We are working to open new choices and forms of support for our members around their future retirement plans, with housing and financial service industry partners. This includes bringing new tailored products to life on home ownership, financial advice, coaching and financial wellbeing, harnessing the expertise of those partners. We are now looking for a skilled Product and Partnerships Manager, to manage setting up these new future partnerships for success

Working as part of an Implementation team, this role will manage the design and stand up of innovative new partnerships to support our customers with their retirement plans This will involve working with proposed partners to finalise the 'nuts and bolts' of how new products and referral paths will work in practice, with a focus on housing and financial services partnership areas. It will also involve setting up commercial arrangements that offer value for money and prioritise a seamless customer experience. Using your expertise, you will also support our teams to make the most of and broaden existing partnerships.

Working as part of one of our programme teams, and with NCI finance, audit & risk and procurement teams:

• Quickly understand the existing partnership landscape - assessing where we need to formalise fledgling partnerships to bring new products and choices to our members, and where we need to conduct more due diligence or cultivate new opportunities.
• Build a good rapport with prospective partners, setting out a clear plan for getting from detailed design to a workable product and customer journey as quickly as possible.
• Working with partners to ensure excellent customer experience for our members, with seamless integration into other services and support offered by the Church.
• Run procurement and commercial negotiation processes to formally establish essential partnerships- likely to be a mix of invitation to tender style processes, and more innovative investment partnerships.
• Work collaboratively with internal colleagues to establish robust back-office processes to govern flow of money and data between partners and the Church, including defining and implementing feedback/reporting processes.
• Set the foundations of good partnership/supplier management, including a strong focus on quality assurance.
• Provide expertise to our team on navigating regulated markets e.g. knowing what type of questions to ask and when to seek specialist advice.
• Work with communications colleagues, to ensure that new choices supported by partners are communicated appropriately mindful of regulatory lines and the intended audience.
• Coach and support colleagues who are setting up signposting/informal partnerships with a range of housing providers, as to how to establish those relationships and ensure their success.
• Design and implement the right horizon scanning mechanisms within the team to help colleagues keep abreast of relevant developments around in financial advice, housing and related markets.
• Monitor feedback on relationships and work with partners to evolve services.

• A salary of £59,248 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager, who  will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of the organisation. Able to manage the day-to-day financial analysis and reporting requirements for Money Ready, and provide input for strategic financial planning. Using a business partnering model, ensure all budget holders are fully supported in their roles. Responsible for the delivery of all management accounts, budget, forecasts and donor reporting as well as the annual statutory accounts. The Senior Finance Manager will be a member of the SMT. This role will lead or contribute to the implementation of new financial systems, tools, or procedures that improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with auditors on preparing the audit strategy and manage annual audit process, providing all the relevant paperwork during the audit process.
• Be a positive change champion for the organisation, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies in both finance and across the Union as a whole.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns with reconciliations and reporting. Line management, objective setting and performance reviews for direct report.
• Establish and maintain a robust internal controls environment that is fit for purpose but uses a risk-based approach to the establishment of processes and procedures.

Personal Specification

• You will need to show;
• Experience Substantial experience in a finance or accounting role (including at management level) in a not-for profit organisation.
• Substantial experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end accounts.
• Substantial experience in processing monthly payroll using QuickBooks Payroll and Sage Payroll.
• Line management experience, including objectives setting and performance reviews.
• Experience in charity accounting principles, especially with regards to grants and restricted funds.
• Demonstrable experience of business partnering with multiple, non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience of establishing financial systems including business plans and budgets.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Scope: Routine financial oversight including aspects of management and statutory accounting, budgeting, treasury, payroll and audit.
Role Description: The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing accurate financial records and controls for Waverley Abbey Trust and subsidiary operations, managing a team of three, taking care of day-to-day banking, VAT returns, gift aid, insurance, etc..
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including day to day banking transactions, current and deposit accounts, reconciliations and authorisation of all payments, payroll, and other transactions.

