Osmani Trust is an award-winning youth and community charity providing a range of youth, violence reduction, employment, mentoring, and health & sports services to diverse communities in Tower Hamlets and surrounding Boroughs.

We are recruiting a Programme Manager to lead our grassroots consortium Better Bethnal Green (BBG), supporting young people facing multiple/complex disadvantages in the borough. Our partners and we are specialists in transforming the life trajectories of young people who have become marginalised by local poverty, unemployment and crime – particularly those from BAME communities who are disproportionately affected by these issues.

The candidate will need to have experience in managing multiple projects at a senior level, a proven track record, an excellent communicator and an understanding of London and in particular Tower Hamlets’ voluntary sector.

Situated in the Programmes, Policy & Impact Directorate, and reporting into the Head of UK Programmes, the Programme Lead, Carer Poverty Alleviation is a new role linked to the development of a new major programme operating in England, Scotland, and Wales. The Carer Poverty Alleviation Programme is a new Carers Trust programme under our strategic goal that no carer is pushed into poverty or is financially disadvantaged by their caring role.

The Programme Lead role is the fulcrum for this new partnership programme, will be comfortable to lead within and outside of the organisation and in developing a new team to drive the programme to success. The Regional Manager for Programme Delivery focuses on mentee demand, and managing the end-to-end coordination of multiple programmes cross London. The role is largely responsible for delivery of 1MM Mentoring Programmes. This includes partnership development, matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of mentoring relationships. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM Regional Manager for Programme Delivery’s main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

• Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

• Ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Youth Partners, and maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

• Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

We are looking for an experienced Youth Worker, to deliver training sessions and projects to young people through youth centres, community groups, schools, secure units and alternative provisions across South Wales and Bristol (including surrounding areas) and to ensure our programmes are fit for the future.

We are an award-winning national charity which trains over 9,000 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid through a team of 300 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. As the StreetDoctors Youth Worker in the Region, you will deliver high quality training, develop new partnerships and maintain positive relationships.

Role Purpose

The main purpose of the programmes team is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

· Local employer supporters, corporate partners supporters, other key local stakeholders and networks

Each Regional Manager is responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges, up to 100 students and 4-5 operational relationships with our corporate partners. Regional Managers will also be responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support ..

There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Centre Management and Student Support

· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers

· Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Programmes  

· Execute our strategy across the region

· Support schools and colleges in programme onboarding (students and mentors) and delivery of paid internships

· From time to time there may be a need to deliver sessions to skills and careers leads and to groups of young people within the school and college setting

· Recruit new schools and colleges to the network from the region in accordance with priority target areas. Manage their induction, training, activities prior to launch and implementation of the Career Ready programme

· Assist schools and colleges on our programmes to plan, manage and run events (i.e. icebreakers, launches, or student promotion sessions) and be prepared to present at such events.

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support

· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to ensure your Regional Action Board supports you (develop a great relationship with them, set and agree targets and meet with Chair regularly).

· Develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors (one for each student participating) is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

This Includes:

o Promoting Career Ready to potential supporters, engaging their commitment.

o Management of relationships with employer supporters through regular 'keeping in touch'.

o Directly pursuing a prioritised list of prospect funders in your region in line with our organisational strategy. This work will be supported by Partnership Managers and Head of Programmes  

o Using our SME Internship Investment Fund, seek small and medium sized businesses to provide a mentor and host an intern, seeking as much match funding as possible (e.g., we pay for 1 internship and you pay for 1; 50% of internship funded_

o Support engagement, experience and deliver on the programme commitments to corporate partners in your area.

o Support the Head of Programmes and Partnership Manager with programme reporting requirements specific to corporate partners, trusts and foundations

General

· Promote a commitment to high standards of service, and to equality of opportunity through leadership and good practice.

· With the Chief Executive, Director of Programmes and Operations, and Heads of Programmes , monitor the state of Career Ready in the region and seek ways to promote its achievements and improve the service given by the central staff team.

· Attend meetings and training days with the national team (approximately 2 times a year – these have tended to take place in London).

· Ensure that all regional management information is submitted to the national Salesforce database in a timely and accurate way.

· In collaboration with the Career Ready team, raise our and key stakeholders’ profile in the area, celebrating success via socials and the local media, business and education communities.

· Undertake public speaking as required to promote the work of Career Ready in the area.

Local Motion Project Manager

The role

The post holder or this role will be responsible for the work of LocalMotion in Oldham and ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate to achieve their shared vision.

The shared purpose of LocalMotion is to learn how all elements of our societal structure, including funders, sectors, and citizens, can work together equitably within a geographical place to positively disrupt the normal patterns and vicious cycles that are holding communities back, to reimagine a more just future for everyone. And for the collective learning to influence change at a local and national level.

The main things you will be asked to do in this role

· To provide effective and visible leadership of the LocalMotion work in Oldham, both within Oldham itself and within the wider LocalMotion movement and network.

· To ensure that Oldham’s LocalMotion work is delivered in line with LocalMotion aims and values and strives for excellence in coproduction and collaborative practice.

