We are looking for a warm, flexible and highly motivated fundraiser to work across all areas of our fundraising, from securing income from trusts and foundations and corporate partners to staying on top of our individual giving. 

You’ll benefit from regular mentoring sessions with an external fundraising consultant and be able to foster close relationships with our board of trustees and other key stakeholders. 

BYO has a very small core team, which you’ll be part of, and a large number of freelancers and external staff that join for programmes, events and performances. Our registered office is at the London Coliseum but day-to-day, when our big
programmes aren’t running, we work remotely.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
 
The Events Community Fundraiser will lead the development and delivery of RABI’s community events programme, working closely with volunteers, regional supporters, and local stakeholders. This pivotal role focuses on organising and supporting fundraising events that unite our community while driving vital income generation. The Events Community Fundraiser will not manage every community fundraising event directly, but will provide the necessary support, training and guidance to ensure volunteers and local teams are equipped to execute fundraising activities successfully.
 
As a key player in our community-focused fundraising efforts, the Events Community Fundraiser will be at the forefront of fostering regional engagement and support for our committees and community groups, ensuring the continued success and growth of RABI’s fundraising events portfolio. This role will also be responsible for identifying and scaling key events that have the potential to be rolled out nationally, expanding RABI’s reach and impact across a broader geographic area.
 
With a strong emphasis on relationship management and supporter stewardship, the Events Community Fundraiser will spearhead the growth of community-led fundraising initiatives, ensuring that both supporters and volunteers (committee and non-committee) feel valued and empowered. Supported by both centralised and regional teams, this role will play an instrumental part in helping RABI achieve its ambitious five-year fundraising goal of £10 million.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Event Planning and Coordination: Organise and manage a wide range of community fundraising events (e.g. agriculture shows, supporter-led, community and corporate) from concept to execution, ensuring every event is well-planned and runs smoothly.
• Community Engagement: Develop relationships with local community groups, businesses and individuals to foster collaboration and secure event participation. Act as the main point of contact for community stakeholders and partners.
• Promotion and Marketing: Work with the Marketing and Communications team to help create event marketing materials to promote events and drive participation.
• Fundraising Strategy: Set and achieve fundraising targets for each event. Identify new opportunities for fundraising through events and provide recommendations for improving event-related fundraising efforts.
• Volunteer Management: Support volunteers with event planning, logistics and on-the-day activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring that expenses are controlled and fundraising goals are met. Monitor event spending and provide regular budget reports.
• Donor and Sponsor Stewardship: Cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors, ensuring they are properly acknowledged and thanked for their contributions.
• On-the-Day Event Management: Oversee the event on the day to ensure smooth execution, including coordinating logistics, managing staff and volunteers and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations, analysing successes and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports on fundraising outcomes and gather feedback from participants to inform future event improvements.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (Marketing and Communications, Service Delivery, Volunteering and Finance, etc) to align community fundraising efforts with RABI’s overall purpose and goals.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practice standards, upholding RABI’s commitment to ethical and legal fundraising.
• Systems: Effectively use RABI’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to track donor engagement, segment audiences and identify growth opportunities.

 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
 
Essential:

• Proven experience in community fundraising, regional fundraising or events within the charity sector.
• A track record of delivering successful community fundraising events.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, equipped with the skills to engage and inspire a wide range of supporters, stakeholders and volunteers.
• Financial awareness and planning with the ability to develop and manage project-level budgets.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and digital fundraising platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practices in community fundraising.
• A self-motivated, proactive and results-driven approach to work with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and idea generation.
• Empathy with the farming community and an understanding of the challenges faced in rural life.

 
Desirable:

• Experience working in a charity focused on rural, agricultural or community-based initiatives.
• A full UK driving licence, as travel within England and Wales will be required.
• Knowledge of agriculture and the farming sector, with an ability to tailor fundraising approaches accordingly.

The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline. 

This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.

This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).

Main Duties 

Leadership and Management: 

· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth. 

· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches. 

· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.

· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities. 

· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders. 

Oversee and support monitoring submissions.

Fundraising:

· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.

· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.

· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.

· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.

· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams. 

Organisational and General Duties: 

· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity. 

· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process. 

· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).

· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI. 

· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets. 

· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance. 

Communications and Marketing: 

Liaise with colleagues to help shape and implement our marketing and communications plan, ensuring our reputation is upheld and our knowledge is shared through positive, consistent and accurate communications and messaging.

Senior Communications Officer

As Senior Communications Officer, you will be working closely with the Head of Marketing Communications to help plan, create and deliver, with the help of specialists across teams, the Trust’s annual communication plan.

You’ll be responsible for leading communications projects, campaigns and day-to-day activities. You will be delivering creative content and marketing across a range of platforms - both digital and offline –that support the Trust’s Wilder 2030 strategy and showcases the Trust’s work. This will result in bringing nature’s story to life in order to expand the charity’s reach into new and wider audiences and bringing new supporters on board.

You will be able to think creatively, within a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, as well as be comfortable delivering key tasks and mucking in when all hands are needed on deck.

You will be comfortable with the relevant platform analytics to report on progress against agreed key performance indicators.

This senior role is for a highly creative, confident, robust and professional communications individual, who will be working closely with the Head of Marketing Communications and wider team to help plan, create and activate the Trust’s annual communication plan. 

You will:

• Deliver creative communications activities and branded digital content campaigns across the Trust’s key communications channels to increase the Trust’s reach, develop new audiences and convert initial awareness of SWT into measurable engagement/action for nature.
• Devise a plan with tactics to grow the Trust’s key communications channels and digital communities and increase engagement using engaging and dynamic content.
• Provide communications support and project management for a range of exciting projects and campaigns across the whole organisation, liaising with the internal Directorate teams to do so
• Liaise with the central Wildlife Trust (RSWT) team on national campaigns and communications.
• Track analytics and create regular reports detailing effectiveness of communications campaigns and our digital channels.
• Day to day guidance and project oversight for the wider communications team to support them to deliver a high-quality service to the wider organisation and inspire innovation and improvement in all that the team delivers.

Job Description – Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsibility 1: Leading Digital Channels 

• Designing and implementation of SWT’s digital and social media content plan (for both paid and organic content) with the support of the Content & Communications Officer, ensuring it complements the Trust’s overall Wilder Somerset 2030 strategic goals and objectives, marketing plans, key campaigns, engagement and fundraising activity. Driving the high performance and growth of SWT’s social channels – ensuring increasing engagement and reach.
• Working with and supporting the Content & Communications Officer to create a calendar of high-quality engaging, range of content for sharing across internal and external marketing communications channels in support of the strategic vision, ensuring consistency in terms of tone of voice, branding, messaging and frequency of communications across all key channels. The Senior Communications Officer’s social media content plan will aim to grow all SWT’s social media and digital communities and increase organic engagement.
• Expanding reach to bring new supporters on board with the Trust’s mission, to get involved with SWT’s work across the county, take action for nature, and to grow membership and income.
• Working closely with the Website & Email Lead to understand and optimise user journeys and conversions between social channels and the website, and providing support and counsel to the Website & Email Lead with regards to the delivery of impactful email campaigns to support key integrated projects, campaigns and core strategy programmes. Also providing support and guidance on ensuring the website is as effective a channel as it should be as a central destination hub for social and digital journeys.
• Liaising with the Wildlife Trust (RSWT) central office to ensure central content and advocacy campaigns are delivered as agreed on local social channels with local messaging and that the Somerset message is clear, with the use of local case studies and stories.
• With the Content & Communications Officer, and liaising with external providers where necessary, providing brand design support for communications collateral, reports, newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters and presentations. Using appropriate software (e.g., Canva, Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for a range of audiences, creating templates where appropriate for internal staff to utilise to deliver small-scale projects independently.