Ability to interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed.

Monitor cash flow, bank accounts and financial transactions.

Key Requirements & Skills
•
Preferable- Degree level qualification or ATT (or comparable) in accounting, finance management or similar.

At least 10 years’ experience in finance management and accounting.

Senior Management experience.

Ideally, not essentially, having some experience of the Charity and Higher Education sectors
•
High levels of familiarity and comfort with Sage 200, Microsoft office packages and computer-based accountancy packages.

Experience of payroll admin including workplace pensions and leave provisions (i.e. Maternity leave etc).

Confident and clear communicator in both written and verbal forms of communication

Highly organised with superior attention to detail, especially in planning , report writing and budgeting.

About the role

You will be joining a friendly and face paced fundraising team to identify, support and retain regional supporters. You will be responsible for

* Driving engagement across your region (and beyond) to proactively identify, support, and retain supporters.

As Community Fundraising Manager you will manage a team of two fundraisers to grow income across community fundraising at the bronze and silver levels (mass fundraisers), with a focus on growing income from Do Your Own Thing supporters, regional corporates and organisations (e.g. golf clubs, groups). You will also work with the rest of the team to ensure outstanding supporter journeys.

* Experience of drafting, monitoring and forecasting team budgets

St Catherine’s Church Centre is a vibrant church and community centre situated in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. A Christian Charity, St Catherine's runs a wide range of community services, activities, projects and groups including an Elderly Day Care Centre, a Meals on Wheels Service, Community Café, Emergency Food Store and a range of activities for people affected by mental ill-health.

Warm Welcome Partnerships Manager

Location: Fully remote with flexible working arrangements

Salary: £38,584 per year FTE, dependent on experience

Contract: We are open to this role being part time (0.8FTE) or full time. We offer fully flexible working.

Founded in 2022, the Warm Welcome Campaign wants everyone in the UK to find a place of belonging and reconnection at a Warm Welcome Space near their home. We have a bold ambition to enable a more deeply connected society where we all have free access to welcoming community spaces. 

We resource, connect and champion a network of over 5300 Warm Welcome Spaces and bring together a growing coalition of local, regional, and national partners representing the worlds of charity, faith, business, government, and philanthropy. By working together, we can unlock the power of community spaces made by and for everyone, creating a thriving network of hope and reconnection fueled by human warmth.

The Opportunity

To support the range and depth of partnerships we have and the potential we see, we are looking for a Partnerships Manager to work primarily on building partnerships with Local Authorities and public sector organisations, charities and social enterprises, faith-based and inclusion-focused organisations and other groups who might help us strategically grow and resource the Warm Welcome network across the UK (NB Corporate Partnerships are managed by our newly appointed Fundraising Lead for Corporates). The Partnerships Manager will also help develop our support for Warm Welcome Spaces, including overseeing our Champions Programme which offers more intense support and a Community of Practice to a smaller cohort of local groups. 

We’re looking for someone who thrives on the variety of connecting with a huge range of people and who is organised and systematic while at the same time has room for creativity and innovation.

Joining during an exciting period of growth, you will be inheriting a hugely diverse and highly engaged coalition of Warm Welcome Partners who have supported the campaign and local Spaces over the last 2 and a half years. At the same time, there remains a huge untapped potential in terms of possible partners and relationships to be developed and you will be working together with the Campaign Director and team to strategically identify and develop these new connections.

Responsibilities

Building Partnerships

● Developing our Partnership Strategy to identify and engage the best potential partners to help us grow the network and reach our ambition of 100% of the population living within a 30-minute walk of a registered Warm Welcome Space. This will involve identifying and engaging partners in geographical ‘cold spots’ for the network (utilising our mapping tool developed with UCL), as well as forming partnerships to unlock new or under-represented types of Warm Welcome Spaces (e.g. Housing Association Community Spaces, cinemas, community spaces created by new housing developments etc).

● Leading the development of our Local Co-ordinators Cluster which brings together Local Authorities and others who are leading place-based networks of community spaces.

