About the Role

As Educational Partnerships Manager, you’ll work across Dorset and South Coast of Hampshire, building partnerships with schools, colleges, youth organisations and community groups—particularly in areas where opportunities are hardest to come by.

You’ll be right in the mix: planning events, delivering programmes, supporting volunteers and connecting with school staff to make sure young people have access to our inspiring enterprise and financial education experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and grow relationships with schools, colleges, youth clubs and local communities
• Focus on expanding our reach in areas of multiple deprivation and underrepresentation
• Deliver and support the rollout of YE programmes in schools and other settings
• Recruit, train and support volunteers—making sure they feel valued and inspired
• Work with your regional team to meet shared goals and celebrate local impact
• Help secure local funding by supporting fundraising efforts and managing project deliverables
• Support the planning of events, trade fairs and celebrations for young people
• Keep accurate records, track impact, and make sure safeguarding is front and centre

A few practical things:

• This is a hands-on role—you’ll sometimes be lifting resources, setting up venues and travelling regularly (a car and full driving licence are essential)
• You’ll need to be happy occasionally working evenings or weekends during peak delivery times

Trusts and Grants Fundraising - Tasks and Responsibilities 

• Research and identify new trust and foundation prospects.
• Draft and submit high-quality funding applications and reports.
• Maintain a calendar of deadlines and stewardship activities.
• Record and track pledges, donations, and grant income.
• Ensure that all reporting is completed in a timely and professional manner.
• Work closely with the Education and Operations teams to ensure they have all the information they need to deliver work related to restricted funding.

Fundraising Administration

• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and ensure data integrity.
• Reconcile income records with the finance team.
• Process donations and Gift Aid claims.
• Support income tracking and reporting.

Supporter Care

• Ensure timely and appropriate donor thanking.
• Respond to supporter queries via email and phone when needed.
• Assist with donor communications and stewardship planning.
• Working with the Comms and Operations Teams to assist with fundraising marketing, website and social media content.
• Working to consolidate and grow our group of recurring donors.
• Support with processing payments and donations online, in-person and over the phone, depositing cheques and cash donations.
• Help manage the stewardship calendar for major donors throughout the year.

Events Support

• Help coordinate logistics and communications for fundraising events.
• Track income and pledges from events like the Annual Lunch.
• Support with ticketing, invoicing, and donor follow-up.

Collaboration and Compliance

• Work closely with colleagues across fundraising, finance, comms, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

This is an important strategic role within our organisation. You will lead the Welcome to All partnership of 10 organisations which supports displaced people in Somerset. You will also provide line management for the managers of the CCS Welcome Hub provision.

You will work with the Head of Programmes, our Commissioners, community leaders, delivery partner organisations and wider stakeholders to ensure that the Welcome to All programme delivers our strategic goals and that we are collaborating effectively with statutory and community based partners, including the wider VCFSE sector.

You will be a key member of the Programmes Team, and will work with our Senior Programmes Manager, Village Agent Programme Manager and Somerset Diverse Communities Programme Manager to ensure that all of our community development work is well integrated; and we are making the most of opportunities, internal and external that will help to improve quality of life for individuals and communities in Somerset.

This is a key strategic role in our organisation. You will lead and manage the Somerset Diverse Communities (SDC) team. Together with your team, you will listen to community needs, promote suitable responses and convene individuals and organisations to seek community-based solutions, supporting communities to thrive together.

As part of this role you will also be responsible for managing a varied programme of ESOL courses, groups and support in schools. In addition, you will manage the delivery of our support for Open Mental Health Alliance partners to provide programmes that integrate equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging into everything they do.

Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.

OCC is the world’s largest shoebox appeal where Samaritan’s Purse, together with local churches here and overseas, distributes from the UK 1/4 million gift-filled shoeboxes annually to children in need overseas and in so doing demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the 32 London boroughs.

You will be passionate about developing others towards highly effective ministry, teamwork and increased personal competency.

You will also directly engage churches to participate in OCC in areas not yet covered by Connect volunteers. A special opportunity will be engaging London churches that have partnered with our sister ministry, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the June 2025 God Loves You Tour London.

You will be confident to take initiative with people and projects and also have good administrative and organisational skills. You will also enjoy envisioning the numerous volunteers who participate in the OCC shoebox appeal each year.