Responsibility 2: Marketing & PR

• Marketing opportunities including a range of channels from print, media, events to paid online adverts.
• Developing strong relationships with local and national journalists and be the lead day-to-day SWT media contact for press enquiries, with the Content & Communications Officer taking on administrative press office tasks and handling some incoming queries.
• Recommending and developing feature ideas for key publications working up ideas with colleagues across the Trust, selling in stories, and coordinating the provision of spokespeople, background information and logistics.
• Working with, and providing guidance to the Content & Communications Officer, creating and distributing targeted press releases or media alerts where appropriate, following up with key media contacts to maximise coverage and amplify SWT’s successes and impact.
• Be alert and responsive to the news agenda, keeping abreast of issues affecting the Trust and identifying PR opportunities and trends on social media that SWT can engage with, whilst also horizon planning for key contentious issues so as to provide PR support during crisis and major issues.

Responsibility 3: Project Management & Reporting

• With excellent project management and coordination skills you will work with internal stakeholders to design, coordinate and deliver bespoke plans to support a range of key projects across the year such as appeals, big events, campaigns and nature recovery projects.
• Working with the team to deliver any relevant communications training or resources to make available to staff.
• Supervising the monitoring and measurement of campaigns and their success, and reporting key KPIs to internal stakeholders on a monthly basis.
• Internal communications - updating the staff portal on Sharepoint with regards to communication assets, training and resources.
• Representing the Communications Team along with others across the Trust as part of the Trust’s project management working group, feeding back on best practice and new innovations that result in a consistent approach to project management.

Head of Internal Audit

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as the internal auditor.

Position: SIT60 Head of Internal Audit

Location: Home-based. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £33,500 (FTE circa £51k) (inner London weighting £2,595 pro rata or outer London weighting £1,495 pro rata may be applied in accordance with where you live)

Hours: Part-time, 23 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

The Role

The role reports to the Associate Director of Legal and Governance, with an independent reporting line to the Chair of the Finance Committee.

The role will provide a comprehensive programme of internal audits into the activities of our charity and will report to our Finance Committee with recommendations for improvement. This is a crucial role in safeguarding the charity’s assets and reputation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• To establish effective and robust operational and strategic Internal Audit plans for the Charity and to report on progress of the plan
• To carry out the Internal Audits within the Internal Audit Plan, within the agreed timetable and budget shown in the Plan, to report on them, to present them to Board and Committee meetings and to monitor progress.
• To liaise with externally sourced providers of internal audit services in support of the role and for conducting internal audits into specialist areas of activity of the charity (such as IT arrangements).
• To maintain a strong working relationship with the Finance Committee, its Chair and the Chief Executive and to act as a Business Partner to all Executive Directors in relation to internal audit.
• To contribute to the Charity’s efforts to avoid fraud, including by advising on new policies and to lead on fraud investigations where appropriate
• To ensure a joined-up approach to both the external and internal audit work, minimising duplication and feeding into the external audit risk assessment.
• To liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure any potential new financial systems have adequate consideration of internal controls.
• To keep up to date with Internal Audit practice and developments and advise the Charity in relation to internal audit matters.

About You

You will have:

• A qualification in internal audit or accounting (e.g. CIA, MIIA, AAT, ACCA, CIMA) as a minimum.
• A good knowledge of how charities operate and their main processes including Finance, HR, Fundraising and CRM systems.
• An in-depth knowledge of risk based internal auditing techniques, including testing and sampling methodologies.
• A good understanding of charity related compliance requirements, and appropriate counter-fraud measures and risk management processes
• An ability to act with authority and provide an independent voice on internal audit matters affecting the charity.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Corporate Community Fundraiser will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated fundraising strategies that engage corporate partners and communities at local, regional and national levels. Working collaboratively with RABI’s Philanthropy and Partnerships team, this pivotal role will involve cultivating meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to increase income to support RABI’s purpose, strengthening relationships across the business sector and rural communities.

With a strong emphasis on relationship management and supporter stewardship, the Corporate Community Fundraiser will play a key role in shaping and developing sponsorship packages and offers, ensuring they are attractive and aligned with the interests of corporate partners and RABI’s fundraising goals.

This will involve helping tailor sponsorship opportunities for committee events, campaigns and initiatives that not only drive engagement but also maximise financial support.