● Overseeing and developing the Champions Programme, providing more intensive support and connections to a smaller cohort of Warm Welcome Spaces.

Engagement and Inclusion

● Developing our Inclusion Strategy to identify and engage the best potential partners to diversify our Coalition and support local Spaces to become more accessible and inclusive.

● Working with the team to develop regular engagement activities for Warm Welcome Partners.

● Producing compelling communications (written and verbal) to promote the work of the Warm Welcome Campaign and grow the depth and breadth of partnerships - to include but not limited to partnership proposals, pitches and reports.

Good Practices, Standards and Systems

● Supporting, maintaining and developing existing partnerships and manage the systems (including CRM use) needed for excellent partnerships delivery, stewardship and development.

● Leading Warm Welcome Space good practice and driving up quality standards across the network, including through developing a Warm Welcome Awards programme.

● Promoting good practice in volunteering and supporting Spaces to maximise and grow volunteering opportunities.

● Working with the team and, using our new CRM, track, measure and analyse our partnerships delivery.

● Supporting the delivery of other Warm Welcome efforts, as appropriate

Reporting to the Campaign Operations Director, you will work closely with them and other Senior Directors to grow the range and impact of Warm Welcome partnerships. The role will also work closely with the Communications team and with our two Warm Welcome Co-ordinators who deliver our Champions programme and provide a direct link between the campaign and Warm Welcome Spaces.

Given the nature of this role we would also expect the applicant to carry out a reasonable amount of travel to both Warm Welcome Spaces and partners across the UK.

Job Summary:  This role provides operational and strategic leadership for the Finance function of Feed The Hungry UK. As part of the Management team, this role reports to the CEO and the Trustee Board.

Work Pattern  Full time (37.5 hours per week)

Location:    Based at The Halo Centre, Coventry, with limited flexibility to work from home (by agreement).  

JOB DESCRIPTION  Main responsibilities.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all internal and external financial processing and reporting, ensuring full compliance with all laws and regulations, including the Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House regulations.

1. Lead, motivate, develop and train the finance team, promoting an equal, diverse and inclusive team with a positive culture reflecting the values of Feed The Hungry. 

2. Ensure Feed The Hungry operates sound financial, risk management, internal control systems and maintains up-to-date Financial Regulations to safeguard stakeholders' interests and assets and to ensure the integrity of the organisation’s financial performance and statements. 

3. Provide effective day-to-day oversight of the organisation’s financial controls and financial performance, including keeping financial policies up to date and in line with our processes.

4. As Company Secretary, support governance activities, including administration for board meetings, trustee enquiries and administrative duties for the board. 

5. Be alert to all organisational activities that have a financial impact and speedily assess the impact of such activities. 

6. In partnership with the CEO and Directors, develop and support the delivery of the organisation's strategic plan and the related budgets and forecasts.

7. Ensure the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial data, including strategic plans, budgets, management accounts, live forecasts, and financial data and monitoring requested by funders.

8. Provide financial and management support to the CEO, Directors and trustees on the financial position and risks and opportunities of Feed the Hungry. 

9. Financial oversight of contract negotiations (utilities, insurance). 

10. Proactively develop strong working relationships with FTH managers, providing constructive challenge and commercial insight in support of the strategy. Be proactive in challenging the status quo and be prepared to bring new ideas that will enhance the organisation’s activities and returns. 

11. Regular monitoring and tracking of grants made to the organisation. Ensuring external reporting deadlines are met and internal updates on remaining spend is conveyed to project management grant holders. 

12. Administrative responsibility for oversight of the externally appointed auditors and the successful completion of annual audited financial statements and the annual report, and the timely submission to the Trustees.

13. Maintain an ongoing dialogue with the CEO and Directors, and the external auditors. Responsible for the Company's Finance, Tax, Pensions, Audit, and Payroll.

14. Fulfil the role and duties of Company Secretary and attend Trustee meetings with the CEO and Directors
