They will lead our therapeutic programmes and staff team to deliver excellent care to residents in residential treatment from substance misuse.

It is an exciting time to join Kenward as we expand and diversify our services to meet the changing needs of people accessing treatment. This is a demanding and rewarding role requiring outstanding knowledge of current and emerging evidence-based treatments. Accountable at Board level and working closely with our Consultant Addictions Psychiatrist and Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of person-centred, trauma-informed care that builds recovery capital and the scaffolding that promote sustained recovery.

Kenward Trust provides both 12-Step and SMART recovery models with a trauma-informed approach to both. All residents experience additional therapy from our unique Therapeutic Gardens and Workshops which were rated as Outstanding by the CQC. Kenward Trust is constantly evolving and you will play a pivotal role in its place a Kent's leading addiction treatment centre. 

We are looking to recruit an experienced professional who holds a recognised therapeutic qualification to a minimum of Level 4 with membership of a recognised professional body. They will have a minimum of 3 years managerial responsibility of multi-disciplinary working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation or community setting

About the role and you

The key purpose of this role is to:

• Effectively manage a portfolio or grants across all of our priority areas
• Work closely with the team, grant holders and Board members, developing strong and supportive working relationships
• Contribute to the development of our new strategy and be committed to our values and share our aspirations around best grantmaking practice

The new Grants Manager will need to be genuinely interested in grantmaking in our priority areas and will have the curiosity to learn and develop new areas of knowledge and expertise. You will need to be able to demonstrate a passion for the work of small, grassroots organisations, have emotional intelligence and strong communications skills, and also be genuinely excited about joining our team. 

This could be the right opportunity for a range of potential candidates. We value the knowledge and expertise gained through lived experience of social injustice alongside sector experience. We’re not looking for a seasoned grant maker but you will need to bring commitment to our work and vision, demonstrate experience of seeking to bring about change on tough issues, and have experience of one or more of our priority areas.

he Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the Citizen Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Hours: Full-Time - Monday - Friday; 9.30am - 5.30pm with some out-of-hours work needed for events such as our Spear Celebrations

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there. ​

• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
• Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Work with and be managed by Citizen Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
• Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
• Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Keep the Citizen Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

The Resident Engagement Manager will be the organisational lead in a new and exciting lottery funded project leading a small team and overseeing the design and delivery of the LEAP service at Homeless Oxfordshire and with wider partners.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership across the organisation on resident engagement, learning and skills, co-production and activities.
• To promote the active involvement of the resident’s experience and voice in the delivery, development and monitoring of LEAP service.
• To provide support and line management supervision to the engagement team, ensuring they meet all aims, objectives and outcomes, according to the lottery bid.
• Lead on monitoring, data collection and impact measures for all resident engagement work.
• Lead on the design of the peer mentoring training and traineeship programmes.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with key stakeholders including education, employment and third sector partners.
• Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships to ensure managers and teams deliver high quality services that are reflective of Homeless Oxfordshire’s values and address local needs.
• Lead on the development of a mutual support network for staff with lived experience
• Comply with Homeless Oxfordshire’s policies and procedures
• Contribute to a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are valued and staff are enabled to do their best.

About LEAP

LEAP is built on the foundation of strong, supportive relationships that empower residents to move towards stable, independent living. Through one-to-one key worker support, trauma-informed care, and community engagement, residents rebuild trust, form friendships, and gain confidence. Activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing foster connection and personal growth, while group involvement helps residents feel part of a wider community. LEAP also supports residents to take steps into peer mentoring, volunteering, and training, helping them build positive networks beyond their immediate circle and develop the skills and confidence to thrive independently.

At LEAP, community involvement is at the heart of their work. Empowering residents through co-production is a key organisational goal. LEAP offer a range of inclusive engagement methods—from informal gatherings like group breakfasts and creative activities, to structured sessions such as support needs mapping and Residents’ Forums. These forums provide regular opportunities for feedback and co-design, with input reaching senior management and trustees. They are enhancing resident engagement by developing a mutual support network for staff with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction. This group will shape services and policies, and guide resident outreach. LEAP also collaborates with local partners like RAW, a social enterprise offering training and employment to those with lived experience, and strengthens ties with adult education providers such as Abingdon and Witney College. We also create pathways to volunteer with cultural institutions like the University of Oxford Museums.

LEAP empowers people with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move towards independent living and employment. Over three years, the project aims to support 750 individuals. Through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities, residents will experience positive outcomes such as increased confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of inclusion. They will build supportive networks, learn key life skills and access training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Many will gain qualifications and secure long-term accommodation. The project strengthens peer support and enables residents to shape services through formalised Residents’ Forums, ensuring their voices influence senior decision-making. For Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAP enhances our capacity to deliver peer-led support, builds staff knowledge, and informs service improvement. Wider community benefits include reduced stigma around homelessness, stronger partnerships with employers and organisations, and improved understanding of the issues faced by our residents—ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Location - This role covers the southern region of the UK - as this is a homebased role we welcome applicants from any part of the UK, however the expectation would be for you to attend meetings and events in your region and our offices.

