About the role

We’re seeking a senior media and PR officer – policy, campaigns and public health to join our talented and ambitious media and PR team for six months. Supporting the delivery of annual media plans for these areas of work, you’ll leverage our position as leading experts on breast cancer to secure media profile that increases our influence, engagement and support among target audiences, championing the needs of people affected by breast cancer, engaging key policy decision-makers and the NHS through our change-making campaigns and calls to action, and communicating our vital breast health awareness and health information and messaging to key stakeholders and the public to help make change happen now.

This role is a fixed term contract until end of February 2027.
 
About you 

You’ll be great at building trusted and influential relationships across internal and external contacts up to a senior level including colleagues, journalists, contacts at stakeholder organisations (such as NHS and NICE), people affected by breast cancer who support our work, and celebrities and influencers who support Breast Cancer Now. 

With an understanding and passion for policy, campaigns, and public health you’ll draw on your experience of working across health communications and/or media/PR environments to digest and distil complex and sensitive information into compelling media copy, with an eye for spotting proactive and reactive media opportunities to secure impactful profile.

Used to working in a fast-moving environment, you’ll work at pace without compromising quality of work and working closely with the senior media and PR manager – policy, campaigns and public health to effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines to amplify the charity’s share of voice as a determined leader, driving progress and changing the future for anyone affected by breast cancer.

Effective at working independently, you’ll also be a team player who works closely with and contributes to the wider success of the media and PR team.

Job Purpose 

The weekend Hospital to Home Project Officer is responsible for responding to referrals received over the weekend from both Royal London Hospital & Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. You will work with the manager on Friday to deliver services and plan visits on the weekend for you to attend.   
  

The service supports people returning after a stay in hospital, helping them to settle back at home, regain confidence and support with some practical tasks, e.g. shopping/cleaning. You will manage referrals, carry out assessments, and in liaison with the manager, allocate service users to Hospital to Home Outreach Worker caseloads. You will provide direct frontline support and co-ordinate visits to the service users’ home in preparation for their return home. You will work collaboratively to lead and manage the weekend service to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users. The service is time limited, up to 4 or 6 weeks, to adjust, build confidence, and settle back in their homes.    

You will also be required to undertake community-based outreach as part of service delivery, including visiting service users in their homes both pre-and post-discharge. This includes conducting access visits, welfare checks, and providing practical support such as shopping assistance to ensure a safe and sustainable transition from hospital to home. Over the weekend you be based in the hospital, with lone working visits to client’s properties for support.  

Key Tasks 

• Act as the first point of contact for all referrals over the weekend across both hospitals.  

• Meet with patients in the community and/or hospital and carrying out assessments and risk assessments.   

• Enter referrals on to AUKEL’s case management system Salesforce in accordance with GDPR guidelines.  

• Allocate referrals to Hospital to Home Outreach Workers using tech available Field Service App, training will be available.  

• Collect feedback from service users and upload to case management system.  

• Deputise for the manager at discharge planning and other meetings as required.  

• Monitor the case loads of each of the Hospital to Home Outreach Worker (HHOW) to ensure they are evenly and fairly balanced.  

• Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.  

• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to prevent unnecessary readmission to hospital.  

• Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.  

• Deliver the front-line support services over the weekend such as:   

• Undertake home visits to service users pre- and post- discharge to support safe and timely hospital discharge.  

• Provide welfare checks to monitor service users’ wellbeing during post-discharge period.  

• Deliver practical, person-centred support during visits, including shopping assistance and other essential tasks to aid independent living.  

• Identify and respond to risks within the home environment, escalating concerns where appropriate  

• Provide occasional cover for the A/L of other Project Officers   

• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.  

• Supervise, support and develop HHOWs and volunteers in your service.  

• Liaise with the handyperson service about referrals and jobs for service users.  

• Ensure HHOW are resourced to sign post service users to other services when the home and settle service intervention ends. 

Administration 

• Keep AUKEL’s case management system up to date, input all data, and ensure all referrals, interventions, time spent with service users are recorded.  

• Allocate referrals to HHOW using tech available Salesforce ‘Field Service’ App.  

• Ensure data collected meets the requirements of the service’s contract monitoring and key performance indicators.  

• Ensure service user feedback questionnaires are sent at the end of each intervention and record returns.  

• Ensure admin tasks relating to service users, HHOW or general admin is carried out in a timely and efficient manner. 

Quality  

• Be familiar with and to implement AUKEL policies and procedures in line with our Values.  

• Ensure the service is delivered in accordance line with Care Quality Commission principals.  

• Ensure integration with other AUKEL projects, and service users are referred and/or sign-posted to appropriate support services available to them.    

• Respond to safeguarding or other concerns and make appropriate reports and management action 

Liaison  

• Represent AUKEL and participate in appropriate external meetings and events to remain aware of local, regional and national issues affecting quality and compliance affecting care and home support services.  

• Work in collaboration with hospital colleagues including discharge teams, A&E, ward staff, community teams to support the successful discharge of people and reduce readmission.  

• Liaise with other AUKEL home and settle services across London and work collaboratively to maintain effective services, including sharing staff where appropriate.  

• Work closely with the AUKEL handyperson service to meet contractual obligations where a handyperson service is provided as part of the service.  

• Liaise with contractors to arrange deliveries and works to service user’s homes.  

 General 

• Meet regularly with your line manager for support, supervision, and appraisal.  

• Attend team and staff meetings, and other meetings as required.  

• Undertake any other duties within the competence of the post holder as may be required from time to time for the continued smooth running of AUKEL.  

