St Andrew’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting conditions, which require complex symptom management, and/or end-of-life care. It is Lanarkshire's specialist hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families and carers. The service is provided completely free of charge for the adult population of North and South Lanarkshire and is open to all without distinction of race, gender or creed.

What is the role?
Would you like to make a difference for patients with life limiting illnesses and their families? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enterprising and enthusiastic person to join our Community & Events Fundraising Team. Are you someone who has a track-record of generating income, an engaging personality with a passion for fundraising? If so, we would love to hear from you!
The post holder will have responsibility for arranging and maximising income from fundraising events to meet budget requirements, community fundraising/third party activities, challenge events, as well as initiating and growing new supporter relationships.
The role will also involve meeting supporters, attending cheque presentations and delivering talks to various community groups and organisations, to further promote the work of the Hospice and seek to engage and inspire new donors.
What we expect of you?
· Experience in fundraising, events or sales
· Experience in co-ordinating events, meeting and exceeding income targets (four figures and above)
· Relish the challenge of maximising income to provide care for people in the communities we serve
· It is important that you have well developed customer services skills
· The ability to creatively recruit supporters

As Finance Director, you will work closely and collaboratively with Amit Sharma (Artistic Director/ CEO) and Iain Goosey (Executive Director), supporting them as they lead Kiln Theatre through a period of transition and growth. As a key member of the Senior Team, the Finance Director will be responsible for Kiln Theatre's financial health and for ensuring that effective controls are in place and that all regulatory requirements are met.
You will lead and manage the Finance department, ensuring that the finance operation at Kiln operates to the highest standards and is effectively embedded within the organisation.
The Finance Director will play a major role in contributing to Kiln Theatre's business planning and strategic development, including identifying opportunities for efficiencies, supporting the resilience of the organisation for the future, ensuring compliance with best practice at all times and helping the company to fulfil its creative and financial ambitions.
The role will work with members of the Board, particularly the Finance & Risk Committee, as well as the external auditors. The Finance Director also oversees the finances for Kiln Theatre Ltd and its two subsidiaries - Tricycle Screen Ltd and Kiln London Productions Limited.

Commercial Financial Accountant
Are you an experienced financial professional? Pilgrims' Friend Society is expanding, and we need a Commercial Financial Accountant to work across the organisation with a Commercial mindset while aiming to achieve charitable impact. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Commercial Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing and completing relevant projects.
Our focus is providing a loving and caring environment for our “family members” (our residents) and maintaining the Christian ethos that is important to many of them.
The group operates on 20 sites with over 700 staff and an annual income of c.£20m.
Responsibilities:
- Growth and renewal plans
- Organisation Governance which will involve Company and Charity governance including projects that simplify the group structure
- Pilgrims' Friend Society Loans – covenant reporting and management
- System improvement projects
- Assist Director of Finance with banking relationships, including defining and implementing investment and reserves policies
- Responsibility for internal audit and controls within the Finance team
- Maintain a good working relationship with relevant Care Home and Housing Scheme Managers.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably required to ensure the smooth operation of the Society’s business.

About you:
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a finance team;
- Finance qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA, etc)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Charity accounting and governance knowledge (Charity SORP, etc) (beneficial but not essential)
- Experience with Sage 200 (desirable but not essential);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a cohesive team.
- Ability to work flexibly and to take initiative

Hours:
Full time contract, working 35 hours a week Monday to Friday.
