The team has expanded rapidly from 2 to 7 people, with clear organisational investment and board-level engagement to drive fundraising success. The role of Fundraising Lead is to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. You will develop high value 6- and 7-figure fundraising relationships, primarily with the private sector, but also with HNWIs in the future, bringing on board new supporters, so maximising income and sustainability.

With proposals already in play with leading brands, a supportive Head of Fundraising, and active trustee involvement, this is a rare opportunity to make a visible impact in an ambitious organisation.

As Fundraising Lead, you will:

• Lead corporate new business, with full responsibility for a £300k year-one target
• Build and manage a proactive new business pipeline, using prospect research tools, networking and trustee engagement
• Secure six-figure, multi-year corporate partnerships, developing creative offers across unrestricted, programme-based and blended opportunities
• Focus in the short-medium term on corporate new business, moving to incorporate HNWIs in time
• Work with the Head of Fundraising, SMT and board members to open doors and build senior-level relationships
• Collaborate with colleagues including the account management team and bid writer to ensure seamless handover and delivery of secured partnerships
• Represent STEM Learning externally, positioning the organisation as a credible and attractive partner for major corporate supporters

Ideal skills and experience:

• Proven track record of securing six-figure corporate partnerships, ideally multi-year
• Experience building a corporate pipeline from scratch, including research, prospecting and networking
• Strong understanding of how to package and position fundraising propositions to align donor interests with organisational priorities
• Confident and credible with senior stakeholders, including trustees, boards and senior corporate contacts
• Target-driven, entrepreneurial and proactive, able to deliver short-term results while building long-term income growth
• Collaborative and resilient, with the ability to represent STEM Learning externally and inspire confidence internally
• Experience in building relationships with HNWIs and major donor fundraising desirable, but not essential

Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser 

We are seeking a motivated Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to secure vital income and build strong partnerships with funders across the UK.

Salary: £30,000 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
Location: Remote, UK wide

About the role

As Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, you will play a key role in generating income to support our mission of sharing the joy of live music in care settings. You will manage a portfolio of small and medium value trusts and foundations, writing compelling funding proposals and delivering excellent stewardship to strengthen long-term relationships.

Overview of the Job:

• Preparing tailored applications to trusts and foundations in line with organisational strategy and values.
• Managing and developing relationships with funders, providing regular updates and impact reports.
• Undertaking prospect research to identify new funding opportunities.
• Supporting larger-scale applications in collaboration with the Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager.

About you

You will be an enthusiastic fundraiser with excellent written communication skills and an eye for detail. Essential skills and experience:

• Proven experience of generating income through trusts, foundations, grants or sponsorship proposals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and engaging content.
• Excellent organisational skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• IT proficiency, including MS Office.

Desirable:

• Experience using CRM databases.
• Financial acumen, with knowledge of preparing budgets.
• Strong research skills for identifying potential funders.

BookTrust, the charity that champions the power of reading, is seeking a Head of Fundraising in a new senior role to oversee the strategic development and management of their voluntary income, to help them deliver their goals to shape a national reading culture.

BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, reaching over 1.3 million children and families across England, Wales and Northern Ireland each year and delivering evidence-informed programmes that make a measurable difference to children’s reading behaviours. Their work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the chance to enjoy reading and all the lifelong benefits it brings. In recent years, the charity’s work has focused on helping children from low-income and vulnerable family backgrounds to become regular readers.

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for stewarding an existing portfolio of major statutory and voluntary funders, and managing BookTrust’s high value and individual giving portfolio. This includes trusts and foundations, statutory funders and corporate partners from the publishing sector and beyond, from Waterstones to Build-A-Bear. The post-holder will build on significant fundraising growth over the last three years, and will work to further grow and diversify fundraising income to meet the goals of the charity’s recently launched 2025-2030 strategic plan.

The successful candidate will be engaging, experienced and have a proven record across high value fundraising (with a preference for major donor/philanthropy, trusts and corporate partnerships), as well as having a good knowledge of Individual Giving.