· To actively connect with people, communities organisations and institutions in order to maximise the reach and impact of this opportunity.

· Work with the local coordination group to establish the ways of working and processes required to share power and devolve resources and leadership to drive forward the work to achieve our local vision.

· To ensure the local coordination group in Oldham is well supported, is reflective of the communities of Oldham and has the practical support it needs to carry out its functions and responsibilities.

· To ensure that the LocalMotion resources are spent in accordance with the grant agreement, the budget and that all reporting, due diligence and learning requirements are met.

· To ensure the LocalMotion work in Oldham is well documented, and we are able to share learning and impact with key stakeholders.

The Role

This is a new role which will be focused on a specific project to initially set up and support our member led Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) task group and subgroups. • Excellent Project Management skills and experience

Our Housing Services teams work hard to ensure we can provide safe, comfortable and sustainable homes which give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

In the role of Regional Surveyor, you will play a role in helping us continue to deliver on our ambitions, through leading on responsive and planned maintenance service delivery for with supported housing and self-contained accommodation in a designated region. Additional key responsibilities will include:

• Responsibilty for inspections of responsive and complex repairs, damp and mould.
• Supporting the delivery of capital and revenue reinvestment programmes and major projects, including cyclical maintenance programmes, refurbishment of acquired assets, onboarding new buildings, and managing termination dilapidations.
• Build strong relationships with our internal and external clients to deliver a high quality, customer focused service and with our supply chain partners to deliver on time and to budget whilst achieving quality work and value for money.

In this role you will travel to various site locations within our West London Region or our Southwest Regional (Bristol/Oxford/Milton Keynes) on a regular basis. Your office base will be either in LB Kensington & Chelsea (West London Region) or Hounslow (Southwest Region). Occasional travel to our Head Office, near St Katherine’s Dock will also be required. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities.

We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for a skilled Surveyor with proven experience in management and delivery of responsive repairs, major works projects, and planned reinvestment programmes or cyclical maintenance programmes.

• You may hold an HNC/HND level qualification or higher in Building Surveying (or equivalent qualification) or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience.
• You will demonstrate the ability to deliver robust contract management that delivers on time and to budget, and your experience of large scale budget management and valuations.
• You may have some experience working in the social housing sector, which is beneficial but not essential.
• A full UK or equivalent driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

You’ll provide high quality admin support to the South West team, coordinate, plan and prep key meetings, and provide first point contact for both internal and external stakeholders. Including working co-productively with people living with Parkinson’s.

As members of the Community Directorate we aim to reach out to and support people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and carers.  We enable the voice of people affected by Parkinson’s to be heard to improve services, inform our priorities and improve decision making locally.

Through community development we work in close collaboration with our respective Parkinson’s communities to bring change on the issues that matter most to people affected by Parkinson’s.

What you’ll do:

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and other events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, liaising with participants and speakers, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings as required.
• Keep up to date with the directorate’s activities in order to provide clear, accurate information, and support the process of business performance and impact reporting. 
• Respond to general enquiries in a timely and friendly  fashion, ensuring needs are met, and participate in working groups, meetings, local events or activities as required.
• Maintain digital records on the charity’s data platforms.

• Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities. 
• Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet the business requirements.

Fauna & Flora is seeking a highly experienced professional to manage it’s fundraising from a portfolio of statutory (government and multilateral) donors, such as Defra, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service etc.

You will support colleagues and partners to develop high-quality proposal packages for priority donors, and ensure their timely submission. You will coordinate proposals and reporting internally, and ensure all documents produced for donors meet their criteria, as well as follow Fauna & Flora approval and submission procedures. There is a strong capacity development element to this work, and you will share knowledge, learning and resources across Fauna & Flora to maximise success rate and promote best practice in grant management and donor stewardship. You may also develop and deliver training packages, in Cambridge and potentially overseas. You will monitor Fauna & Flora’s activities in statutory fundraising and fund management within your portfolio, and support internal decision-making and strategy development by sharing this learning.

Experience of working with government funding sources, be they bilateral and/or multilateral, is essential for this role. You will have proven experience of securing restricted funding from government sources, and a strong understanding of how statutory donors and funding programmes support the achievement of international targets and government priorities. Knowledge of and experience in biodiversity conservation, the development sector, and/or climate is an asset; a commitment to learning and supporting these sectors is essential. You may have worked in the non-profit sector, such as international development, or have a background in bid management, proposal development, and grant fundraising.

Strong relationship-management and communications skills are essential to the role, to develop positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional teams, non-governmental partners, and government agencies. You will be diplomatic and persuasive, and your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to coordinate people and processes to meet timelines. You will be a strong team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount. With a proactive and pre-emptive approach to your work, you will seek to add value and work with minimal supervision.

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Skills in languages relevant to Fauna & Flora’s programme (e.g., French, Spanish, Bahasa) are highly desirable. Sensitivity to the different working environments and capacities of colleagues around the world is also essential.
