The Role

As Community and Trusts Fundraiser, you will be at the heart of our community fundraising efforts while also taking ownership of your fundraising portfolio, focusing on maximising income from Community groups, Individuals, Trusts and Foundations (both UK and international). You'll build and manage your own portfolio of donors, create fundraising initiatives and try new approaches that inspire and encourage community fundraising. Your Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and activities for community groups and individuals.

• Develop a robust pipeline of funding applications, securing grants from trusts and foundations.

About The Opportunity

Money Workshops are the core of what we do. Through these sessions, we reach over 40,000 people per year across the UK with our vital financial wellbeing messages. 

This offering is split between two areas of work: Workshops for children and young people (our Financial Education offer), and Sessions & Programmes for adults (what we call Financial Wellbeing Training). The Workshops are interactive, engaging and relevant, covering topics including budgeting, saving, borrowing, investing, pensions and much more. In the majority of cases, they are also fully-funded (free) to the organisations we partner with, keeping barriers to access as low as possible.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for some of our key donor development activities: you will be a confident communicator and experienced project manager, with a strong knowledge of donor development key touchpoints and best practice, as well as a tracked record of managing telemarketing and Direct Mail campaigns

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on the overall donor development offline programme for both cash and committed donors, ensuring a strong onboarding and onward journey is in place, and that key touchpoints are leveraged to deepen engagement and increase donors’ Lifetime Value.
• Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey.
• Provide colleagues with strategic guidance, and technical support if required, to deliver warm appeals via Direct Mail that meet six-figures campaign targets.
• Manage our Telemarketing programme, to successfully launch and deliver activities such as conversion, upgrade, reactivation, and welcome calling.
• Ensure an insight-led thanking programme is in place, with key moments identified throughout the year to acknowledge support and communicate impact.
• Work with key stakeholders across digital and offline teams to ensure we maintain a strong retention rate whilst growing our Regular Giving file.
• Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations.
• Work with our Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.
• Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews.
• Work with our suppliers to ensure campaign fulfilment is in place and collaborate with our Supporter Care function to monitor responses and identify issues/opportunities.
• Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs.
• Stay up to date with issues affecting displaced & refugee communities, campaigns from international teams and reports from the field. Scope new fundraising themes.
• Share creative and insights with UK colleagues, global markets and HQ, participating in training seminars, workshops and international skill shares where applicable.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The role involves reporting and analysis by examining different business areas, producing reports for budget holders and the executive team, and presenting conclusions to support decision-making. Responsibilities include analyzing business performance on a monthly basis for specific areas, meeting regularly with strategic budget holders to review spending, highlighting underperforming areas, and supporting executive budget holders in implementing improvements. Reports will be prepared that link both financial and non-financial information.

In terms of budgeting, the role requires working with executive budget holders to develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts, with a strong understanding of the key drivers behind budget bids and forecasts. It also involves analyzing budgets and forecasts by area, explaining variances between actual, budgeted, and forecasted results, and writing monthly management accounts commentary for allocated areas.

For wider finance tasks, the role includes working closely with the finance team to connect customers to finance processes, supporting the simplification and streamlining of finance procedures, and understanding the broader business impact of spend, income, assets, liabilities, and reserves. Taking ownership of problems and driving them through to resolution is also a key expectation.

You will be ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified, or hold an equivalent qualification, with demonstrable post-qualification experience and continued professional development. Job Purpose

As an Overnight Homeless Shelter Worker, you’ll be part of a small, professional team running Glass Door’s night shelters between November and April. Working alongside at least one other staff member, you’ll be awake and engaged throughout the night, supporting up to 35 guests who are experiencing homelessness. 

Your role is about creating a safe, calm, and welcoming space where guests can rest, feel respected, and be treated with dignity. You’ll build trust through friendly conversation, keep an eye on everyone’s wellbeing with regular checks, and step in when problems arise – from offering reassurance to someone in emotional distress, to calmly handling challenging behaviour, to calling emergency services if needed. 

Most nights are steady and focused on guest support, but there can be moments of pressure. We’ll provide training so you feel confident and prepared. You’ll also help serve a light breakfast in the morning and ensure our equipment is packed and ready for the next night – with one of you driving the van back to base.

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do 

You’ll be part of the overnight team making sure our night shelters are safe, supportive, and welcoming spaces for everyone staying with us. This is an awake, overnight role, you will be alert and engaged for the whole shift. Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Welcoming and supporting guests – Create a friendly, respectful atmosphere and build positive relationships with guests, volunteers, and colleagues. 

• Staying alert all night – Carry out regular checks around the shelter (every 20 minutes) to make sure guests are safe, and comfortable. 

• Responding to situations – Calmly manage any issues that arise, such as someone feeling unwell, experiencing emotional distress, or showing challenging behaviour. This may sometimes mean calling emergency services. Training will be provided. 

• Keep the shelter safe and secure – Follow all safety, security, and health and safety procedures. This includes locking and unlocking doors and making sure the space stays tidy and free from hazards. 

• Recording important information – Write clear, accurate shift reports and note any concerns or observations. Complete incident forms if needed. 

• Supporting volunteers – Offer direction and guidance to volunteers on shift so everyone works well together. 

• Enforcing behaviour expectations – Address situations where may display challenging behaviour, using a calm and respectful approach, conflict de-escalation training is provided for all staff. 

• Packing and unpacking the van – unload equipment and supplies into the van at the start of the shift and repack at the end of the night. The allocated driver will return the van to base (driver shifts are paid for an extra hour). 

• Restocking supplies – Keep an eye on essentials such as tea, coffee, and toilet paper, and restock from the van when needed. 

• Preparing a simple breakfast – In the morning, help serve drinks, toast, and porridge, and make sure guests are woken from 6am so they can leave by 7am. 

• Tidying and closing down – Gather equipment, pack it away, and ensure nothing is left behind. 

• Training and meetings – Attend occasional in-person training sessions, team meetings, or other activities. From time to time, you may be assigned online training to complete while on shift. 

• Work to a rota – Shifts will include evenings, weekends, and public holidays, so flexibility is important. 

• Help with other tasks as needed – From time to time, you may be asked to help with other reasonable tasks that keep the night shelter running smoothly.

• A genuine commitment to providing a high standard of service and treating everyone with respect, kindness, and dignity.

Job purpose

As a Debt Advisor (Omni-Channel: Telephone & Video), your primary role will be to provide over-indebted clients with tailored debt advice through various channels, including telephone, WhatsApp, and our network of video advice kiosks located in prisons, hospitals, job centres, town halls, and other community settings. You will help clients start their debt advice journey efficiently, ensuring they receive accurate and effective support.

• To provide over-indebted clients with free, face-to-face advice that is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances
• To maintain detailed case records
• Keep up to date with legislation, policies and procedures and undertake appropriate training

Essential Criteria:

Experience and Skills:

• Hold a valid Money Advice Service accredited qualification in debt advice to level three or higher
• Minimum 2 years f debt advice experience
• Proven record of good quality debt advice
• Provided casework support
• Experience in a client-facing service envirnment
• CMS experience (Advice Pr preferable)
• Strng IT knowledge and familiar with using Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Clear communication skills and a strong command of the English language, oral and written
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Advocacy skills
• Ability to remain non-judgmental
• Awareness of, and ability to, understand and empathise with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds and disadvantaged groups living in the community

• Ability to work as part of a team and be open to receiving feedback and learning from others
• Ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively
