PURPOSE OF POSITION

This is a critical operational leadership role that is responsible for the operation of the
organisation’s supported accommodation services.

Providing operational leadership to team managers and ensuring compliance with
organisational, contractual, local authority and legal regulations and the quality of
services is pushed to the highest possible standards; ensuring excellent outcomes for
residents and a positive and high performing working environment for teams.

This role will also be accountable for the development of excellent relationships with
external partners, commissioners, and other key stakeholders for support services in
the organisation.

You will be a key member of the charity's Extended Leadership team

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Service Delivery

• Lead in setting organisational standards and performance targets across the
support and resident services teams that reflect contractual requirements and
organisational standards.
• Actively promote and develop person centred practices based on a trauma
informed approach and psychologically informed environment to working with
residents with high support needs and challenging behaviour.
• Be accountable for the operational performance of the services, allocating
resources strategically to ensure that key performance indicators are achieved
and that action plans are in place where required to improve service
performance.
• Remodelling to promote accountability and co-production approaches with
residents.
• Work with the Head of Building & Facilities to ensure your teams put health &
safety procedures into practice to create a safe environment for our residents
and staff. Contribute, and when required, lead on the formation and review of
policies and procedures.

• Contribute to the Frontline Service’s Management On Call rota, providing
support to frontline services outside of office hours

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with Commissioners and regulatory bodies to enable
the service to meet contractual and regulatory KPI's and requirements.
• Submit management information on a monthly and quarterly basis and produce
other statistics and data as directed by the Director of Frontline Services.
• Responsible for effective liaison with outside agencies including the police, social
services and other statutory and voluntary agencies and delegating this work
where appropriate.
• Represent the organisation externally at forums, conferences and meetings.
• Contribute to the wider management team in frontline services to ensure good
communication, coordination and consistency of practice, approach and
development across the Directorate.

Business Planning and Project Management
• Drive business planning activities within contracts, ensuring relevant and
challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing
turn around action plans as may be necessary
• Where agreed, project manage new services or service developments.
• Working closely with Finance Department to set, manage and monitor allocated
budgets for income and expenditure for support and resident services and to
ensure that teams meet performance targets.
• To ensure that financial procedures are maintained at all times in accordance
with organisational policies and procedures.

Managing and Developing People
• Take a leading role in developing a positive, values-based organisational
culture, in line with the charity's Your Place Way approach
• Developing performance targets and quality control measures for teams, and
monitoring performance to ensure that these are met.
• Supporting managers and teams by setting clear objectives and holding
individual supervisions regularly.
• Ensuring good communication across teams by holding team meetings
regularly, and additional briefings as necessary.
• Inducting new managers and planning the continuous professional development
of existing managers through annual appraisals.
• Managing the workload of teams to ensure that adequate cover is provided at
all times.

Safeguarding
• Act as Safeguarding Lead for the organisation
• To actively promote an open and accountable approach across the
organisation as a whole that ensures the organisation meets our legal duties,
keeps our policies up to date, and puts our residents' best interests at the
forefront.

Intensive Housing Management
• Ensure that our landlord responsibilities are delivered in a person-centred way
and in line with our regulatory and legal responsibilities
• Oversee the creation of a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment across all
our services that is responsive to resident needs.
• Develop standards and practice that provide clear evidence-based reporting to
meet regulatory compliance

General
• To attend meetings internally as and when necessary, for example, Directorate,
Management and planning meetings.
• To undertake such other duties within the competence of the post holder which
may be required from time to time.

Skills & knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of the housing and support needs of single
people who experience homelessness and rough sleeping, the benefit of move
on and the ability to translate knowledge into good practice.
• Knowledge of the commercial and regulatory requirements of supported
housing.
• CIH Level 5 qualification
Abilities
• Ability to interact at senior, strategic level with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured environment, with multiple
competing priorities and to quickly adapt to new situations.

Desirable criteria

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Insights and Evaluation team at Dementia UK in a pivotal role that promotes a culture of learning and evaluation across the charity.

