Demand for jobs
Candidate demand, measured by the number of clicks on a job ad’s ‘Apply’ button, increased by 59% compared to the same period in 2023. It was also up 21% compared to the previous quarter.
Candidate numbers
The number of active candidates on our website was up 25% compared to the same quarter in 2023, and up 31% from October―December 2023.
The number of new candidate registrations was 19% higher than the same period in 2023. January 2024 saw almost 12,000 new candidates register on our website, up 25% compared to January 2023.
Number of jobs posted
The number of jobs posted saw a decrease of 17% from the same quarter in 2023. March, in particular, saw a year-on-year decrease of 27%.
These figures continue the trend we saw in July–September 2023 and in October―December 2023. Once again there are more active candidates and new registrations, and a decrease in the number of jobs posted. The market is increasingly recruiter-led.
