Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has expertise in developing influential media campaigns and shares our compassion and commitment to deliver positive outcomes for nature. You will be a highly organised, motivated, curious and creative individual who is comfortable working on integrated communications and PR campaigns and working with stakeholders from across the organisation to find the story.

You will have strong influencing and networking skills, always searching for new and inventive ways to shout about Plantlife and grow our audience. You will be detail orientated and adept at managing multiple projects at once.

What will you be doing?

This is a key role within our dedicated communications team and will focus on leveraging and shaping Plantlife’s activity and presence in the media, alongside a job share colleague. You will support the Head of Communications and Engagement with the leadership, planning and delivery of Plantlife’s media strategy to raise awareness, engage stakeholders and drive support for our cause.

This role will support our campaigning activity in the UK and internationally and will be one of Plantlife key external voices, playing a pivotal role in shaping our key messages. Working across the organisation and with colleagues leading our conservation, advocacy, and partnerships work you will keep abreast of key organisational activities and create opportunities for media and campaigning.

We are offering the role as hybrid or home based. We have offices in Salisbury or Retford. There will be an expectation of some travel to attend monthly team meetings

What you do  

Main purpose of post 

To build a high-performing fundraising team to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy to successfully deliver Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision. 

You will be instrumental in the development and delivery of a major 5 year charity appeal.  The appeal will raise the funds to enable a step change in our support of Weston Park Cancer Centre and the impact we have for people affected by Cancer in our region. The appeal forms the basis of the charity’s overall 5 year fundraising strategy.

Appeal Structure & Accountability:

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership

· Champion fundraising across the organisation.

· Be an inspiring ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.

· Actively contribute to leading Weston Park Cancer Charity as a member of the Leadership Team.

· Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.

· Attend and actively participate in relevant Board Committee meetings providing updates, necessary reports, and feedback on the charity’s fundraising.

· Lead cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy and direction.

· Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation at all levels, adopting and encouraging a collaborative working approach.

· Keep abreast of, understand, clarify, and implement new or changes in relevant thinking and legislation, especially those directly affecting fundraising.

· Monitor and manage risk in accordance with the charity’s risk management policy.

Fundraising

· Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy across a range of income streams to successfully deliver the charity’s vision

· Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development to deliver the public phase of a 5 year major fundraising appeal

· Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Fundraising Team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent organisational growth.

· Ensure that fundraising is supported by appropriate business/activity plans, and sound financial plans and budgets; and that performance is regularly monitored and evaluated against plans and budgets.

· Set, monitor, and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.

· Foster a culture of ambition and innovation and support the team to research, develop, and implement new fundraising approaches to recruit new donor groups across all income streams.

· Drive change and implement new ways of working across fundraising and the wider organisation in support of fundraising effectiveness.

· Manage relationships with key supporters and stakeholders and attend meetings and networking events to unlock new opportunities.

· Strengthen and build on existing supporter relationships, ensuring that all supporters receive a first-class experience.

· Support the team to develop professional and engaging fundraising materials including fundraising propositions, applications, proposals, appeals, pitches, and reports.

· Take overall responsibility for fundraising compliance and ensure that in all relevant areas, the charity complies with the law, regulation, and stakeholder and contractual obligations with third parties.

· Collaborate with the Data Manager to maintain oversight of the supporter database to ensure integrity, legal compliance, and generation of appropriate insight to support delivery of income growth.·  

Fundraising Development

· Work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development, external advisor(s), commissioned agencies and the appeal committee to deliver a multi-year major fundraising appeal

· Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income

· Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.

· Lead on the introduction of a charity lottery.

· Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.

· Support the Data Manager with the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.

Brand and Marketing

· Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.

· Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.

· Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.

· Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.·  

People Management

· Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.

· Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative and professional in its thinking and delivery.

· Ensure all fundraising staff receive consistent and motivating direction and feedback to enable them to work to the best of their ability.

This role will be pivotal in contributing to FEI’s communications strategy, focusing on high-quality content creation across social media, personal stories and other written, designed and video formats.  

Scope of the role: 

The Digital Content & Communications Officer is responsible for creating content across FEI’s communications channels, inspiring individuals organisations alike to get involved in the face equality movement. 

This is an exciting new role within the organisation and the ideal candidate will be creative, passionate about communications, content and digital and looking to build their expertise in a growing organisation with a global footprint. The role will be varied and the successful candidate will have the chance to work across a variety of key communications activities, with a primary focus on social media.