About the role

Our Participation and Involvement Manager will build on existing practice across the organisation and lead on the implementation and further development of a participation and involvement framework, enabling a large and diverse range of kinship carers to share their views and expertise meaningfully, safely and effectively to shape Kinship’s activity. It will also support our growing participation and involvement activity which involves children, young people and young adults with experience of growing up in kinship care.

You will work closely with kinship carers and colleagues across the organisation to understand the key challenges and opportunities with embedding participatory methods, including co-production and co-design, which improve Kinship’s work – right from the design and delivery of our advice and support services through to influencing policy and campaigning for change.

With support from colleagues, you will act as the key cross-organisational adviser on participation and involvement practice, supporting and empowering colleagues to develop the skills and knowledge they need to embed a consistent approach to the involvement of kinship carers to best suit the needs of their roles.

As an enthusiastic and engaging facilitator, and an advocate for participatory methods, you will sensitively and skillfully work alongside kinship carers and colleagues to deliver high quality involvement activity which supports the charity’s mission and aims. You will also be an experienced project manager, ensuring all activity is appropriately monitored and evaluated, and aligned with best practice around equality and diversity, remuneration, safeguarding and governance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Refine and further develop an existing organisational participation and involvement framework which supports staff to meaningfully, safely and effectively involve kinship carers in their work.
• Design and implement a plan to embed effective practice based on the framework across Kinship, building a positive organisational culture and providing appropriate training, upskilling and support to colleagues to ensure consistency of delivery and experience for kinship carers.
• Lead a cross-organisational working group of people with relevant lived, learned and professional experiences to support and advise on embedding high-quality participation and involvement activity.

• Develop and recruit a network of people with lived experience interested in being more intensively involved in participatory activities, with a focus on increasing the diversity of people working with us.

Essential experience includes:

• Experience managing and leading the delivery of participation or involvement activity with people with lived experience of social issues.
• A commitment to meaningful participation and involvement activity, including a nuanced understanding of the individual and organisational opportunities and challenges associated with this.
• Knowledge of models, methodologies and approaches used in high quality participation and involvement activity, and strong skills in creative facilitation – particularly with groups.
• An understanding of kinship care and how this may impact on kinship carers’ involvement with Kinship and our activity.
• Experience of effective project management with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Our Fundraising team is growing and as such, we’re looking for a creative and passionate individual to join us in a brand-new role of Membership & Individual Giving Manager.

Membership is one of the key strategic priorities to achieve unrestricted income over the next five years, and in this role, you’ll be overseeing recruitment, retention and managing attrition of members, understanding our members and creating relevant offers and experiences. The role will manage income from individuals through appeals and growing income and support through our nature reserves. The time spent on each area be approximately, membership 60%, IG 30% and legacies 10%.

Role Purpose

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. We have an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious Income Generation Team as our Fundraising Assistant. 

This role plays a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our Fundraising. Our supporters are hugely important to us. You will act as a first port-of-call for all incoming enquiries, knowing when and how to respond or when to escalate. You will be a cornerstone for the whole of our fundraising team providing dedicated support and assistance to the whole team. You will be a talented admin professional with outstanding customer service skills who is passionate about making a real difference.

Main Responsibilities

• To ensure that we provide an excellent supporter experience to all our supporters.
• Ensure that supporters have all the materials that they need to fundraise for us in time for their activity either as identified by you or as requested by colleagues in the fundraising team.
• Chase expected fundraising income where necessary.
• Manage our stock of supporter materials to reorder equipment and resources as needed.
• Act as a ‘front of house’ for our fundraising team, managing all incoming enquiries, knowing when and how to respond or when to escalate.

I am currently recruiting an Interim Talent Acquisition Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) for an established not-for-profit organisation based in East London. The role will pay £48,563 per year and will start in early August 2025. This role will involve hybrid working with at least 1 day per week in the office and the remainder working from home.

Reporting to the Head of People and managing 2 Recruitment Coordinators and a Recruitment Administrator, the successful candidate will come from an in-house recruitment background and understand how to manage internal recruitment processes, with experience of advising hiring managers on recruitment campaigns for roles across various industries, such as fundraising, digital, finance, safeguarding, volunteer management, project management etc.

Experience in the Charity sector would be advantageous and you will have experience of managing and motivating a team. You should have a track record of implementing initiatives to ensure an inclusive recruitment process from the start of a recruitment campaign to the onboarding process, and strategies to increase the diversity of candidate pools, as well as other candidate attracting methods.

You will need to have an understanding of legislation and external developments and how they impact the work of the Recruitment team. It would be ideal if you have experience of working alongside a HR team and understand the impact their work has on the work of the HR team. It would also be advantageous if you have experience of managing internal selection processes as part of organisational restructure programmes.
