Are you an experienced project manager who is passionate about climate action? 

At Community First Yorkshire, we will be delivering a three-year National Lottery funded partnership programme designed to inspire and empower communities and the VCSE sector to take meaningful climate action. We need someone to lead on this exciting, collaborative initiative, shaping a greener, more sustainable future for North Yorkshire.

What you’ll be doing 

In this role, you’ll be leading of team of four, including two Climate Action Officers, an Impact Communications Officer and a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. You’ll use your project management skills to co-ordinate and implement the Village Green programme, overseeing the delivery of activities, finances, marketing material and monitoring and evaluation work. You will work closely with our programme partners to maintain strong governance and build connections with our wider stakeholders to amplify the impact of climate action efforts.
Part of your role will be overseeing the co-design elements of the programme, ensuring community engagement is inclusive, impactful and innovative. You’ll also support with the wider VCSE sector in North Yorkshire, offering guidance on climate action initiatives and commissioning external expertise to deliver key elements of the programme.

What we’re looking for 

We are seeking candidates with all-round excellent project management skills, who can lead a team whilst overseeing the core elements of the programme. Ideally, you’ll understand climate issues and have a commitment to advancing sustainability efforts. You’ll have experience of monitoring, evaluation, and stakeholder collaboration, working with funders to share valuable insights.

This is an opportunity to join the Gaia Centre as a Deputy Service Manager. 

The Deputy Service Manager will manage a team and carry a very small caseload of complex cases when necessary. The post will work closely with victims and survivors of different strands of strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), including domestic abuse and violence (physical, sexual, emotional,  psychological, economic or tech abuse)​​, Sexual Violence (Rape and sexual assault​)​, Stalking and harassment ​, Sexual exploitation ​​(including women working in sex industry and Child Sexual Exploitation)​​, female genital mutilation (FGM)​/cutting , forced marriage​​, So-called ‘honour’-based abuse, provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for survivors of all genders, aged 16 years and over and their children, living, working or/and studying in Lambeth at times from the point of crisis. 

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. Additionally, you will be working with survivors and agencies across Lambeth so will require significant travelling. 

The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, thus enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The post holder will inform survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in Newham, working 35 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. Based in Tobermory the role includes responsibility for managing the charity’s retail operation and taking the lead on fundraising for the Centre and boat activities. The ability to ensure the effective co-ordination and delivery of the charity’s boat and centre operations, on time and within budget, as well as being able to work effectively with the wider team of staff, trustees, volunteers, and external contractors is central to all tasks.

A genuine interest in cetaceans and marine conservation is essential and an understanding of the workings of the third sector would be an advantage.

This is a varied role which differs from season to season and day to day. One day you might be debriefing with our expedition crew aboard our research vessel, the next developing new retail partnerships and promoting the Hebridean Whale Centre.

The role is based in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull which is also where the charity's office, Centre and boat mooring are located. The Programme Operations Manager will work from the office in Tobermory and remotely from home as required to deliver the objectives of the role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage partnerships - Steward a portfolio of trusts, corporates, and individual donors, ensuring consistent communication, timely reporting,  and strong funder retention.

• Lead on bid and application writing - Write tailored and compelling funding applications, proposals, and case materials for grant-giving bodies, corporates, and HNWIs.

• Maintain accurate CRM records and support reporting - Keep the fundraising pipeline up to date in Salesforce and Monday. Track deadlines, ensure data accuracy, and support internal reporting and team coordination.

Person specification

As our Research Manager - Partnerships, you'll play a pivotal role in building and nurturing strategic partnerships to advance palliative and end of life care research in the UK. You will lead the setup of a new Palliative and End of Life Care Research Funders Forum, coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, and support impact planning across a select portfolio of research grants. Main responsibilities:
- Establish and manage a new Research Funders Forum for palliative and end of life care, engaging with the Government and charitable funding bodies.
- Plan and organise workshops and other activities following the identification of the top 10 research priorities in the collaborative Palliative and end of life care Priority Setting Partnership with the James Lind Alliance.
- Identify new opportunities for strategic research partnerships by reviewing databases and networks.
- Monitor a small portfolio of externally funded research projects, ensuring delivery and maximising their policy and practice impact.

- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including research funders, academic collaborators, and sector bodies.

The Role 
 
As a Warehouse Operations Manager you will oversee the Manse Lane Warehouse in Knaresborough, including donation sorting, storage, and supporting the eCommerce and Facilities teams.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will manage the smooth migration of the sorting operation from the Hornbeam Park Donation Centre to Knaresborough, ensuring minimal disruption for customers, staff, and volunteers. Once operational, you will lead stock control and movement across both the Warehouse and Donation Centre, ensuring both sites are well-resourced and run efficiently seven days a week. Although sorting will move to Knaresborough, donation handling will continue at Hornbeam Park, requiring ongoing process review to minimise stock double-handling. 

Specifically, you will: 

Warehouse Setup & Migration – initial objective 

• Define goals, deliverables, and timelines for the new warehouse project. 

• Create detailed project and budget plans with the Finance Business Partner. 

• Identify resources, manage risks, and ensure operational alignment. 

• Design an efficient warehouse layout and manage setup (equipment, tech, logistics). 

Operational Handover & SOPs 

• Develop and implement new SOPs and adjust existing ones to suit the new site. 

• Support the Centre Manager with Duty Management planning and reconfigure the Hornbeam site to reflect its updated purpose. 

Monitoring, Compliance & Continuous Improvement 

• Monitor success of migration via KPIs (efficiency, inventory accuracy, staff feedback). 

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and oversee risk assessments. 

Ongoing Operational Management - Donation Centre & Warehouse 

• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of both sites, maintaining compliance, service quality, and brand standards. 

• Oversee the flow of donated stock from receipt to final distribution, minimising double handling and maintaining stock visibility. 

Customer, Donor & Volunteer Experience 

• Create a welcoming, professional environment for donors, supporters, and visitors. 

• Maintain high standards of customer service and manage complaints locally where possible. 

Duty Management 

• Take an active Duty Manager role and ensure robust Duty Management across both sites. 

Stock Logistics & Distribution 

• Oversee logistics including donor collections, stock deliveries, and shop orders. 

• Ensure appropriate stock allocation to retail/eCommerce based on demographics and demand. 

People Management 

• Line manage the Deputy Warehouse Manager, Sorting Assistants, Van Drivers, and volunteers. 

• Ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and high standards are upheld across the team.

Financial & Commercial Responsibility

About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need:

You will oversee the provision and ongoing development of support services to enable TCV Operations teams throughout the organisation to focus on the core elements of operational delivery and development. The role will be responsible for looking for ongoing improvements in efficiencies and effectiveness, supporting innovation whilst balancing national consistency and adapting to local needs.

There is flexibility around the location of this role - you can be homebased or office based with some national/UK-wide travel. Our Head Office is in Doncaster.
