We are seeking to appoint a part-time experienced and capable administrator with the skills and attributes necessary to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Staines & Feltham Circuit.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team with Circuit staff and leadership to support the work of the seven churches in the Circuit and be part of the team praying for the mission and ministry of the Circuit.

Responsibilities will cover areas of administration, communication, governance and compliance.  A full job description and person specification are available as part of the application pack.

This is a mainly office based role working at the Circuit office at Woodthorpe Methodist Church, Ashford, Middlesex.  This post is for 16 hours per week to be worked flexibly by mutual agreement with the Superintendent Minister.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian and is sympathetic to the values, aims and ethos of the Methodist Church.

As a Senior Nurse, you will manage a team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality palliative care services. You will support the Clinical Nurse Manager in promoting a positive working environment and oversee the provision, supervision, coordination, and quality review of clinical services.

Main Responsibilities 

A Senior Organiser is mastering the craft of community organising and taking increasing responsibility for developing major campaigns, managing budgets and managing staff. They operate with a high degree of independence and are significant contributors to CUK-wide functions such as training.  Senior Organisers model the broad-based community organising methodology in their work including the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change. 

You will bring communities together to drive change both locally, regionally, and nationally. This role will work closely with local civic institutions, such as churches, mosques, schools, universities, unions and other community groups to: 

• develop the leadership of people within those organisations - our 'leaders' who lead the campaigns we work on 

• help them identify the changes they want to see and create strategies to win those changes 

• strengthen institutions’ own abilities to achieve their missions. 

This includes listening to members of the community to find common issues, engaging local decision-makers through meetings, and planning in-person ‘actions’, where you might hold those in power to account. All of this work is underpinned by the knowledge that everyday people have the ability to shape the world around them. This work will be rooted locally, but you will be a part of a bigger national drive to make change alongside diverse local alliances across the UK. • Work effectively with local journalists and media outlets to further CUK’s goals 

• Develop a strategic plan to enhance people’s participation in public life as well as enhance non-partisan political and democratic practices across Essex. 

• Develop a strategy built on an acute sense of how communities and institutions behave within, and across, the cultures and contexts of Essex.  

• Develop a plan that enables clear and impactful cross-institutional collaboration across Essex. 

Identify and develop relational leaders prepared to act with others for the common good

Our Organisers and some project teams work closely with our member institutions and will be expected to attend member events that take place in the evenings and occasional weekends. We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.

Join a youth social action charity challenges 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time social action. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, they support pupils growing up in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the UK.

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.

Look Ahead's Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Service is a Mental Health supported accommodation which is a pathway service for people to work towards their independence. There are 3 buildings in the cluster, all of them are lone-working.

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting our residents to help them to enhance life skills and increase independence and manage their health. This also includes tenancy management and other life skills.

Support Workers in the service work across all 3 projects in Hammersmith and Fulham; working with customers with varying levels of support needs. Many of the customers have complex needs including dual diagnosis and Support Workers are expected to liaise with other agencies within the borough to best support customers. Support Workers are expected to support customers on their journey to independence in a person-centred, non-judgemental way, whilst adhering to the Look Ahead core values.

The shift schedule covers Monday to Sunday, working five days each week on a rolling rota that combines weekdays and weekends. Over a five-week period, there are two complete weekends off.

What you'll bring:

Essential:

NVQ Level 2/3 or transferable skills in customer centred roles

Desirable:

Experience working in mental health sector
Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent or experience in the social care/charity sector

Purpose of the Role

The role of the Project Officer – Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.

A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. The POLS will also engage law firms and other legal stakeholders, conduct due diligence, allocate projects, maintain project records, gather feedback, prepare internal reports and external communications and undertake other administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes). Other key responsibilities include assisting the PBLM with any bespoke projects, assisting with training events for Development Partners on relevant legal topics, and engaging key Legal or Development Partners on any specific areas of legal interest or need.

Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

The shift pattern of this role consist of: Week 1: Moff, T10, W10, Toff, Foff, Soff, S10
Week 2: M10, Toff, Woff, Toff, F10, S10, Soff

What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
- Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
- Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
- Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
- Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
- Managing customer referrals, completing assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
- Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
- Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service - Encouraging and enabling tenants to pay their rent and avoid personal debt

About the Role

The Advice Supervisor will be a key member of our Community Advice team who supervises and contributes to the delivery of our core service. You will help ensure we provide a quality advice service to Camden residents across face-to-face, telephone, video channels and other digital developments and ensure the targets, outputs and outcomes of all the generalist advice contracts and/or grant agreements are met.

Ideally, you will already be an experienced Advice Supervisor. However, we will consider this role as a development opportunity if you are already a qualified Generalist Adviser wanting to progress your career. You will need to have at least two years post qualification experience in delivering high quality generalist advice and casework and be able to demonstrate the potential to support others with varying levels of experience to do the same.

Westway Trust is seeking a highly motivated Caretaker who will be passionate about developing and maintaining high standards of security and presentation of buildings across the 23 acres of estate, to ensure continuity of the use of the buildings and grounds for tenants and community use. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.

You will be an enthusiastic individual with a good level of customer service who will have the ability to deal confidently with tenants and the general public.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Responsible for light maintenance and housekeeping duties across the Trust’s buildings and estate.
• Perform simple repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
• Conduct security checks of the Trust’s properties across the estate, involving opening buildings and locking all doors and windows when not in operation.
• Inspecting buildings, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order.
• For the general upkeep of buildings, sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for minor repairs working with the Facilities Team.
• Work with the Grounds & Gardens team to ensure Westway Trust’s land remains clean and tidy at all times (fly-tipping/bins/parking).
• Liaising with colleagues to assist in the unit base parking operations.
• Monitoring of bin collections and cleaning and re-arranging as required.
• Preparing rooms for meetings and events, including the moving of equipment such as tables and chairs.
• Liaising with Events Team to deliver support to events.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Three years of working with a property team or as a caretaker or in a similar role.
• Electrical and plumbing experience and / or qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Painting/decorating experience is desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of technical information, building construction and design.
• Practical ability to use and maintain tools.
• Experience of working in public open spaces.
• Good people management relationships.
• Have good time management, organisational, communication and administrative skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient at managing databases and programmes.
• Experience of handling anti-social behavior matters.
• A keen eye for detail and presentation in all aspects of work.
