Key areas of responsibility

 Workforce

• Maintain a positive culture within the Centre in line with the London Irish Centre values and expectations.
• Overall responsibility for management, development, motivation, support and appraisal of the community services teams, and other team members when agreed with the line manager.
• Maintain and implement effective policies and processes for managing staff and volunteers, including recruitment and retention, induction, training and appraisals. 
• Ensure adequate and appropriately skilled staffing of the community services team.
• Monitor performance against budgets, targets and Key Performance Indicators.
• Ensure best practice and quality assured delivery of Community Services and Programmes.

Financial 

• Overall responsibility for management and reporting of community services budget. 
• Overall responsibility for management and monitoring of all community services` grants. 
• Responsibility for ensuring services are managed within delegated budget.
• Operating within financial governance arrangements at London Irish Centre.

Income generation

• Ensure relationships with all supporters and donors are managed and developed effectively, including trusts, individuals, major donors and corporate partners. 
• Identify suitable new grant and trust funds and lead on applications.
• Lead on monitoring, reporting and submissions for current grant and trust funds in accordance with funders` requirements.

Impact and Innovation 

• Overall responsibility for the service`s impact management in line with the London Irish Centre’s theory of change. 
• Lead on identification and adoption of innovative technology to improve the processes and impact on community services.
• Overall responsibility for communicating the outcomes and impact of the community services and programmes.
• Strategic Development.
• Work with the CEO, other management and the Board of Trustees to set and achieve the charity`s strategic objectives. 
• Ensure Community Services resources are effectively targeted. 
• Lead in implementing a strategic plan for Community Services and support team leaders to deliver against performance targets. 
• Develop and foster positive relationships with external stakeholders.

We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
• Produce detailed case records on our case management system for the purpose of continuity, statistical monitoring and report preparation
• Apply for funds from trusts and foundations to support individuals and families with essential costs such as housing deposits or white-goods and/or cancellation of debts;
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders for joined up working, including statutory and voluntary service providers, making referrals for guests where appropriate.
• Enable and support guests to act for themselves, wherever appropriate.
• Monitor the progression of all cases to the point of resolution.
• Conduct follow-up calls with guests where needed and track outcomes
• Support volunteers who are working on delivering Advice Services e.g triage volunteers and pathways volunteers

Case Management

• Manage own caseload and work independently to support guests

• Support with developing case studies and gathering guest feedback

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the charity’s record of referral and signposting agencies;
• Ensure data protection regulations are adhered to, and that sensitive data is handled in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational procedures.

• Be committed to the aims, procedures and policies of Sufra’s advice service in every aspect of service delivery.

The Bone Cancer Research Trust launched a dedicated Support Service in 2019, in response to feedback from our community. Over the last 5 years, the Service has seen a significant increase in reach. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Events and Community Fundraiser (Known internally as Public Fundraiser) to join our team at Scope on a temporary basis, until the end of October 2025. As this is a short term contract, we're looking for someone who can step into the role and hit the ground running.

The role

The role is heavily focused on challenge events, with a combination of responsibilities across product management and event delivery.

You will:

• Be responsible for delivering the income target and best possible supporter experience to our Team Scope participants in the 2025 Great North Run event. You will also be involved in marketing activity to fill remaining event places.
• Work with the Data and Supporter Experience teams to review and resolve data gaps, issues and data quality concerns regarding challenge events participants data on our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365). 
• Develop an effective marketing plan, including test and learn activity, to increase numbers of participants in non-flagship challenge events for Scope. 
• Support the Supporter Care team in providing our community and events supporters with an excellent experience.

Experience in the health charity sector, public/patient engagement work, and working on the National Institute of Health Care Excellence (NICE) and Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) consultation processes would be beneficial but not essential.

As Senior Policy Officer you will be part of the Patient Advocacy team who work to ensure that the patient voice is heard and acted upon by UK and devolved nations healthcare policy decision makers. You will represent the charity externally including national meetings with senior healthcare decision makers.

Your role is vital to developing strategic approaches to health technology appraisals (HTA), regulatory pathways (MHRA), clinical development programmes (academic and industry clinical trials) and commissioning routes to broaden access to new myeloma drug therapies and diagnostic technologies.

You will apply your skills flexibly across key policy areas including access to treatment, patient voice, stakeholder engagement and general healthcare policy and work with colleagues in communications and fundraising to make sure our supporters and the wider myeloma community understand the positive impact we make.

• Contract: 18 months fixed term. We can’t accept applications for job shares for this role. We're unable to provide sponsorship for a work visa.