There will be freedom for creativity and trying out new ideas, with a focus on personal development through training and ongoing support by working closely with the newly promoted Campaigns Manager who previously fulfilled a similar role. 

We offer flexible hours, with a remote team working across the UK. 

About Face Equality International: 

Face Equality International works to mobilise an alliance of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), charities and support groups to further the campaign for ‘face equality’. 

Our mission is to enable the facial difference community to live a life free from discrimination, indignity or stigma. We do this by positioning face equality as a social justice movement.

Responsibilities 
 

• Social media – Written, graphic and video content to be produced to support FEI’s mission. With the support from the Campaigns Manager, the Communications Officer will lead on developing engaging content to amplify the voices of the facial difference community. Accessible content standards are essential.  
   

• Graphic/video editing – Using tools such as Canva or CapCut to create and edit content.  
   

• Website updates – All FEI staff have access and responsibility to collectively update our WordPress site in line with their role.
   

• Copywriting – Creating content for social media primarily with the addition of blogs and other written marketing materials on occasion.  
   

• Engagement – Community management and engagement via online channels, including influencer outreach.  
   

• Monitoring and evaluation – using analytics to track impact. 
   

• Ad hoc tasks: Supporting the team with ad hoc administrative and communications duties as requested.

Past experience: 

• Experience of producing content for digital channels is essential.  

• Experience of copywriting is essential.  

• Experience of design programs such as Canva or Photoshop is essential. 

• Experience/knowledge of the social justice and equality movements, particularly those devoted to the disability and disfigurement community, is desirable but not essential.

Knowledge and skills: 

• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral, and the ability to communicate to our diverse global audience with care and professionalism. 

• Good interpersonal skills in order to collaborate with volunteers, staff, members and our wider community.

• Good knowledge of brand guidelines, tone of voice, and adhering to overarching strategy.

• IT literacy – knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential. 

• Knowledge of website, social media and newsletter content management systems. 

• Ability to work to tight deadlines, and to prioritise workload. 

• Attention to detail and good organisational skills.

• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn, and grow as the face equality movement does. 

• Multi-lingual candidates would be an asset to our work.

Purpose of the Role

The Digital Marketing Manager will implement and help develop a new digital marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of ArtsEd’s profile and reputation and the successful delivery of all our programmes.

Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.

In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.

Digital Marketing

• Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
• Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.

• Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.

• Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms

• Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.
• Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.
• Monitor social media communications (both comments on posts and direct messages) and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.

Design & Brand

• Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.
• Ensure all digital information is accurate, up to date and relevant.
• Ensure ArtsEd embraces and celebrates diversity and inclusion through all digital marketing touchpoints.
• Develop and manage image library including liaising with relevant staff to select images, co-ordinating in-house photography and film requirements, up-dating plasma screen and fulfilling external requests for images.
• Ensure all touchpoints communicate ArtsEd visual identity. Working with the wider Marketing team to review and implement ArtsEd brand architecture structure on digital platforms

Graphic Design

• Create print and digital advertising material using Canva or similar software.
• Design and create in-house digital signage and support the Marketing Officer where needed.
• Support the print production process, liaising with printers and publications, proof reading and adapting print collateral as required.

Recruitment

• Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
• Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
• Managing an associated  programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
• Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
• To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp
• Overseeing the production of all marketing collateral.

Social Media

• Overseeing the planning and delivery of a social media plan that aligns with and enhances all strands of the marketing and communications strategy
• Create engaging and content drive social media assets.
• Oversee and a schedule the delivery of day-to-day social media content
• Work with the marketing officer to Launch as short form video content strategy for all platforms with aligns with the Marketing and organisations strategy.
• Be the expert in understanding movements regarding social networks ensuring ArtsEd has a presence and brand building content on the right platforms.
• To have responsibility for all digital advertising, including social paid adverts.

Website

• Manage through line managed staff all aspects of the ArtsEd website, ensuring that it remains relevant to all users at all times. This will include:-
• Ensuring factual content is kept up-to-date, imagery and video is regularly refreshed and that the overall site reflects ArtsEd’s unique offer.
• Identifying opportunities to create and update brand focused content
• SEO
• Analytics

Market Analysis/Planning

• Review and analysis of data to identify competitor tactics, market trends, new opportunities and challenges.
• Ability to understand different audiences and relevant content to ensure successful conversion rates and enhance the student and stakeholders experience.
• Explore  new methods for collection of data and how this can be used to improve recruitment processes
• Complete quarterly digital impact reports
• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
• Implement regular surveys of students and staff, collecting quantitative and qualitative material to support marketing and communication campaigns.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
• Shape outcome based on data.

