About the role

The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting and varied opportunity to work with Emmaus communities across the South of the UK, helping to raise their profile and engage supporters.

You will work closely with up to four Emmaus communities to identify their communications needs and deliver a mix of activity to help them achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and build on each other’s experience to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home or from within an Emmaus community.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be key to this role. Regular travel to your allocated communities is essential, typically at least once a week. This role will initially support Emmaus Norfolk &Waveney, Emmaus Colchester and Emmaus Suffolk, so we are looking for a candidate based near Norwich, Colchester, Suffolk, Ipswich, or within approximately two to two-and-a-half hours’ travel by car or train from these locations. You will also attend quarterly team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, although these may occasionally take place elsewhere in the UK and may require an overnight stay.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a strong communications skillset and at least two years’ experience in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. While not essential, knowledge of homelessness and the charity sector would be an advantage.

Creativity and passion are essential. You will have a broad range of communications skills, enjoy seeing your ideas come to life and be keen to continue developing your experience within a national homelessness charity.

Position: Area Fundraising Manager

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Job Purpose

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser.  This role won’t just be supporting fundraising internally but will be leading a fundraising change across the borough. As our Area Fundraising Manager, you will lead a new strategy to transform how our communities give, collaborate and create impact.  You’ll organise large‑scale fundraising initiatives that bring the whole town together from landmark public events to innovative collective campaigns to smaller, targeted initiatives.  As our role as an infrastructure charity, we have a vision to help generate more sustainable income for a wide range of VCSE organisations in Barnsley whilst bringing people together to proudly support the brilliant charities, social enterprises and groups who hold up our communities every day.

As Operations Manager, you'll be the backbone supporting our work. You have experience in an operational, administrative, or management role coordinating processes, policies, and systems. You've supported multiple stakeholders — staff, volunteers, or committees and have familiarity with safeguarding, health and safety, or compliance. You're organised, an excellent communicator, and can work with sensitivity within a faith-based organisation. You hold a full driving licence with access to a reliable vehicle and are willing to travel. Desirably, you have a relevant qualification, experience with financial administration or property management, and understanding of Methodist Church structures.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Regional Gifts in Wills Fundraising Officer to be one of the faces of legacy fundraising, and lead key areas of legacy activity, with a focus on inspiring individuals to remember the Woodland Trust in their will.

This role will work closely with the Regional Finance Manager and Project Manager, providing high-level financial support to strengthen project finance capacity and ensure effective financial oversight across programme delivery.

You will be organised, target driven and comfortable managing budgets, KPIs, pipelines and competing priorities. You will also understand the importance of ethical fundraising, good stewardship and relevant charity fundraising practice.

Experience of working with senior or high profile volunteers, such as patrons or trustees, would be valuable.