They will have experience of operating at a senior leader level with a charity, with responsibility for liaising with, and reporting to, the SLT and the Board, and will be able to show demonstrable success in achieving personal and team income targets.  Commercially and politically astute, candidates will also be emotionally intelligent and natural collaborators, willing to work with others on bringing income generation ideas to life in an organisation with a diverse funding model including mixed models of trading and philanthropy.

The Fundraising Officer (FO) will develop and maintain our Trusts and Foundations funding pipeline, which includes multiple five and six figure funders. The FO works closely with every team at Scottish Book Trust to fundraise for a range of literature, arts and education projects. The role will support the Fundraising Manager (FM) and Individual Giving Manager (IGM) to deliver our fundraising strategy and grow our charitable income across all funding streams.

Responsible for fundraising administration including gift processing and thanking, you will also support on fundraising events, impact story gathering, and donor stewardship where required. There is flexibility within the role to incorporate other elements of communications and fundraising if desired. You will be a key asset in project development, design and delivery and will work with the team to ensure that activities are executed.

Organisation Profile

Stour Trust CIC is a social enterprise which aims to improve the social and economic lives and wellbeing of local people by innovating new models of community-led regeneration through provision of genuinely affordable housing, community, work and cultural spaces. We seek to:

• Democratise access to built space and assets through influencing policies to deliver racial, social and economic justice for under-represented communities.

• Remove the disconnect between local communities and the buildings/assets that exist within them to serve the common good.

• Support the development of art and creative practice across communities, partnering with educational institutions, local organisations and government stakeholders to meet this vision.

SCOPE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead on Stour Trust's website redevelopment, liaising with our freelance web designer, freelance copywriters and other parties as needed.

2. Build Stour Trust’s key resource and information bank for the organisation's communication output to be used for websites, funding and events.

3. Lead on collating relevant research, legacy and archived work, frameworks, guides and case studies.

4. Develop key comms messaging for Stour Trust's social media platforms.

5. Support copy and narrative writing for the organisation's mission areas..

6. Support Stour Trust's three strategic project areas: Land & Spatial Justice, Racial & Economic Justice and Policy.

7. Develop project delivery frameworks and timelines to support clear accountability and communication for projects, using project management tools

8. Develop simple pitch decks, posters, case studies and proposals for partners or collaborators and manage sub-contractors as needed.

9. Support key partnerships and relationships keeping the team up to date on key events.

10. Attend relevant in-person and virtual meetings and sessions to support the team.

11. Manage a small budget in relation to projects including website development.

12. Support other areas of Stour Trust's work.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 of the UK’s leading aid agencies to raise funds quickly and effectively when humanitarian crises strike overseas. DEC’s appeals are nationally recognised moments, uniting the public, government, and partners to generate extraordinary support.

This maternity cover offers a unique chance to combine the immediacy of appeal fundraising with the influence of long-term strategic leadership. You’ll guide high-value income across corporate partners, trusts, and major donors, while also shaping the future of DEC’s Philanthropy & Partnerships function through a mid-strategy review and a set of ambitious live projects.

This role blends urgency and delivery with breadth, oversight, and strategic impact – an excellent step-up for a corporate fundraising specialist ready to broaden their remit, as well as a compelling challenge for an experienced high-value leader.

As Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, you will:

• Lead high-value fundraising across corporates, trusts, and major donors, ensuring income is maximised whether or not an appeal is live
• During appeals (typically one or two per year), deliver high-value income during national emergencies
• Oversee stewardship and account management of DEC’s partners, supporting managers to deliver exceptional relationships.
• Drive key strategic projects, including:
  • Refreshing the Rapid Response Network framework and offers
  • Embedding a core costs ask across corporates and trusts
  • Developing an emergency fund outside appeals to allow funders to plan contributions
  • Contributing to a major donor review and overseeing investment in trusts & foundations
  • Introducing wealth screening and segmentation for the first time
• Lead the mid-term review of DEC’s five-year strategy, assessing pipeline, budget deployment, and future investment
  priorities
• Provide oversight, stability, and external perspective to a strong, long-standing team

About you

We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on fundraising leader who can balance delivery with strategy and thrive in both steady-state and high-pressure contexts.