In addition to developing corporate partnerships, the Corporate Community Fundraiser will be responsible for training and equipping regional volunteers (committee members and non-committee members) to identify and engage local corporate supporters, ensuring alignment with RABI’s broader corporate fundraising strategy. Supported by both centralised resources and volunteers, this role will play a crucial role in helping RABI achieve its ambitious five-year fundraising goal of £10 million.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop Regional and Local Corporate Partnerships: Build and manage strong relationships with regional and local corporate partners and businesses to drive fundraising support. Identify and secure new partnerships to expand our donor base.
• Fundraising Strategy: Design and execute community-focused fundraising initiatives, including corporate sponsorships. Collaborate with the team to develop short and long-term fundraising goals.
• Event Planning and Execution: Plan and oversee fundraising events (e.g. agriculture show raffles/competitions, supporter-led, community and corporate) that engage corporate partners, their employees and the wider community. Work closely with the events lead, volunteers, committees, and regional teams to secure sponsorships, in-kind goods and services and local business support.
• Corporate Giving Programmes: Develop and promote programmes that encourage corporate involvement, such as matching gifts, employee volunteering (with support from Volunteering) and workplace giving initiatives.
• Outreach and Communication: Regularly engage with both local and regional corporate partners and community organisations through tailored communications, presentations and reports. Keep them informed of the impact of their contributions.
• Budget and Financial Management: Help coordinate the fundraising budget for corporate initiatives and ensure resources are used efficiently to meet fundraising goals.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on the success of corporate partnerships. Analyse results to improve future strategies and share progress with internal stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (Marketing and Communications, Service Delivery, Volunteering and Finance, etc.) to align community fundraising efforts with RABI’s overall purpose and goals.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practice standards, upholding RABI’s commitment to ethical and legal fundraising.
• Systems: Effectively use RABI’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to track donor engagement, segment audiences and identify growth opportunities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

• Proven experience in corporate or community fundraising within the charity sector.
• Demonstrated success in securing and nurturing successful corporate partnerships.
• Financial awareness and planning with ability to develop and manage project-level budgets.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, equipped with the skills to engage and inspire a wide range of supporters, stakeholders and volunteers.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and digital fundraising platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practices in corporate fundraising.
• A self-motivated, proactive and results-driven approach to work with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and idea generation.
• Empathy with the farming community and an understanding of the challenges faced in rural life.

Desirable:

• Experience working in a charity focused on rural, agricultural or community-based initiatives.
• A full UK driving licence, as travel within England and Wales will be required.
• Knowledge of agriculture and the farming sector, with an ability to tailor fundraising approaches accordingly.

At Demelza we support children with serious or life-limiting conditions and their families, providing them with care and support, from first diagnosis and for as long as we are needed. To help support even more children and families, we’re looking for a passionate Area Fundraising Manager to join our team.

This is a full time role and requires weekend and evening working with the ability to travel independently.

What you will be doing

This is a strategic and creative role at the heart of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s national fundraising and engagement efforts. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of national community and challenge event programmes across all four UK regions (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).

Using strong project and campaign management skills, the role will grow existing initiatives charity owned initiatives such as the Great British Dog Walk and the 28 Challenge and develop new, audience-led campaigns that inspire public participation, drive fundraising, and deepen long-term engagement with the charity.

In addition to the owned initiatives, the role will promote Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to participants of external national events such as The Great North Run or the London Marathon.

The ultimate objectives are to drive income generation and guide supporters from initial involvement to becoming volunteers for the broader work of the charity and legacy pledgers.

• Proactive and confident self-starter with proven experience in campaign management, digital fundraising, and audience engagement.

About Barnet African Caribbean Association
Barnet African Caribbean Association is a small but long-standing registered charity dedicated to supporting older. Many of our members live with long-term health conditions such as the effects of stroke or dementia.

We run a weekly day centre on Tuesdays, where we bring people together to enjoy a hot meal, social activities and companionship. From exercise classes, arts and crafts, quizzes and games, to health visitor sessions, our programme is designed to promote wellbeing, reduce isolation and celebrate culture. We also provide advice, information and outreach support beyond the day centre.
