week, which fluctuates and is focused around the quarterly meeting and annual accounts. There is potential for 2 areas of land to be included in the local plan which will create additional opportunities.
Role specifics
Financial Investments
· Liaise with the investment managers (Currently: CCLA, Navera, Savills, Royal London)
· Manage any short-term deposits with HSBC
Property
· Liaise with property advisers (Margetts and Cushman & Wakefield) to manage the Trust’s property (currently an office block, a pub, a shooting range and 3 blocks of farm land)
· Oversee St Mary’s Rectory. This is owned by the Trust and is provided free of charge to the incumbent at St Mary’s, through an agreement with the Coventry Diocese.
· Ensure any property sales or leases operate within charity law.
· Where land is in the Local Plan, work with advisers and/or promoters to obtain the best commercial deal.
Charity Commission
· Manage any changes required to the Trust’s Charity Commission Schemes and Orders.
· Ensure that the Trust operates within the limitations of these Schemes and Orders.
· Annual Returns
· Manage information on Charity Commission website
Beneficiaries
· Quarterly distributions – calculation and payment
· Liaise with beneficiaries as necessary
· Prepare reports for Trustees as required (e.g. Annual Grants Report, which will include analysis of other Warwick endowed charities and Annual review of Church accounts)
General
· Deal with all correspondence
· Keep Trustees up to date
· Liaise with professional advisers
· Manage the overall office activity
· Organise meetings – including reports for meeting and minutes

Skill set & Experience
The role requires someone with experience of dealing with financial, legal and property issues. Coupled with good administration skills, the role requires someone who:
· Is self-reliant and used to working under their own management
· Is competent in Microsoft Office
· Has good written communication skills
· Has good interpersonal skills, to work with Trustees, other staff, advisers and beneficiaries.
Experience in the following would be beneficial, but a candidate who is keen to learn would quickly pick these up:
· Charities, including dealing with the Charity Commission
· Knowledge of Warwick and its historical heritage
The successful candidate is likely to have a professional qualification in accounting, property or the law and is comfortable working with professional advisers across all these disciplines.
The Trust’s office is currently based on the top floor of Margetts (the Trust’s agricultural advisers), where all its records are kept. Some home working would be practical.
The role has some flexibility in hours, but there will be certain times, such as Trustee meetings that are fixed. A candidate who is able to be available for some time each day would be beneficial, as often matters need to be progressed without too much delay.

The Role
As a Supported Housing and Contracts Officer you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of our supported housing schemes, both leased and directly managed.

Building Tomorrow – Neighbourhood Housing Project Lead
Oasis exists to build stronger communities where there is no one left out. Building Tomorrow is an innovative new neighbourhood housing programme that Oasis is developing in Sheffield and Scunthorpe.
We are pioneering a new community-led solution to housing challenges in two communities where Oasis already works, running five schools and two community Hubs. What will you do?
The key areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

The Destitution Caseworker is a full-time post at the JRS UK offices in Wapping with regular visits to our houses in South London. The post-holder will be joining the Advice and Casework Team, a small and diverse team of Caseworkers, Befriending and Practical Support Coordinator and volunteers.
The Advice and Casework Team provides refugee friend led advice and casework, supported by the practical offering of hardship payments, regular mobile phone top-ups, and befriending. We also provide temporary accommodation through our hosting scheme 'At Home’ which has operated since 2012. Additionally, we also offer support through our 10- bedroom house for women and 6 – bedroom house for men in South London.
This role is busy and varied, with a focus on combining accompaniment with advice and practical support and assistance particularly to those in our accommodation project. The postholder will provide in-depth and proactive support on a broad range of issues including destitution and homelessness; access to legal advice; asylum support and health related matters. The postholder will utilise relationships with NGOs and specialist agencies, signposting and making referrals as appropriate.
They will be responsible for managing their own caseload and will support with the smooth running of the accommodation project and other aspects of the wider team.
The postholder should have a good working knowledge and empathy of the issues and challenges faced by destitute asylum-seekers and refugees, with particular focus on destitution, homelessness and access to immigration advice. They will need highly developed listening skills, personal resilience, and emotional maturity to respond to the emotional and practical needs of asylum seekers, accompany them and support them to positively progress with their lives. They need to have and maintain an up-to-date knowledge about the immigration and asylum context as it relates to our work with destitute refugees.

Join Homeless Oxfordshire as a Housing & Recovery Worker in our 7-bed Pre-Recovery Project. You’ll provide high-quality support to people moving on from homelessness, working closely with Turning Point to deliver drug and alcohol recovery groups and peer support. You’ll manage risks, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, support clients into suitable move-on options, and build strong relationships with partners. Help create a positive, inclusive space where people can rebuild their lives while developing their skills, confidence and independence through meaningful activities and personalised support.
Main Purpose Of Job:
The Pre-Recovery Project is a 7 bed project that provides housing and recovery support for people that have recently experienced being homeless. We work closely with Turning point to provide recovery support through groups and peer led support . The HRW will provide move on support as well as working in close partnership with Turning Point around peoples recovery .
Main Areas Of Responsibility:
· Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.
· Ensure the effective delivery of drug and alcohol based support to clients within the Pre Recovery Project service including group and peer support.
· Partner with Turning Point in the delivery of drug and alcohol based support to enable clients to work towards drug and alcohol recovery.
· Assess risk and suitability of referrals for the service.
· Be responsible for supporting and working with clients to achieve suitable move on and successful outcomes.
· Ensure support plans and risk management plans are documented and agreed with clients in line with procedures.
· Proactively and assess, monitor, manage and respond to risks.
· Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment across accommodation services; this may including room cleaning and clearance. Report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures.
· Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
· Keep up to date and clear records and ensure information is shared with the team and external agencies as required.
· Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and represent Homeless Oxfordshire at interagency meetings, as required.
· Contribute to a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are valued and staff are enabled to do their best and the work of the broader team
· To organise and lead activities with clients which will improve wellbeing and skill sets.