The role would best suit someone with: 

• Significant corporate fundraising expertise, with a strong track record in account management of complex, high-value partnerships
• Experience managing staff (minimum two people)
• Adaptable, proactive, and confident leading income delivery during fast-moving appeals
• Clear passion for DEC’s humanitarian mission and ability to inspire confidence with partners
• Trusts & foundations or major donor experience is desirable

In this influential role, you'll manage a designated caseload of high-value donors, conduct face-to-face meetings, develop compelling funding proposals, and create bespoke stewardship plans. You'll work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify engagement opportunities and represent CAP at high-level events and conferences. • Proven track record of securing significant major gifts (5-6 figures) from high-net-worth individuals

JOB PURPOSE 

This exciting role focuses on raising income for the Start Network and its global initiatives, including the Start Fund, Start Ready, innovation and the expansion of a locally led network. The postholder will be an experienced trusts and / or corporate fundraiser who wants a role focused on business and relationship development. They will be responsible for an exciting portfolio of existing and prospective funders (that give 6-7 figure grants), adopting a relational approach to fundraising. 

You will be responsible for carrying out prospect donor mapping, growing a fundraising pipeline, building relationships with prominent foundations and corporates in the humanitarian space, writing technical proposals as required, pitching to donors well-articulated concepts, and building fundraising capacity within the organisation. 

It is critical that the postholder is comfortable with developing new relations. We have grown a significant number of new donors within our Foundations and Corporates over the last few years, and we hope to continue the growth of the team in this exciting role, so proof of having grown an income stream is key.

Finally, the Partnerships Funding Advisor will sit within a team of 4 focusing on strengthening and increasing the philanthropic portfolio and will work alongside the Partnerships Engagement Officer, one other Partnerships Funding Advisor and will report to the Partnerships Manager.

About the role

Reporting in to the Head of Partnerships & Impact Funding, the role of Partnerships and Business Development Lead is responsible for strategic leadership in developing and nurturing institutional funding partnerships (Government, Multi-lateral, Trusts & Foundations, 
Corporates) at the global level, to create and manage compelling pipelines to mobilise income and resources for Christian Aid's programming worldwide. 

The post-holder will champion collaboration, innovation, and inclusion, ensuring Christian Aid’s engagement, profile, and business development with key Government, Multilateral, Foundation, and Corporate Partnerships deliver a step-change in income generation, impact, and influence, and will foster cross-functional collaboration across Partnership and Impact units while empowering others to lead change through co-creation.

Some of the main areas of responsibility for the role of Partnerships and Business Development Lead will include:

• Inspire and motivate a high-performing team of multiple units through donor specialist managers and programme design advisor to deliver strategic impact and income goals and targets.
• Develop long-term global income generation strategies aligned with Christian Aid’s values and goals.
• Actively contribute to the Partnership and Impact Funding (PIF) Division management team, sharing ideas and insights to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge, deputising for the Head of Partnerships & Impact Funding when required.

• Champion high quality funding partnerships and programme design.

About you

Who we are looking for

Essential:

• Proven track record in directly securing multi-million-pound contracts or grants from institutional, trusts and foundations, and corporate donors.
• Substantial experience in building and cultivating strategic donor partnerships including engagement at global, regional and country mission levels with senior stakeholders and demonstrable experience of engaging.
• Extensive management experience overseeing high-performing teams directly and remotely.
• Extensive experience of leading multiple bid teams to successful outcomes.
• Advanced negotiation skills at senior levels within HQ’s, regional offices, or missions.
• Detailed understanding of institutional, corporate and trusts and foundations donor funding landscapes and  trends.
• Advanced understanding in interpretation and negotiation of government and foundation grant and contract calls for proposals and contract and compliance agreements and frameworks.
• Highly developed decision-making skills including working under high pressure, negotiation skills,  organisational planning and prioritisation skills.
• Verbal fluency in English with a persuasive writing style.
• Highly developed communication and networking skills for engagement, relationship building and facilitation, including consortium development

Desirable:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in business, economics, international relations, development studies, or related fields.
• Understanding of humanitarian programming principles and practice.
• Substantial experience working within an international development organisation at a senior level.
