Job Title: Farm Rescue Coordinator
Reporting To: Supply Lead
Salary Range: £27,000 - £29,000 (Dependent on experience)

Location: Based on Farms/ Orchards across Kent and East Sussex
Hours/Days per week: 37.5 hours per week, 8am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday.

About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job
We are looking for the Farm Rescue Coordinator to play a key role in ensuring that the charity is successful in achieving its objective to rescue and secure a growing supply of surplus food direct from farms, helping us to meet our ambitious future meal targets to feed those in need. You will support the Farm Lead in maintaining relations with the farms and managing large groups of corporate volunteers who change day to day. You will support the Farm Lead and other Felix colleagues with resource planning, daily reporting and measurement. You will support with making delivering between Felix’s London Depots and the orchards. This is a hands-on role that requires being on your feet and frequent manual handling and is 100% outdoor based regardless of weather.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your normal duties and responsibilities will be set out in your job description. However, the charity may require you to perform other duties from time to time.
- Initial set up at orchard each day (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri)
- Support Farm Lead to carry out Dynamic Risk Assessment each morning
- Meet, greet and check in volunteers on arrival
- Introduction and H&S briefing
- Support with all aspects of picking, stacking, loading of fruit
- Support with lunch and refreshments for volunteers
- Deliver fruit and/or trays between orchards and Felix’s London depots in a Felix van (Wednesdays)
- Liaise with the depot teams regarding logistics

This role requires someone with excellent administrative, organisational and financial management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams with care and precision.
You will work closely with the Clinical Director, Board, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality therapeutic services, manage projects, support fundraising and communications, and ensure our facilities meet the needs of both clinicians and the community. The Centre Manager must be able to work independently and take initiative, whilst also being a collaborative member of a small team. As the face of the organisation, you will be based on-site and have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with people from all walks of life.
Key Responsibilities are as follows:
Strategic Leadership: Work with the Directors and Advisory Board to support long-term planning and strategic development. Creatively implement systems and structures to maximise service delivery, productivity, and income.
Operations and Facilities Management: Oversee the booking and management of clinic and event rooms, maintain high standards of customer service for building users and visitors, liaise with contractors regarding building maintenance and manage the general upkeep of facilities to maintain a high standard of health and safety. Respond to issues in a timely manner and maintain relationships with building users.
Financial Management: Lead the financial management of the organisation, monitoring project budgets, invoices, licences and debtors. Chair a monthly finance subcommittee meeting and maintain an overview of the entire organisation’s cash flow and projection.
Governance: Act as the main point of contact for the board of directors and advisors. Prepare and attend monthly board meetings.
Programme and Event Delivery: Coordinate internal and public events including lectures, film screenings, and workshops - providing logistical and operational support including ticketing, promotions and managing event staff/volunteers.
Clinical Project Management: Lead operational delivery of funded projects including two subsidised psychotherapy schemes: tracking budgets, collating outcome measures, writing reports, managing timelines and liaising with clinicians and patients. This also includes managing referral pathways, responding to enquiries from patients, sharing referrals with clinicians, and line managing an administrator who supports these tasks.
Outreach Programme Management: Coordinate our multiple outreach programmes such as two Therapeutic Playgroups, one of which is for refugees and asylum seekers. This involves acting as the main point of contact for programme staff, reporting on their activities and progress to the board, and maintaining the operational frameworks necessary to allow the programmes to thrive.
HR: Manage all HR elements of the organisation including but not limited to: advertising and recruiting roles, drafting contracts, keeping an up to date log of internal policies, and handling any staff concerns with discretion and professionalism.
Development and Fundraising: Support grant research, writing, and application processes in collaboration with the Development Coordinator. You will be required to liaise with key funders and maintain records, reports, and track project outcomes.
Communications: Lead on internal and external communications, including newsletters, social media and website content.

About the role:
You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will have a passion for excellent service delivery, performance management and team welfare.
The family caseworkers provide in person support to families who have experienced the sudden and traumatic death by Homicide. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing operational services in health, social care or charity sectors, with strong project management and delivery experience. You will also have a strong track record in staff supervision and team leadership with excellent leadership and team motivation skills. You will understand safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection (DPA, GDPR) with knowledge of service performance frameworks and contract compliance. A strong communicator, you will be able to create reports and presentations and be able to analyse data and derive insights. You will have budget and resource management skills with strong planning, organisational and risk management experience. You will be able to work independently and manage time effectively with a flexible, adaptable and problem-solving attitude. A willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL), if not already proficient, is essential.
You may have experience working with or in Deaf or disability services and familiarity with Deaf culture and BSL. A willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL) if not already proficient is essential.

