· participating in recruitment activities and training for prospective adopters

About you:

As a Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in childcare social work and as a Senior Social Worker, a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. Are you passionate about nature’s recovery across the UK and telling this story to inspire others? Do you believe that community voices are central to nature’s recovery? Then this may be the role for you. 

As the twin nature and climate crises continue to accelerate, communities are already feeling the effects of increased flooding, drought and soil loss. At the same time, nature disconnectedness is causing many people to feel powerless to act. This role seeks to redress that balance, by telling the stories of nature recovery from those that it is affecting directly. To give a voice to local communities and amplify these messages in ways that inspire others to take action be that through direct action, policy making, funding or wider support. 

The Temperate Rainforest Restoration Programme is a £38.9 million, 100-year programme working in a long-term partnership with Aviva. Native to the British Isles, temperate rainforest is an incredibly rare and biodiverse habitat, rarer even, than its tropical counterpart. This programme is going beyond traditional habitat restoration and creating new rainforests on eligible sites across the bioclimatic envelope (the area along our Atlantic coastline with the specific conditions needed for rainforest to thrive). 

This post will work across teams within The Wildlife Trusts’ to tell the story of this restoration and promote the importance of temperate rainforests based on connecting with people and telling their first-hand accounts of the work of Wildlife Trusts along the west of the UK, with a particular focus on Wales. This role will need to relay stories of how nature restoration benefits communities helping them adapt to our changing climate. Your work will give a voice to living memories of the land but also look ahead, effectively and compassionately communicating the need for a just transition to create more resilient landscapes that benefit future generations. 

About You 

You are a passionate science communicator with a demonstrable ability to inspire action in others for nature’s recovery. Your strong communications skills include the ability to create clear, audience-specific messaging and use digital tools to engage and connect with people wherever they are. You can build coherent narratives so that stories gather momentum over time and balance personal storytelling with the need to maintain brand consistency. Your outgoing and collaborative working style also makes you comfortable engaging with people face to face, going to meet people where they are and using these relationships to share real-world stories which foster a sense of shared ownership of content produced. 

Experience of working in rural or farming contexts is beneficial, particularly in terms of Welsh culture and while knowledge of UK nature conservation, particularly woodlands, is helpful, it is not essential. What matters most is your ability to build rapport quickly and tell stories with conviction whoever the audience.

Age UK is hiring a Portfolio Support Officer! This role will support the delivery of funded programmes, projects and activity, providing support across a portfolio of activity linked to the delivery of services and projects across the Age UK Network.

You'll be supporting with elements of activity and reporting across multiple areas, providing support to the wider Delivery team with communications, general administration, project administration. We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. Knights Youth Centre (KYC) was established in 1936 as an independent Christian Charity. The centre provides a range of universal and targeted youth work programmes in partnership with a number of statutory and voluntary organisations and is located on the boundary of the Clapham Park Estate (the largest estate in the Borough of Lambeth). In 2025 KYC is joining the Oasis family of charities and will be known as Oasis@Knights. Oasis’ vision is for community, a place where everyone is included, making a contribution and reaching their God-given potential.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Lead to run our Senior Group Session (ages14-18) at Oasis@Knights. This is an opportunity to run engaging and informative activities for young people aged 14-18 in the Lambeth area, inspiring them to reach their potential and to make a real difference to their community. The successful candidate will be responsible for running these sessions weekly, managing session staff, delivering engaging activities, attending occasional day trips, as well as responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. To lead the delivery of youth sessions at Knights Youth Centre (KYC) and facilitate youth provision in line with the ethos, values and vision of Oasis. 
2. To work and engage with young people (aged 14-18), by delivering planned sessions, activities and occasional trips.   
3. Deliver informal education opportunities and small group mentoring within the identified sessions and the wider community. 
4. To manage and coordinate KYC staff members whilst leading sessions.
5. Record all activity on our data management system. 
6. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you come into contact with. 
7. Actively engage in the learning and professional development courses provided as part of this employment.

The successful post holder must have:

· Proven experience in leading youth work provision for young people aged 14-18.

· Experience of managing staff in a youth provision setting.

· An understanding of the challenges impacting young people in Lambeth – in particular education, employment, mental health and criminal exploitation.

· Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience working with young people in challenging environments.

· A commitment to the Oasis ethos and values, including inclusion, equality, and perseverance.
