About the role:

At LaunchPad, our 14-bed assessment hub in Newham, we support people coming directly off the street; individuals facing multiple barriers such as mental health challenges, substance use and physical health needs. This is more than just a place of safety; it’s a vital starting point for people to rebuild their lives. Clients stay with us for up to 16 weeks, during which time we provide intensive, tailored support to help them access health services, stabilise their situation, and move forward into appropriate long-term accommodation. As a Project Worker Complex Needs, you’ll hold a caseload of up to five clients, giving you the time and space to build meaningful relationships and deliver focused, high-impact support.

Working alongside the Service Manager and a dynamic, passionate team, you’ll be part of a service that plays a crucial role in reducing street homelessness across Newham. Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties across South West London. Jigsaw4u has experienced considerable growth and development over the past several years. Jigsaw4u’s Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have recognised the need for dedicated staffing resource to hold the day-to-day responsibility for the service management function as part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

As a member of our SLT, you will help to deliver and shape and the organisation’s vision and strategy. • Ensure that the structure of all Jigsaw4u services are optimised to allow for growth and support staff and volunteers (including trainee counsellors/therapists) to develop key skills.

• Work proactively and collaboratively to identify innovation and business improvement within the SLT to define and agree Target Operating Models and oversee implementation and ongoing review. Use insight, evaluation and analysis to continually inform and refine practice.
• Play a full part in the development of the SLT and deputise for the CEO as required. About the role:

The Alcohol Behavioural Change Specialist is responsible for collaboratively designing and implementing, evidence-based programmes applying appropriate behavioural change models aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, and promoting long-term behavioural change related to alcohol consumption.

As a leading charity focused on alcohol harm reduction, the postholder will be Drinkaware’s internal expert regarding alcohol harm to individuals and will have a good understanding of brief interventions, as well as information, advice and guidance including quality assurance across our work. They will work across the organisation providing expert advice and guidance.

Programme & Intervention Development

• Work with the Head of operations to develop and implement personalised intervention strategies to help individuals reduce alcohol consumption, using evidence-based behavioural change techniques through our app and other digital tools.

• Collaborate with lived experience panel and Independent Advisory Panel to create comprehensive alcohol-related behavioural health programmes.

• Utilise your experience of motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based practices to promote lasting change in alcohol use behaviours across Drinkaware’s activity.

• Stay up to date on the latest research in alcohol use, behavioural change methods to inform programme development and interventions.

Content & Communication

• Work with the Marketing & Content team to produce engaging content for public audiences ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of advice and guidance in all Drinkaware messaging.

• Work with the Digital and Content team to ensure the Drinkaware website content is relevant and up to date.

• Presenting our insights, programmes and tools to external stakeholders including funders, public health departments etc.

About you:

This role requires a deep understanding of psychological theories, behavioural science, and addiction, along with practical experience in behavioural interventions.

Qualifications and/or experience

• Degree or higher in Psychology, Behavioural change, Public Health, or a related field. Certification or training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or other relevant therapeutic approaches is highly desirable.

Essential Criteria / Key Skills

• Strong understanding of behavioural science theories and experience of how to apply them to alcohol use, with proficiency in delivering behavioural change techniques.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing behavioural change interventions, particularly in the context of alcohol or addiction.
• Experience with digital health applications is desirable.

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in the health sector and have a passion for reducing alcohol harm in the UK.

• Data analysis and program evaluation experience.
• Confident public speaker able to represent Drinkaware at events, conferences and in the media.

At the heart of Camden’s mission to end rough sleeping, the Gray's Inn Road project offers short-stay accommodation for 16 individuals experiencing some of the most challenging periods in their lives. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, this service plays a pivotal role in ensuring rough sleeping in Camden is not only rare but brief and not repeated. Residents typically stay between three to six months, during which time the focus is on creating pathways into safe, sustainable housing and renewed independence.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering trauma-informed, psychologically informed support. You’ll work closely with clients facing overlapping challenges including homelessness, poor physical and mental health, substance use, trauma and histories with the criminal justice system. With your own caseload, you’ll conduct in-depth assessments, build tailored support plans and facilitate interventions that reflect the needs, strengths and aspirations of each person. Every day brings new opportunities to connect people with education, training or employment, to help them rebuild practical life skills, and to foster progress towards long-term goals.

This is a role where no two days are the same, and the impact you’ll make is tangible. From supporting someone through a housing move to witnessing the first steps towards recovery or reconnection. We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused administrator to lead on the administration of the CLPE Learning Programme, which includes courses that take place both in person at the Centre and online as well as INSET training and consultancy delivered at other locations around the country. You will also be part of the Centre’s administration team to support the day-to-day running of the Centre and help us ensure that everyone who works in and visits our Centre is well looked after and has a fantastic experience. This will include providing reception cover, greeting visitors, answering phones, supporting tenants and event bookings, and providing general admin support to the team based at the Centre.

You will be based at our beautiful Grade 2 listed building in Southwark. Your usual working hours will be 2pm to 6pm to provide Centre admin cover during this time, but this role will also require occasional evening or weekend working to fulfil event commitments, and flexibility to provide cover for staff leave. Due to the nature of your duties, and fixed hours, this role is not suitable for flexible or home working.

Our Centre houses an amazing collection of 25,000 children’s books as well as being a training and event centre for teachers, publishers and everyone else who works with children’s literature and cares about children’s literacy. 

