As our Senior Regional Partnerships Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing, leading, and managing British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) UK-wide Regional Partnerships Team to ensure that targets for new business acquisition and account management are achieved.

The role includes managing a team of Partnership Managers to support, empower and enable the Community Fundraising teams to maximise their success in winning, retaining, and maximising corporate partnerships across the UK.

In this role, you’ll be a key senior member of the Corporate Partnerships Team, playing an integral role in shaping the future of our partnerships.

Working arrangements
 
This is a home-based role with regular travel across the UK to meet with partners, prospects, line reports and regional Fundraising Managers. You will also need to travel to our London Office once a month. You’ll be reimbursed for all reasonable travel expenses.

On occasion, you may also be required to work flexibly to support evening and weekend activity. Where this is the case, you will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

About the role

The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting, varied position working with Emmaus communities located in the South East region of the UK to increase their profile and engage supporters.

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.

Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important.  The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

Headway is seeking a new Justice Programme Manager who will expand the current services to have a greater impact on police and probation services, improving knowledge and understanding and the support offenders with brain injuries receive.
We want someone who can both oversee the existing projects, such as our brain injury ID cards, whilst expanding the services in line with our new strategy, due to launch in the summer of 2024.

What will you do:

• Develop and implement a strategy for Headway’s work within the criminal justice system.
• Work with and develop key relationships across, police, probation services to improve knowledge and systems for offenders with brain injuries.
• Develop new justice related projects, including working with Headway’s fundraising team, to generate new income to expand the services.
• Work with the network of local Headway charities, to expand their work, within the justice system.
• Manage and deliver Headway’s justice related training initiatives.
• Oversee the successful delivery of Headway UK’s Brain Injury ID Card, including the line management of the project lead.

The Environment and Climate action team is responsible for delivering the Trust’s strategy and policy on all environment and climate related sustainability issues, including environmental compliance as a minimum and achieving biodiversity net gain.

Reporting to the Head of Environment and Climate action, the Environmental Management and Compliance manager role will be responsible for the Trust’s Environmental Management System and its associated policies, commitments, and standards, linked to the Trusts evolving sustainability and organisational strategies. The role will require establishing good relationships with other teams in the Trust to drive sound environmental practice from our operations and 3rd party activities.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for, and day-to-day management of the Trust’s environmental management system
• Deliver a programme of activities and updates to environmental standards, guidance and tools, ensuring that these are delivered on time and within budget. This forms part of a system refresh that will be delivered this financial year.
• Work with internal technical experts and the Trust’s legal team to ensure that the standards meet regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with Trust operational and delivery teams to ensure that standards are deliverable and align with existing and emerging business processes.
• Manage external technical input where requires (e.g. from consultants)
• Assist in the investigation of environmental incidents, near misses and ensure the production and dissemination of key learnings
• Preparation of board and Environmental Advisory Group (EAG) papers and acts as secretariat of EAG meetings
• Producing case studies and other examples of best practice for internal and external audiences
• Developing and delivering environmental training
• Displaying the Trust values and behaviours at all times.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• IEMA Practitioner qualification or equivalent
• Experience of administering environmental management systems, including a good understanding of ISO14000 family of environmental standards.

• Broad understanding of key environmental themes and associated legislation (Air Quality, Biodiversity, Water Quality, Waste, Pollution Prevention and Control, Invasive Species)
• Experience of investigating environmental incidents and near misses
• Working knowledge of GIS and using spatial data to support environmental strategies

• Developing reporting systems and managing environmental data to report progress

The role will be home-based, with the expectation to attend main regional hubs either at Milton Keynes, Birmingham, or Little Venice (Paddington), for collaborative working. This is a national role, requiring collaboration with teams in all six of the Trust’s regions. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be able travel to attend meetings or fieldwork throughout the regional waterway network.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint an experienced Fundraising Manager.
 
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to drive forward relationship building and income generation across all income streams, especially Individual Giving including appeals and major donors, Corporates, Trusts & Foundations and Legacies.

You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects. You will ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams, evaluating new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation. 

Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Engagement you will develop the Fundraising Strategy, and as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, will be the lead for driving forward sustainable fundraising activity in collaboration with colleagues.
 
A compelling and engaging communicator, you’ll be adept at managing a portfolio of donors at different stages – from prospecting and cultivation through to ask, stewardship and retention, working at all levels of the Trust to achieve ambitious fundraising targets. 

You must have substantial experience working in a senior fundraising position with a natural talent for building positive relationships both internally and externally, developing a fundraising team and growing a mixed fundraising portfolio. Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. You will research, identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities, areas of potential support and build a robust pipeline for restricted grants and corporate partners.

The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers.

This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

BACKGROUND

Habitat for Humanity Great Britain (Habitat GB) is part of the international Habitat for Humanity network.  We tackle housing poverty around the world by working in partnership with communities and families to achieve their dreams of a safe and decent place to live. We are embarking on an ambitious new direction at Habitat GB; leveraging our global housing expertise and the learning from our flagship national programme “Empty Spaces to Homes” to work collaboratively with Habitat colleagues across Europe in effecting change at a policy level.