As the Insights and Evaluation Advisor, you will lead and support evaluations that measure and communicate the impact of Admiral Nursing and wider Dementia UK initiatives. You will design and deliver robust evaluations using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, ensuring high standards of data quality, ethical practice and GDPR compliance.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity, you will provide expert advice on evaluation design, data collection and analysis, to develop datasets that drive evidence-based practice. In addition, you will support Admiral Nurses to build their evaluation skills, enabling them to measure and communicate the difference they make to families affected by dementia. By embedding insight into projects and services, you will help turn data into meaningful action, informing decisions, campaigns and improving outcomes across Dementia UK.

To succeed in this role, you will have a First Degree and demonstratable experience in a relevant discipline e.g. health research and evaluation, health service improvement, public health and social research. You will need strong evaluation, research and project management skills including advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Additionally, you should be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to influence and advise colleagues at all levels.

Role purpose:

A member of the Senior Management Team providing management and direction to the Support Services to deliver The Stoll Foundation’s strategic objectives. This role is to provide operational oversight of tenant support and engagement services, ensuring vulnerable veterans are empowered, well-supported, and actively involved in shaping the services they receive. The role is central to fostering inclusive communities, improving tenancy sustainment, and enhancing resident wellbeing through collaborative, person-centred approaches.

To manage all Support Services across Soll, plus outreach services with partners.

Key responsibilities:

· Responsible to the Director of Support and Tenant Engagement for providing leadership and management of the Support Team in the provision of person-centred services, plus ensuring tenants are actively engaged in line with our Beneficiary Involvement policy.

· Implemented strategic objectives that align with our organisational goals. Ensuring that agreed outcomes are met, while actively monitoring progress.

· Present regular management information and detailed reports on key performance indicators, providing insights to guide decision-making and enhance service delivery. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, driving our mission to provide quality supported housing solutions for the community.

· Act as Safeguarding Lead.

· Deputise for the Director as required.

Management of Support Services

· Take on a strategic lead with other agencies including housing, health and social care professionals as required.

· Manage and maintain services in accordance with the principles and practice of equality and diversity.

· Ensure Support Plans and Risk Assessments are undertaken in line with Stoll’s policies and procedures.

· Ensure that there is a menu of health and wellbeing services provided, in consultation with beneficiaries.

· Ensure beneficiaries are involved in the design, delivery, and monitoring of services.

· Support the Director in undertaking a review of Support Services.

· Oversee the assessment of applicants on the waiting list for housing and support at Stoll. This includes monitoring progress.

· Ensure that each scheme is well managed, and staff cover is provided when necessary.

· Ensure any risks or significant concerns are escalated as required.

·         As a member of the Senior Management Team contribute to the strategic vision and direction of Stoll, working proactively to ensure that services meet the changing needs and demands of the ex-Service community.

Person Specification

• Significant experience of managing and leading Support Services at a senior level, working with adults.
• Significant experience in the involvement of beneficiaries.
• Experience of managing staff, including dispersed staff teams.
• Track record of developing teams and services.

Key Responsibilities

· Co-lead and develop your team in partnership with the Service Manager in delivering recovery-focused, high-quality, safe and person-centred care, delivering great outcomes for people using services.

Main purpose of post
This role is to lead and be responsible for the development, management and
delivery of WPCC’s high quality, professional counselling and complementary
therapy services for adults, and for children and young people, at the Cavendish
Centre and in outreach locations. This role supports the holistic well-being of
service users, ensuring the services are safe, effective, accessible, and aligned
with the charity’s values and objectives