• Complete any training which is required to fulfil the role.

Fearless Youth Coordinator - Cardiff

As a Fearless Youth Coordinator, you will help young people to understand different crime topics and break down the barriers to reporting crime. This will be done through the delivery of workshops in schools and other youth settings. The Fearless Youth Coordinator will also build partnerships locally with other organisations, to provide a coordinated response to youth crime and exploitation across Cardiff.

The Role

This is a new opportunity to develop the role of Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to lead the identification, development and submission of new funding proposals, and to lead on relationship management with new and potential investors.   You will work closely with the technical and operation teams.

 

About You

Bringing your experience of funding development to ENN, you will be ready to jump in and progress work quickly to capitalise on critical time sensitive funding opportunities. You will be comfortable assessing diverse funding opportunities, building and maintaining partner relationships, coordinating the development of grant applications and proposals in line with organisational priorities, ensuring they are tailored to donor and investor motivations and interests.

 

Terms and Conditions

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead on identifying and researching new potential investors in the private and corporate sectors to support a broader and more diverse funding base.

2. Work with the Technical team on finding and engaging with new opportunities and starting up discussion with potential new investors

3. Support relationship management with investors and potential investors, in coordination with relevant project leads.

4. Coordinate the development and submission of new funding proposals that fit with ENN’s strategic direction, working with technical and operations staff to prepare all required proposal documentation in line with funding guidelines and timelines.

Person Specification

· Experience in working with a diverse range of donors or investors to develop funding opportunities.

· Experience developing compelling funding proposals that respond to the needs of potential investors and are in line with organisational strategy, values and expertise.

· Success in securing funding from a range of funders or investors – such as public, private, corporate, institutional, multinational banks, and experience of direct fundraising with major donors (trusts and foundations/high net worth individuals, corporates).

· Ability to represent ENN externally, broker connections and communicate with diverse range of investors.

· Ability to broker and coordinate inputs from team members across projects and a range of specialities (technical, operations, finance)

· Ability to understand donor proposal requirements/application guidance.

· Ability to manage a diverse and busy workload, prioritising effectively, and able to work both independently and as a member of the wider team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working well with other team members and stakeholders (both internal and external).

About the role:

As the Development and Fundraising Co-ordinator, you will support statutory and non-statutory funding across Advance’s services, with oversight by the Development Manager and support from the Bid Officer. You will also provide assistance to the Head of Fundraising.

The role will support a high standard of bids are created, showing strong attention to detail, an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines. You will track prospective funding opportunities, submit successful proposals, maintain consistent, regular communication with external stakeholders, and provide administrative support to the department. Key to the success of the post will be the ability to research appropriate funding streams, contribute to bid application content, and keep clear, accurate records.

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Conduct prospect research to identify suitable statutory and grant funding opportunities related to Domestic Abuse, Violence Against Women and Girls, Young Women and Girls and Criminal Justice by keeping abreast of research, procurement portals, and sector developments

• Support the execution and delivery of proposals, including completing technical documents, due diligence, and social value matrices, ensuring that proposals meet agreed specifications and deadlines, as well as Advance’s quality standards

• Assist the respective managers to review bid application processes, identify gaps, and increase efficiencies

• Support colleagues to generate standardised, high quality funder reports and communications to funders

• Lead on communication with Advance’s partners and internal teams to keep abreast of developments throughout the bid process

• Oversee due diligence of funders and delivery partners

• Support the Fundraising and Development team to maintain regular communication with existing and potential funders

• Maintain Advance’s donor database

• Keep up-to-date, accurate records on the progress of funding prospects and proposals

• Take responsibility for reviewing and keep clear, accurate records of agreement documents and contracts, following the team’s processes for filing and version control

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative Communications and Brand Manager (Partnerships) to join a small, friendly and ambitious team in a varied role with genuine opportunity for development and impact. We are looking for a motivated and organised Project Officer to join our International Programmes Team on a fixed-term basis for one year, covering a period of maternity leave.

Overview

The Project Officer will be part of a regional team that works with new and existing partners to design, deliver and learn from projects in line with the organisation’s mission. Main Duties & Responsibilities

• To manage workflow and communications across the regional ECF teams.
• To coordinate and administer our ECF programme across regions.
• To be a key point of contact for our programme partners and participants to support them with responses around programme logistics.
• To draft and post ECF programme updates on the Learning Management System (LMS).
• To liaise with partners about visits, quality assurance and feedback.
• To gather, collate and analyse feedback from programme sessions to inform design and delivery in the future through effective communication with faculty team.
• To help prepare key events for the ECF programme, such as National Webinars, including the drafting of guidance, communications and registration.
• To support during key events across the faculty including online webinars and partner briefings.
• To support the Head of ECF and Regional Heads of Programme with other administrative efforts around the ECF programme. This might include helping to organise key meetings with our Associate Colleges, administrative tasks related to the ECF or hands-on support with marketing, recruitment and quality assurance.
• To coordinate team meetings and activities throughout the year.
• To sit on the viva assessment panels for a maximum of three days per year to support the process.
• To provide support at the annual graduation event which is on a Saturday and notice will be provided.

Working at the National Institute of Teaching

• Contract: Full Time; Temporary to 31 August 2027.
• Salary: £31,537 per annum plus benefits (plus London weighting if applicable).
• This role is advertised to cover an internal secondment. It is offered on a temporary position, with the potential to become permanent subject to future organisational needs.
• The role is hybrid with the need to be on site at least once a fortnight.
• This post involves occasional travel and overnight stays, which will be paid/reimbursed by the NIoT.