You will enthusiastically support the Christian purposes of OCC and Samaritan’s Purse and be committed to the value of well-equipped volunteers and to developing them further. Candidates will have proven people and project management and administrative experience in the workplace and be educated to A levels or ideally Degree level.

This role is based in region, and so prospective candidates should currently live in the region and provide their own transport for which defined expenses will be paid.

We are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to work in a dedicated Programmes and Grants directorate, working at the heart of Youth Futures Foundation.

Key responsibilities:

• You will be central to our work in the delivery of innovative and impactful grant-making.
• You will lead on the delivery of key, new and existing funding programmes, relationships and portfolios, sourcing and making recommendations on complex and strategically important requests for funding and building effective relationships with our grant holders.
• You will also work closely across our Impact and Evidence, Employer Engagement and Public Policy & Communications teams to ensure successful applicants are supported to deliver high quality, impactful projects that will build the evidence base of “What Works” to support the most disadvantaged young people into good jobs.
• The Senior Relationship Manager will also work with the Head of Programme & Grants to support the line management and development of Relationship Managers and Senior Grants Officers as required.

This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract and can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

An exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of a growing adult literacy charity as it expands across Central England

One in 20 adults in the UK has never learnt to read at all. This can have a serious impact on their confidence and wellbeing, limiting access to training, employment, and everyday opportunities that many take for granted. Being unable to read as an adult can be isolating and dangerous, reinforces social inequality, restricts economic growth, and worsens intergenerational disadvantage - but it is never too late to learn.

Read Easy helps adults transform their lives by learning to read. It does this by supporting its growing network of locally run, volunteer-led affiliated groups that offer free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching—both in person and online to adults - aged from 18-88. 

With its free, flexible, confidential approach, Read Easy encourages people who are too embarrassed to join a class to come forward for one-to-one support. Each new reader is provided with their own personal Reading Coach, so that they can learn in private and at their own pace. Learning to read transforms their lives in many other ways as well, including enabling them to support their children’s and grandchildren’s reading, and so transfers the benefits to the next generation.

There are currently 80 affiliated Read Easy groups across England, together involving more than a thousand volunteers. Read Easy UK is the registered charity and umbrella organisation which supports this network of affiliated volunteer groups and provides the structure, training and support to enable volunteers to establish groups in new areas.

As our Central Regional Adviser, your role would be to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all volunteer groups consistently deliver high-quality services aligned with Read Easy UK’s strategy.

You will support local volunteer leaders to strengthen group performance, and foster collaboration across affiliated groups, so that that they deliver coaching to Readers with consistent quality, and a positive and worthwhile experience is had by all.

You will also find volunteers to ‘pioneer’ three new groups in the counties where there is no Read Easy presence in the East and West Midlands and East of England and provide them and our 29 existing groups and pioneers in the region, with high-quality support. Your quality support will ensure that they provide the same for their volunteers and new Readers. From meeting (mostly online) with Team Leaders to provide one to one support, and hosting online and annual in-person volunteer forums, to delivering presentations and occaisonal training for small groups of volunteers, this is a dynamic and rewarding role.

This is a home-based post requiring flexibility, some early evening working and occaisional travel to visit groups. The role is available on either a full or part time basis (min 32 hours p/w, 85% of 37.5 hours p/w FTE).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Live within one of the following areas: West Midlands (Defined as the 7 metropolitan boroughs of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton), Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire or Rutland;
• have been employed to work with volunteers for at least two years;
• have strong people management and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; and the confidence to run meetings and deliver presentations.

We also provide personal and professional development opportunities for seafarers with the Marine Society. Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.

We are currently looking for a Boat Station Manager to join our team.

About the role

The manager is instrumental in facilitating and delivering life changing, positive on the water experiences for young people. As an expert practitioner, they will provide leadership, development and mentoring to their team of instructors. The post will require strong organisational skills.