Events

• Work with team on the planning and delivery on a programme of events, including Auditions, Open Evenings and Open Events.

This role will primarily sit within our Capacity Building and Standards (CB&S) function but will work closely with our Innovation and Practice (I&P) and Advocacy and Communications (A&C) functions. 

The CB&S function aims to build capacity both inside and outside of public institutions to embed the processes, skills, structures and cultures needed for effective public participation in decision-making. The I&P function is responsible for the deliberative, dialogic and participatory projects and processes that we run. The A&C function aims to build political and public understanding of and support for making participation and deliberation an everyday, integral part of our democracy. 

This role will have a thematic focus on public engagement in decision-making within the science, technology and data sectors. Candidates do not need an educational or work background in this sector, although it would be useful, but we would expect the successful candidate to take a keen interest in these topics. 

Involve achieves its impacts by growing expertise in sector-specific areas where public engagement is important. Science and tech represent policy areas where citizen engagement on both principles and practice is vital and where public engagement can also open the door to broader deliberative democratic interventions and feedback loops. Technological advancement, including AI, presents risks and opportunities and will be an ongoing priority for government with five critical technologies likely to be central to UK policy for at least the next Government.

Involve has a significant pedigree and is well networked in the area of public engagement in science. Over the last 20 years we have been thought leaders in this space, in particular running the government’s science and tech engagement programme, Sciencewise. We have developed a reputation for best practice public dialogue, deliberation and capacity building. 

Given the opportunity to grow this area, our reputation, and the important democratic need, we don’t want to stand still. 

As Engagement Lead you will play a central role in leading Involve’s work, and building out our strategy, on public engagement in the science, technology and data field. The job will involve leading on our Sciencewise programme of public dialogue as well as supporting, growing and communicating our science and tech public engagement in general. You will be a proven project leader and strategic thinker looking to make your next move and develop your leadership and profile in this interesting and important area of public engagement in decision-making. 

About the role
This is a new role for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we look to expand our successful Individual Giving & Lottery programmes.

The post holder will deliver quality fundraising campaigns, including Cash Appeals, Regular Giving and Lottery that will grow income, supporter base and lifetime value. Putting supporters at the heart of the Charity’s work, the role includes acquisition, retention and stewardship of individual donors and lottery players to achieve a sustainable increase in income for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

You’ll have strong commercial knowledge, with the ability to apply this to the Charity sector; adding value to our existing fundraising activities and impact reporting. 

As part of a busy and ambitious team, this role would suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a talent for storytelling and a knowledge of data-driven marketing. You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.

As the Science Officer you will be the communications support for the Super Pollutants portfolio that includes the black carbon initiative. You will draw on your scientific research experience and science communications abilities, supporting projects with technical input and researching, analysing and creating unwaveringly accurate scientific communications spanning climate science and health impacts. 

You will have a knack for distilling information into actionable insight and accessible external communications – your way with words and understanding of audience demographics will ensure the clarity and impact of your messaging. 

Whilst your research background will give you the essential insight and expertise to contribute widely, this role is where your academic prowess comes to life in real-life deliverables. You will be called upon to support the design and management of research and science communication grants and projects,  to coordinate key meetings and workshops and to support Finance in how we manage cashflow and reporting. 

Throughout you will keep abreast of developments within the fields of air pollution, super pollutants and climate mitigation especially related to science and research, policy development, innovation, technology and impact analyses and portfolio relevant developments. You will never stop learning and developing your deep understanding of this subject and will inevitably become an expert. 

Your experience: 

Beyond your essential research experience in atmospheric and climate science, in particular experience working on black carbon or other super pollutants you will 

• Be able to demonstrate that you think and act strategically 

• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to efficiently explain and discuss complex topics in layman’s terms.

Background

Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence is a company Limited by Guarantee which is registered with the Charity Commission (Registered Number 1077863).  The registered aims of the Charity are:

• to help relieve the suffering and distress of persons who have been raped or

sexually abused; and

• to advance the education of the public in the subject of rape and sexual

abuse and their effects.