“Empty Spaces to Homes” is a ground-breaking initiative focused on a circular buildings approach that already has a feasible proof of concept from piloting, with strong upscaling potential. The premise is simple; unlocking the potential of long term empty commercial spaces to create affordable housing for vulnerable people. As well as the social benefits of adding to affordable housing stock, the Empty Spaces to Homes approach of retrofitting existing structures – at a much lower carbon cost - offers a greener and more sustainable way to meet the housing gap, in comparison to the environmental impact of the new build construction industry. Breaking down long-standing barriers to resource-efficient renovation is essential if the UK is to play its part in meeting ambitious global decarbonisation targets.

Purpose of The role

The UK Housing Advocacy Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by leading advocacy efforts, shaping policies, and promoting sustainable housing solutions for affordable housing in Great Britain, particularly through our groundbreaking initiative "Empty Spaces to Homes."

As this is a new role, and is being recruited alongside the Head of Global Affairs and Advocacy, key responsibilities will include the establishment of a new function at Habitat GB.  It involves working closely with colleagues across the Habitat GB organisation and contributing to advocacy efforts across the Habitat network at global and regional levels through engagement, strategy and shared learning.  Key responsibilities also include developing communication and advocacy strategies targeting professionals and decision makers in social, environmental and housing sectors, as well as undertaking research and writing policy papers.

Main Responsibilities 

1) Research and Analysis:

• Commission and conduct in-depth research into current British housing landscapes and related legislation, assessing the effectiveness of mechanisms for converting unused premises into social housing and its environmental impact.
• Identify legal changes necessary to facilitate such activities and advocate for their implementation.

2) Lead Policy Advocacy Efforts:

• Utilise research findings to develop policy positions and identify priority issues, setting policy goals, and mapping out related advocacy activities.
• Embed critical concepts such as embodied carbon and whole life cycle into policy communications to amplify Habitat GB's messaging.

3) Partnerships and Networks:

• Join and represent Habitat GB at existing coalitions or form new coalitions if necessary with stakeholders in the social, environmental, and housing sectors to advocate for climate and equity-related incentives in national and local legislations, policies, and funding mechanisms.
• Build a network of relationships among key stakeholder groups and individual decision-makers to advance Habitat's policy goals.
• Identify strategic events and ensure speaking roles for Habitat GB.
• Represent Empty Spaces to Homes and Habitat for Humanity’s wider UK programmes for awareness raising, advocacy and other priorities at key meetings and events.

4) Direct Lobbying:

• Cultivate strategic relationships with key decision-makers to further Habitat's policy objectives.

5) Collaboration:

• Develop collaborative partnerships internally with Habitat entities across Europe, aligning with the broader strategic objectives of the Empty Spaces to Homes initiative.
• Support communication efforts to underpin advocacy efforts effectively.

6) Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Work with the Impact Team to provide regular updates on advocacy strategy activities and evaluate their effectiveness.

 

Person Specification

· Proven experience in professional advocacy to influence key policy positions and decisions, preferably in housing or a related field.

· Track record in delivering targeted advocacy strategies and implementing communication strategies to support advocacy efforts.

· Experience in engaging stakeholders and decision-makers through events, networks, and meetings.

· Experience in community mobilisation or engagement.

· Understanding of housing poverty policies and related social welfare issues in Great Britain, with the ability to advise on effective mechanisms for influence.

· Familiarity with Local Authority Governance and opportunities for policy influence at local and regional levels.

We are looking for two Area Relationship and Development Leads to join the Regional Relationships team. A remote role with a great opportunity to travel across the Midlands supporting the professional development of Further Educational providers and their staff through a effective relationship building.

Reporting to the relevant Regional Relationship Manager, these roles and will engage with Further Education providers across their region to identify the professional development needs of their teachers, support staff and leaders and work collaboratively with colleagues across the ETF to develop, plan and promote provision that meets sector needs and advances the work of the ETF. The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a charity that represents the voice of people living with dyslexia. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.

This is an exciting new role for the BDA, which has been created with the purpose of recruiting, managing and supporting regional volunteers, leading specific outreach to groups impacted and disadvantaged by dyslexia and resulting life circumstances. This is a varied hands-on role that would suit a skilled volunteering professional, who will use their knowledge of volunteering best practice and experience to help us create the future for outreach volunteering at the BDA.

Location

Home-based (UK), with travel to the BDA office in Bracknell (Berkshire) and around the UK as and when necessary. Additionally, travel to team days approximately 1-2 times a year is required.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):

 ·Recruiting, training and supporting regional volunteers and working with a national voluntary panel.

· Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of volunteers.

· Provide supervision and guidance to volunteers to ensure a positive volunteer experience.

· Coordinate volunteer training and onboarding processes.

· Maintain accurate volunteer records, including role, contract information and achievements.

· Promoting hubs, working closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues and creating referral routes to hub services.

· Creating resources and tools for hub volunteers to run services and for new hubs to establish in a consistent way.

· Evaluating services run by Local Hubs and contributing to knowledge and research on needs, provision and outcomes for people with dyslexia.

· Bringing together the network of Local Hubs, Local Dyslexia Associations and other member organisations - enabling them to share good practice, access training and peer support between volunteers. 

· Create and maintain an internal engagement plan that supports the BDA to increase impact and reach through our work with communities, including best practice guidance and tools.