 To lead and be responsible for the delivery of effective service provision,
including outreach services, and to maintain the ethos and high
standard of the supportive care offered.
 To lead a service that provides one-to-one and small group
complementary therapy services and one-to-one counselling for around
1,000 beneficiaries per annum, including outreach provision in hospitals.
 To be responsible for the management of a complementary therapy and
counselling services budget of around £500,000 per annum.
Leadership & Service Development
 Lead and develop complementary therapy and counselling services to
meet the needs of clients, families, and carers.
 Plan and schedule timetables and freelance staffing rotas to maximise
the availability of counselling and complementary therapies within
available budgets, maximising freelancer availability and efficient
appointment scheduling.
 Evaluate and enhance service delivery in line with best practices, clinical
guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
 Identify and implement service improvements, based on user feedback,
evidence-based practice, and sector developments.
 Work effectively with the Head of Cancer Services and other service leads
to ensure counselling and complementary therapies are an integral part
of the wider WPCC service offer to people affected by cancer.
 To be part of a service lead team which can provide leadership cover
across all services to address day-to-day operational issues, including
safeguarding cover (for adult and children’s services) and maintenance
of service availability.
Freelance therapist management
 Recruit, support, and manage a multidisciplinary team of freelance
counsellors, therapists, and volunteers.
 Ensure therapists delivering these services are of a suitable quality, and
have up-to-date and relevant accreditation/professional registration to practice, including clinical supervision arrangements, insurance, CPD
and DBS checks.
 Provide professional oversight of freelance therapists ensuring all
professional standards are met
 Ensure all team members adhere to safeguarding, clinical governance,
and confidentiality standards.
 To ensure therapists delivering these services are of a suitable quality
and have up-to-date and relevant accreditation/professional registration
to practice, including clinical supervision arrangements, insurance, CPD
and DBS checks.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ethical standards and legal
requirements in counselling and complementary therapy (e.g. BACP,
CNHC, HCPC).
 Oversee risk assessments, safeguarding processes, and incident
reporting procedures.
 Monitor and report on service performance using agreed metrics and
impact evaluation tools.
Client Care & Support
 Ensure services are inclusive, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and
tailored to individual needs.
 Act as a senior point of contact for complex cases, ensuring appropriate
pathways and referrals.
 Maintain a client-centred approach, fostering dignity, respect, and
empowerment.
Partnerships & Engagement
 Build and maintain relationships with health professionals, community
organisations, and funders.
 Liaise as required with external stakeholders, such as healthcare
professionals, safeguarding teams, education providers, social services,
and third sector partners.
 Promote the service through outreach, events, and stakeholder
engagement.
 Contribute to grant applications, reports, and impact assessments to
support sustainability and growth.
Governance, Administration & Reporting
 Manage budgets for therapy and counselling services, ensuring costeffectiveness.
 Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and data
protection policies.
 Ensure suitable collection of activity data and produce service activity
and evaluation reports for internal and external stakeholders.

The Role

This multifaceted role blends financial expertise, business services leadership, and compliance oversight, including Health & Safety, HR administration, procurement, fleet management, and facilities. You will be key in ensuring strong financial controls and supporting strategic decisions to enhance the impact of our charity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage branch financial compliance, ensuring timely, accurate reporting aligned with Trust policies.

• Lead financial modelling and analysis to support new and ongoing branch activities.

• Oversee business support services including HR administration, insurance, data protection, and facilities management.

• Manage procurement and contract arrangements to secure best value and service quality.

• Provide strategic oversight of Health & Safety compliance, working with partners and branch teams.

• Lead fleet management, ensuring compliance, maintenance, and cost-effectiveness.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with strong management accounting skills; part-qualified candidates considered.

• Charity financial management experience, including understanding of Charity SORP and subsidiary reporting.

• Proven track record managing business services functions, Health & Safety, and procurement.

• Experience with fleet oversight and compliance management.

• Strong analytical skills, including financial modelling and forecasting.

Our People Operations Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of our people processes, systems, and administration, ensuring that they are fully fit for purpose. The role is varied including optimising people processes and systems, managing and developing our global HRIS, configuring and rolling-out new systems/modules (e.g. global ATS, UK payroll), overseeing UK and international payroll administration and UK pension and benefits, managing our UK business sponsorship licence and sponsor duties, ensuring a high-quality information and reporting service to internal stakeholders, and working on global people projects and initiatives.

You will have substantial experience managing people operations at a similar level, developing, implementing and managing systems, processes and administration relating to all stages of the employee life-cycle. You will be comfortable configuring, managing and maintaining a HRIS. You will have a thorough understanding of UK payroll processes and UK pension regulations, as well as a thorough understanding of UK employment and immigration law. Experience as a SMS Level 1 User is desirable and experience managing a global HRIS would be an advantage.

You will have excellent people management skills and will enjoy collaborating and consulting with colleagues around the globe to understand their needs as we strive for continuous improvement. Your interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build effective and productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels across Fauna & Flora.

You will have a methodical and rigorous approach to work and a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent numeracy and data analysis skills are also essential, as is knowledge of data protection legislation and fluency in spoken and written English.
