As our Individual Giving Officer, you'll be at the heart of raising unrestricted funds that directly support our work with Big Issue vendors and our broader poverty-fighting initiatives. This isn't just about fundraising – it's about connecting with people who share our vision and want to be part of the solution.

Your day-to-day will involve developing and running campaigns that recruit new supporters and keep our existing donors engaged across multiple channels. You'll get to work closely with our vendors and support teams to uncover the powerful stories that show the real impact of people's contributions – then craft these into compelling content that inspires others to get involved.

We're looking for someone who can think creatively about income generation, manage the production of supporter materials, and dive into the data to see what's working. You'll be collaborating with colleagues across the organization and working with various stakeholders to make sure our message resonates with supporters.

This role comes with ambitious growth targets, and you'll play a crucial part in helping us reach them. If you're passionate about using storytelling to drive social change and want to directly support the vendors and communities we serve, we'd love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilites:

Content Development & Design 

• Create high-quality digital and media learning materials, including guides, toolkits, presentations, eLearning modules and video resources tailored for creative professionals
• Translate complex topics into accessible, innovative and impactful learning content that supports a variety of professional development pathways and diverse audiences
• Use authoring tools (such as Articulate, Vyond, Canva, Thinkific etc.) to create interactive and visually engaging learning experiences, incorporating video, audio, and creative media
• Champion inclusion by ensuring all content reflects Artswork’s commitment to and standards of access, diversity, equality, inclusion and cultural relevance
• Upload, organise, and update course content on our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring resources are accessible, easy to navigate and up to date

 Collaboration & Team working 

• Work in collaboration with the Learning Development Manager, Professional Development team, subject matter experts, and clients to shape meaningful learning experiences

Qualifications

Experience of working with children, young people (18-25) and their families, identified as vulnerable or having complex needs, preferably in a community setting.
Experience of delivering impactful one to one interventions

Context of the role.

Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support working on the refugee resettlement scheme.

Refugee resettlement takes place across Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Over the past 7 years, Upbeat Communities has welcomed and played a key part in the resettlement of Syrian refugees in partnership with local authorities in both counties. This role has included supporting families to apply for universal credit and set up bank accounts, registering with GPs and local schools in addition to integrating into their local community. Since the summer of 2021, we have taken on responsibility for the resettlement of Afghan families in both regions.

The Opportunity
 
We are seeking a commercially minded HR Business Partner to join our People Team and play a key role in supporting the charity’s strategic goals. This role offers the opportunity to influence culture, drive HR initiatives, and embed people-focused practices that help our employees thrive.
 
You will partner with senior leaders across the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor and championing best practice in all aspects of people management, development, and engagement. This is a true generalist role with both strategic input and hands-on delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Work in close partnership with the Leadership Team to understand organisational challenges and deliver effective people strategies.
• Provide pragmatic and commercial HR advice across all disciplines, including reward, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, and organisational change.
• Support training and development needs using tools such as training needs analyses (TNA), psychometrics, and other assessment methods.
• Contribute to key HR initiatives that promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and a positive working culture.

In this role, you’ll be part of the small network engagement team, working alongside the volunteering and participation team, in the Communities and Participation directorate.

You’ll assist with supporting, championing and enabling effective collaboration with the network of county-based local CPRE charities across England.

This role has a communications focus and involves editing a weekly email newsletter and an intranet. You’ll be the first point of contact for local CPRE staff and volunteers with queries about the work of their local charities. You’ll organise and support online meetings and events and be involved with measuring and reporting the effectiveness of our work.

The Communities and Participation team is mainly home-based, so applications are encouraged from remote workers with the expectation of travel to meetings and events approximately twice a month, for which expenses are covered.

Full training will be given in all aspects of this role, along with ongoing support and opportunities for development.