About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver support in the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre (MHUCC) at Lister Hospital.
The MHUCC provides a dedicated space and service for rapid mental health assessment, intervention, and referral, thereby enhancing the quality of care and optimising use of systemwide resources. It provides 24-hour access to specialist mental health assessment aimed at supporting service users to access the least restrictive care and treatment options. It creates a systemwide response to acute mental health crisis that enables people’s needs to be met with the right care at the right time.
About the Role:
The Support, Time and Recovery (STAR) Worker will be based at the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre at Lister Hospital, promoting joint working and creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The STAR workers will work closely with individuals in a mental health crisis currently in the MHUCC, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect.
You will have a key role with safe and supportive observations and attending to the service users on the unit. You will provide support for carers and liaise with the wider services to support smooth and timely discharge of service users back to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide a consistent presence in the MHUCC for individuals with mental health needs to access for support.
- To advocate for service users, explaining organisations and pathways.
- To provide immediate information and advice about managing wellbeing, reducing risk and onward signposting and referral into wider HMN services and VCFSE organisations.
- To facilitate a clear and easily accessible pathway into the wider Nightlight Crisis Alternative services for individuals, to support timely MHUCC discharge, as an alternative to statutory crisis intervention, or as a supplement to wider care and treatment plans.
- To gather feedback and evaluation on patient experience in the MHUCC
- To develop sound and extensive knowledge of local resources to support in enabling appropriate referrals where necessary.
- To link in with wider Herts Mind Network services and facilitate referrals
- To ensure that a collaborative approach is used, with effective communication links developed with external professional NHS services and to work as an effective member of any multi-disciplinary team. This will require stringent relationships.
- To support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

You will offer compassionate, confidential, support to CYP of all genders, who have been subjected to sexual violence and abuse. Some of the work will be providing specialised wrap around support to children and their families where the child has been, or is currently being sexually exploited (CSE support). You will provide information about reporting processes; support CYP who have reported to the police; provide emotional support to CYP when they give their evidence in court and provide information about other options, such as civil action and Criminal Injuries Compensation.

Working mostly remotely, with home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes.
This role is flexible, allowing you to structure your own working pattern within weekdays from 6 AM to 8 PM. While travel is required, you’ll have control over your diary. Key Responsibilities
- Providing direct support to road victims and their families in the Thames Valley region, following Brake’s trauma-informed model of care.
- Managing a caseload of service users, ensuring their emotional, practical, and advocacy needs are met.

We’re looking for a People & Culture Administrator to join our small but dynamic central office team. You'll be the friendly first point of contact for HR queries, supporting everything from recruitment and onboarding to payroll prep and wellbeing initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping employee records accurate and up to date (Planday & SharePoint)
- Supporting recruitment admin and coordinating onboarding and exits
- Helping managers across our sites with job adverts and employment letters
- Preparing and checking data for payroll accuracy
- Coordinating initiatives like Wellbeing Mentors
- Assisting with the administration of the organisation wide performance management processes (including appraisals and supervisions)
- Supporting internal communications, events, and policy rollouts

The Events Officer is a pivotal member of the Events HQ team, responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse portfolio of events as outlined in the Events HQ roadmap. This includes providing expert consultancy to the wider organisation, ensuring a unified and professional approach to all event activities.
Collaborating with specialists across the charity and the Brand and Marketing directorate, you will support the development and maintenance of logistical and administrative frameworks that enable successful event delivery. By leveraging your expertise, you will help create events that inspire action and align with the charity’s strategic outcomes.
What's the role about?
Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will play a critical role in delivering audience-focused events that engage supporters, members, and stakeholders. This includes high-value cultivation events, engagement initiatives, and webinars. You'll work closely with the Events HQ team to develop comprehensive project plans, conduct thorough risk assessments, and ensure seamless on-the-day logistics, guaranteeing a high-quality experience for all participants.
A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, external specialists, suppliers, and partners. You will act as a key liaison for speakers, providing necessary briefing materials and training, especially for online event delivery. Your ability to inspire and engage others is essential to the successful execution of events.
The role demands significant expertise in event logistics, from initial planning and risk management to live event operations. You will be a strong project manager, adept at handling both proactive and reactive tasks with a solutions-focused approach. You'll be skilled in using databases and CRM systems to manage relationships, as well as tools for budget and supplier management, ensuring the efficient allocation and oversight of resources.
Through your work, you will contribute significantly to the charity’s mission, engaging more diverse audiences and encouraging them to take action for nature through time, money, voice, and choice. Your dedication to excellence and strategic impact ensures that all events achieve their desired outcomes and uphold the organisation’s values.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrable experience of supporting and leading on elements of events of varying sizes - including events for over 1,000 people, including high-value cultivation events, engagement events, and webinars.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience of delivering online events to over 500 attendees, including live polling, panel discussion and working with production companies
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience in managing and prioritising multiple objectives, workstreams and communication priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of event logistics, including risk assessment and health and safety considerations.
- Knowledge of marketing and communications strategies related to event promotion and audience engagement.
Additional information:
As part of event delivery there will be some evening and weekend working, including late night/early hours set up occasionally.
The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