Possible is a climate action charity working on climate solutions which improve people’s lives, support communities and cut the cost of living, as well as slashing carbon. Our “Where We Live” workstrand creates innovative new ways to improve the roll-out of clean, affordable heat and energy, and to better insulate homes. 

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering community energy and/or heat projects. Are you excited to unblock the delivery of innovative local clean energy and heat projects which cut emissions and energy poverty and empower communities? Do you enjoy working with communities to help design and deliver local energy projects which work for them? If so, we should talk!

As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with expert partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand. 

The role will include coordinating and working with key expert partners, including community energy groups and research partners, across the three sites. The design stage of the project is largely complete, but there is still scope for creativity in delivery.

Like all our staff, you will contribute to our anti-oppression work, attend team-wide meetings and training sessions and feed in to the production of organisational strategy. And everyone at Possible chips in in the best ways they are able, by doing things like organising digital birthday cards, taking out the bins or the virtual equivalent, so there’s that too.

Recent breakthroughs in dementia research mean we are on the cusp of the first generation of dementia treatments in the UK. There has never been more optimism around our mission to find a cure for this devasting condition and critical moment for organisations to partner with us.

You’ll be joining a high-performing team that has a large portfolio of high-profile corporate partners including but not limited to Omaze, The Perfume Shop, Slimming World, Bloomberg, TP ICAP, and Dyson. Alongside having just secured brilliant partnerships with Cadbury, and John West.

We’re looking for a New Business Officer to join our team, to secure new partnerships that will grow income and take us one step closer to a cure.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Identify and build strategic relationships to generate income from new corporate supporters.

· A focused and strategic approach to identifying, researching, and targeting prospective corporate partners.

· Work closely with Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM) to deliver our successful new business strategy. 

· Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities to include strategic partnerships and charity of the year partnerships. 

· Develop engagement plans for prospects, with innovative, commercially minded ideas, to maximise the chances of securing successful partnerships. 

· Create innovative and creative applications/proposals for charity of the year and strategic partnerships. 

· Actively network with potential corporate partners through warm contacts, events, conferences, and other available media. 

· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of new business approaches in liaison with CPM, communicating progress regularly. 

· Take full personal responsibility for the timely recording of prospects, actions, updates, and notes within the CRM (Salesforce). 

· Work alongside the Partnership Development Officers on new partnership set-up, including establishing legal agreements with corporate partners. 

· Work closely with the Philanthropy team to leverage support from major donors and assist the Philanthropy team with their prospects where possible.

· Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets, including income generation and meetings. 

· Support the CPM in the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy for ARUK, to increase the team’s income, to ensure that the best use is made of internal and external contacts

Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context.

· Organise and attend networking and cultivation events as required, influencing, and engaging high-level external contacts.

· Deliver high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage prospects and convert them into partners.

· Organise tailored face-to-face meeting opportunities to initiate and build relationships.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ARUK activities, including research being funded, and be an advocate of ARUK at all times.

What we are looking for:

· Corporate fundraising experience, or business development experience in a corporate role.

· Evidence of delivering high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage potential partners/clients.

· Experience in creatively building new strategic partnerships/clients from scratch within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.

· Experience in engaging and building relationships with key external stakeholders and decision-makers to deliver positive outcomes.

· Experience in securing new partners/clients within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.

· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 

· Excellent personal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels face to face and on the phone.

· Ability to write professionally, with an ability to adapt communications for different audiences.

· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

· Ability to articulate complex issues to supporters in a compelling manner.

· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make financial asks.  

· Strong business development and relationship management skills, ideally from a charity background.

· Ambitious, professional, and hard-working team player.

· Outgoing, enthusiastic, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

· Willingness to work outside of regular office hours during busy spells, as well as occasional travel within the UK when required.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

We're looking for a talented and versatile communications officer to help grow our communications and supporter base and increase our impact for the children with complex disabilities and their families who we support.

You will be expected to lead on our social media strategy, planning, producing and delivering content for all our audiences, and engaging with social media connections to grow our community. You will also be responsible for increasing engagement via our website, e-news and direct digital and offline communications. 

We're looking for a natural storyteller with attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to turn their hand to a wide range of tasks, striving for excellence while building relationships and working collaboratively with staff from across our small charity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create a social media strategy that builds our community and engagement across our current active platforms of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and considers the use of other platforms
• Develop and maintain our website to provide and easy and rewarding experience that seamlessly transitions users to the next stage of their journey
• Develop and manage our communications calendar to ensure coordinated planning and communications activity

The Head of Operations and Projects will oversee the infrastructure of our charity. This position will involve fostering a motivated and engaged volunteer base, strategic oversight of our BUBR Africa initiative and conducting impact analysis of our activations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community engagement, skilled in project management and possess a strong analytical mindset.