The registered activities are:

• to promote the recovery of any adult or young person of any gender who has

experienced rape or sexual abuse at any point in their life; and 

• to offer one to one counselling, phone support, forensic medicals following

recent incidents, with or without police involvement, young people's service,

trust & support through court and criminal proceedings.

Purpose of the Job

The role is to provide a high quality, specialist service to victims of sexual violence including provision of one to one therapy for clients aged between 0 and 18. The role includes provision of therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire who have been referred to the Therapy Service either through self-referral, or other external pathways.

To work within a multi-agency setting to provide an empathetic and pro-active support service to victims of historical sexual violence aged 0-17 and their families, within and outside of the criminal justice system, including pre-trial therapy.

This role is part of the Therapy Service which comprises of a team of Adult and Children’s Therapists offering counselling, therapy, support groups, parent support sessions and other therapeutic interventions to victims of sexual violence and secondary survivors.

Accountability

The Childrens Therapist will be line managed by The Therapy Delivery Manager. The post is part of a wider team at SV2 delivering a range of support services to victims of sexual violence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

General

• Deliver appropriate individual face to face or phone/online therapeutic services to victims (aged 0-18) of historical sexual violence or abuse at any point in their lives.

· To provide specialist counselling assessments and one to one therapy in line with the specific funded project

· To work with the whole SV2 therapy team to ensure smooth transition of client referrals into the service

· Maintain current and accurate records of clients and client interactions, and provide reports and information on clinical practice as required, in line with BACP guidelines, SV2 policies and Data Protection Act using agreed frameworks

· To contribute towards the Clinical Governance process within the service

· Undertake CPD as identified in annual appraisal and line management processes

· To support members of the team and sub-contracted therapists to deliver support groups to clients

· To offer ad hoc psychoeducational support sessions to the parent/carers of children receiving therapy within the Therapy Service

· To support the Therapy Delivery Manager by taking an active role in the Student Counsellor Placement Scheme including promotion, interviews, induction, mentoring and offering ongoing support to student placements and volunteers

· To work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Agency’s policies and procedures

• Monitor and record progress and outcomes for clients utilising SV2’s case management system, client support plan and other systems, as required
• Monitor, maintain, plan and prioritise own work and client caseload
• Liaise with other relevant external agencies in relation to the support of their clients
• Respond to safeguarding issues and liaise with staff in accordance with SV2’s safeguarding policies
• Provide information and reports for managers, as required

Professional

• To support and liaise closely with practitioners and professionals in SV2 and other external organisations

• Develop and maintain knowledge and skills relevant to this area of work which meets the needs of the Organisation, client group and sexual offences legislation

About this role

The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.

It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. As we launch our new strategy, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, keen to try new things and learn through testing, excited about communicating Reprieve’s work to our supporters and inspiring them to donate.

You will be key to the acquisition of new supporters, leading on developing and managing lead generation across our platforms, building paid for and organic content, and developing new and innovative ways to engage supporters with the support of the Head of Digital and Mass Engagement.

As a small team we have a collaborative and “all hands on deck” approach, ready to step in and support each other. This means at times you will support on our retention and stewardship work, as well as helping the wider Development Team when needed.

You will share our commitment to fighting racism and advancing racial justice, as well as help craft comms that can take supporters with us on this work whilst ensuring we do this in a way that does not compound racist structures.

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time, fixed term 18 month contract with the possibility of extension dependent on funding. The salary is £40,964 plus up to 5% employee matched pension contribution.

Central England Law Centre (CELC) provides a vital service to clients across Coventry and Birmingham, providing support for all aspects of housing law through a team of dedicated solicitors, caseworkers, paralegals and support workers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced caseworker or solicitor to join the team, supporting our clients across Birmingham in the delivery of casework through the Law Centre’s Legal Aid contract.

Responsibilities

With responsibility for a caseload of clients across Birmingham, the successful candidate will:

• Advise clients on all aspects of housing law through face-to-face and telephone appointments
• Undertake casework and represent clients at court as appropriate

• Complete public funding forms via CCMS and paper applications where appropriate

We're looking for someone with experience of verging or similar church support work. The two Assistant Vergers and Precinct Officers (AVPOs) carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the Head Verger and Precinct Manager.  Work includes: the careful setting up and delivery of all liturgical matters; ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all working in, visiting, or using the Cathedral and Cathedral House and precinct and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the Cathedral for all.

The City and Guilds of London  Art School is a small, independent Higher Education Institute.