The Manager is an employee of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets based at our Crosby Boat Station. The post holder is required to hold and maintain the following qualifications as a condition of employment: RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor and RYA Powerboat Instructor.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage a water-sports training facility in the Liverpool area for all Sea Cadet Units and other affiliates to the Boat Station.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the Boat Station.
• Ensure that all visiting groups and their staff are fully briefed on the Boat Station’s policies and procedures and that there is adequate supervision of Cadets and young people at the facility, so as to discharge their duty of care for them.
• Oversee the Chief Instructor and all other sessional Instructors using the Boat Station.
• Manage the Boat Station’s accounts in liaison with the Regional Finance Manager including day to day fees.
• Ensure that best practise in accordance with the NGB guidelines and requirements following our Inshore Boating Operating Standard.

The Resident Engagement Manager will be the organisational lead in a new and exciting lottery funded project leading a small team and overseeing the design and delivery of the LEAP service at Homeless Oxfordshire and with wider partners.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership across the organisation on resident engagement, learning and skills, co-production and activities.
• To promote the active involvement of the resident’s experience and voice in the delivery, development and monitoring of LEAP service.

About LEAP

LEAP is built on the foundation of strong, supportive relationships that empower residents to move towards stable, independent living. Through one-to-one key worker support, trauma-informed care, and community engagement, residents rebuild trust, form friendships, and gain confidence. Activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing foster connection and personal growth, while group involvement helps residents feel part of a wider community. LEAP also supports residents to take steps into peer mentoring, volunteering, and training, helping them build positive networks beyond their immediate circle and develop the skills and confidence to thrive independently.

At LEAP, community involvement is at the heart of their work. Empowering residents through co-production is a key organisational goal. LEAP offer a range of inclusive engagement methods—from informal gatherings like group breakfasts and creative activities, to structured sessions such as support needs mapping and Residents’ Forums. These forums provide regular opportunities for feedback and co-design, with input reaching senior management and trustees. They are enhancing resident engagement by developing a mutual support network for staff with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction. This group will shape services and policies, and guide resident outreach. LEAP also collaborates with local partners like RAW, a social enterprise offering training and employment to those with lived experience, and strengthens ties with adult education providers such as Abingdon and Witney College. We also create pathways to volunteer with cultural institutions like the University of Oxford Museums.

LEAP empowers people with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move towards independent living and employment. Over three years, the project aims to support 750 individuals. Through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities, residents will experience positive outcomes such as increased confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of inclusion. They will build supportive networks, learn key life skills and access training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Many will gain qualifications and secure long-term accommodation. The project strengthens peer support and enables residents to shape services through formalised Residents’ Forums, ensuring their voices influence senior decision-making. For Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAP enhances our capacity to deliver peer-led support, builds staff knowledge, and informs service improvement. Wider community benefits include reduced stigma around homelessness, stronger partnerships with employers and organisations, and improved understanding of the issues faced by our residents—ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Regional Youth and Community Director
OASIS UK – Youth and Community (OCP)

Permanent, full-time post, 40 hours per week, inclusive of breaks 

Salary: £51,959 per annum (£54,669 p.a. London Weighting for London based staff)

At an exciting and key stage in our journey we have the opportunity for Youth and Community Directors to join our team supporting Oasis’ youth and community work in neighbourhoods in the following regions;

- London and South East (North, Central and South London and Kent - five local Oasis charities)

- North West (Greater Manchester – two local charities, and two regionwide youth violence contracts)

- North East (NE Lincs, Humber, Bradford and Sheffield – four local charities)

With accountability to the Oasis CEO for Youth and Community the role of the regional Youth and Community Director will have three main functions:

1 Strategic management oversight of local Youth and Community teams

2 Regional development, working alongside other functions within the Oasis family

3 Being part of the national Youth and Community leadership team

The Youth and Community Director will have strategic management oversight of local Youth and Community teams in the region, providing accountability and support to the local leaders and charity boards. This responsibility area falls into two categories; those the Director is directly responsible for, and those they are responsible for ensuring are carried out by those within their region.

We are looking for a strategic, self-motivated and entrepreneurial Deputy Director to support the long-term success and sustainability of Nottingham Contemporary. The Deputy Director works closely with the Director, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board to deliver the strategic direction, business planning and lead the operational management of the organisation.

The Deputy Director is responsible for the effective internal operation of the organisation, embracing its administrative, facilities, financial, personnel, IT and legal functions as well as its income generation growth strategy. The post holder has executive responsibility for the development and delivery of all aspects of the Business Plan and Arts Council England’s National Portfolio funding agreement, monitoring all Key Performance Indicators. The Deputy Director works with the Director and SLT to shape a sustainable future for the Gallery, maximise income generation and reduce environmental impact.