This is an extremely interesting and varied job. As well as working closely with our teaching team, responding to enquiries and bookings, and arranging logistics for courses and events taking place at the Centre, you might also be supporting our librarian with a book launch, welcoming our trustees to a meeting, or looking after a famous children’s author. 

Your duties will include:

• Providing the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to courses, webinars, CPD or other events, by email and phone, as well as responding to general enquiries

• Coordinating all booking information for courses, INSET training and consultancy

• Carrying out data reconciliation and reporting using systems such as Zoom and Xero 

• Updating webpages for courses and events 

• Managing all event logistics, including joining details, invoicing, gathering feedback and on-the-day support / room set-up / catering

• Arranging travel and accommodation when necessary

• Working with the Centre Manager/s to ensure the smooth running of the building for visitors, staff and tenants

• Managing room bookings, including responding to enquiries, confirming and recording bookings and sending invoices

• Managing the Centre signing in system for guests

• Ordering supplies and supporting the wider CLPE team with ad hoc administrative tasks 

You will need good administration and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure, as well as excellent attention to detail and customer service skills. You should also have experience of working in a customer-facing role and / or supporting schools and other education settings. An understanding of financial sales processes, including online booking processes, and competence with Microsoft Office, Teams and Zoom will be essential.

You should also be confident that you are able to manage physical aspects of the role, including setting up event rooms and moving furniture when necessary

Your main focus will be acquiring new supporters through digital channels — planning and delivering high-performing campaigns across paid social, PPC, email and more. You’ll also lead on developing and testing new digital fundraising products that inspire one-off and regular giving.

You might be working in digital fundraising, marketing, or performance-based acquisition. You’ll have experience running digital campaigns, analysing results, and using insight to drive improvements. You’ll also be a creative thinker who’s excited to try new approaches and help us grow.

This is a hands-on role that will also help influence strategy. You’ll work within the Individual Giving and Legacies team, but work closely with colleagues across Brand, Content, Digital and Data, and with external partners and agencies. Purpose of the Retail Assistant role:

We are looking to recruit a retail assistant.

You will be part of a customer focused team working across both the museum’s retail outlet and admissions point. The ideal person for this position should have excellent customer service skills and the ability to promote and up-sell products, experiences, and activities to our visitors, have a friendly attitude and the ability to multi-task. Based on an annualised contract, your total annual working hours will be equal to 988 hours. A working week will have a minimum of zero hours and a maximum of 35 hours. A working shift will normally be no less than 4 hours and no more than 7 hours. A normal working week will not exceed working 5 days out of 7. Actual weekly hours will depend on operational requirements. Standard hours will be between 9.30am and 5.30pm but are subject to change based on reasonable and timely operational requirements, including working regular weekends.

Key responsibilities of our Retail Assistant include:

• Providing high standards of customer care through pro-active and re-active engagement with visitors
• Operating commercial experiences, and associated tills
• Maximising commercial experiences revenue by actively promoting the experiences and ensuring the they operate at the appropriate times
• Quickly reporting any commercial experiences issues to the relevant people, including liaising directly with external contractors where appropriate
• Ensuring all security and health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times, including the completion and recording of daily and weekly checks
• Operating flexibly across a range of customer care roles
• Accurately cash-up and reconcile tills/EPOS system as required
• Utilising all visitor interactions as an opportunity to promote additional income generation.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) are recruiting for an Expert by Experience Coordinator to join our supportive and growing team. The Expert by Experience Coordinator is a new role in our small dynamic charity. The postholder will work to ensure the voices and perspectives of individuals with lived experience of asylum and forced migration are integrated into the design and delivery of AFRIL services and policy work. This role involves facilitating communication, promoting co-production, and empowering individuals to share their expertise to improve services and guide policy priorities. 

The post involves coordinating our monthly Members Forum, and working with the core team to feed this into policy and service development, alongside thematic and sometimes practical support to our Allotment Steering Group, Rainbow Club Youth Council and Asylum Hotel Residents Forum. The postholder will develop the AFRIL ambassadors scheme, creating opportunities for former clients to continue to be involved in shaping AFRIL, and work with the Director to develop a governance level co-production structure as agreed with the Board of Trustees. 

We are looking for a good people person, able to engage and inspire others, who demonstrates a collaborative approach to working with a range of stakeholders and in particular AFRIL clients who come from a variety of backgrounds. The postholder will be highly organised, have good project planning and execution skills, and a good working knowledge of the issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Community language skills are an asset.

Pre-Action Protocol letters to challenge unlawful public law decisions. The service currently provides Level 1 immigration advice under the Immigration Advice Agency.

• Destitution Support - a fortnightly Food Bank in partnership with St Peter’s Church providing food, food vouchers, toiletries, and other essentials, alongside a warm hub with free cafe, information and support. Small grants for essential items and cash payments for food in emergencies. Securing and distributing gifts in kind, e.g. winter coats, laptops and data. 

• Allotment of Refuge - a welcoming community of food growers that supports improved health, wellbeing and integration of members, whilst protecting the local environment. 

• Immigration Project in partnership with Southwark Law Centre, providing free legal advice and representation to support people to regularise their immigration status. 

We also use our frontline experience, together with our clients, to engage in Policy and influencing work to improve the services and policies that impact our client group. This includes advising the GLA on 3 asylum related working groups, and as a member of the London Housing Panel.