The role

Your main accountabilities will include:

• Develop operational policies, procedures and documentation, including risk management, ensuring they are up to date and reflect the organisation’s values and align with the Arts Council’s Investment Principles.
• Lead the organisation’s business plan alongside the Director and with support from the SLT, ensuring this is in line with the organisation’s vision, offer, purpose and values.
• Manage the preparation and submission of annual applications to key public sector funders, including Arts Council England, Nottingham City Council and HE partners by providing relevant departmental data and information.
• Lead responsibility for all aspects of financial management and administration of the organisation, including related regulatory reporting.
• In liaison with the Director and SLT, set and manage annual and multi-year budgets and resources, providing suitable reporting on a regular basis to the Director, budget holders and Trustees.
• Ensure that legal responsibilities of Nottingham Contemporary are met including charity, company and health and safety, liaising with solicitors as required.
• Ensure the efficient maintenance and excellent presentation of the building.
• Spearhead income generation strategies in the business plan with support from the Director and Senior Development Manager to diversify and increase the gallery’s revenue streams.
• Oversee the promotion and communication of Nottingham Contemporary’s artistic and educational programmes and commercial activities across all platforms, including print, press, digital and social media.
• Develop and manage key local and regional partnerships, and working relationships with regional and national tourism organisations.
• Be an outstanding member of the SLT, upholding our values and contributing to Nottingham Contemporary being a high-performing organisation and an excellent and inclusive employer.

This role would suit someone experienced in business planning and strategy at a senior level, with strong financial understanding and experience. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with excellent organisational skills and commercial acumen. Self-motivated and proactive, you’ll be able to work calmly under pressure to inspire and support colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

You’ll have a strong record of using your entrepreneurial business skills in the non-profit sector, and will be able to develop and manage partnerships and build the organisation’s profile. You’ll understand our organisational mission and vision, and be aligned with our values: brave, open, hopeful and resourceful.

About the role

• This is a newly created role where you will have responsibility for driving an integrated approach to our audience influencing to deliver our strategic objectives, through collective oversight across our public affairs, stakeholder relations, communications and marketing work.
• The post holder will report to the Director of Policy and External Affairs and work closely with the CEO, wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Deputy Director of Strategic Development to enable purposeful reputational growth, enhanced brand recognition and the delivery of external impact.

This role can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

The Role

To provide efficient, focused and professional customer service and administration support for FareShare Midlands.  In addition, this role will be a key member of the regional centre team working closely with the Regional Operations Manager, other departments such as operations, development, fundraising and marketing in order to raise the charity’s profile and attract support. You will work towards, and achieve, best-in-class warehouse & food co-ordination as part of the warehouse and operations team in Fareshare Midlands. As a team you will ensure that food is allocated in a safe, timely and accurate way to optimise the service provided from your depot to our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Contacting and liaising with members as appropriate in relation to food orders and processing using online stock system
• Manage the allocations process to ensure all allocations are completed accurately and timely … working with the Regional Ops manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure sufficient trained resource is available to complete allocation
• Adjusting existing membership - weights / frequency / day changes / fulfilments. To do this you will:

1. Understand how memberships and charging structures work
2. Monitor inbox for membership change emails
3. Liaise with member and discuss costs incurred/saved
4. Liaise with Regional Operations Manager on scheduling/capacity.
5. Update pipeline, calendar & schedule with member changes when a new member is scheduled
6. Update Gladys with information and fees
7. Confirm with member via email about any changes made

• Manage delivery schedules to ensure our members receive the food they need when they need it, aligning this with the resources available in the operations team
• Dealing with telephone and email enquiries effectively and with high standards of customer service
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with members, team-mates and volunteers in particular with the Warehouse Manager who will be a direct lead for day-to-day support and guidance
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the nature of the post as stipulated by your line manager.
• To work in accordance with our Customer Services Charter and to communicate this to relevant parties
• Help deliver excellent customer service to our groups & Holiday programmes within the Midlands, ensuring that we work closely with funders and groups to deliver good quality food to all our projects.

• Good level of Maths and competence in IT, including Word, Excel & Outlook.

• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively, with flexible working including weekends when required
