We are seeking a Dementia Carers Support Officer who can make a positive difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the diverse communities of Redbridge. We are a Queen's Award winning charity with over 30 years experience of supporting unpaid carers in Redbridge. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

• Lead on the development and implementation of our Individual Giving strategy, supported by the Head of Mass Participation and the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.
• Ensure all opportunities and future plans are in line with Winston’s Wish’s over-arching fundraising strategy to meet financial targets, organisational objectives and KPIs.
• Maintain an awareness of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK to ensure that Winston’s Wish remains up to date on key changes which are likely to impact on individual giving.

Generating Individual Giving Income

• Lead on and deliver a plan to increase individual giving income from streams including, but not exclusive to, direct mail, regular giving, legacies, in-mem and our charity lottery
• Effective use of KPIs to ensure decisions are driven by evidence and real-time data.
• Continuously analyse our income and supporter data to measure effectiveness of activities and return on investment.
• Work alongside our design agencies and in-house marketing team to develop and manage direct mail campaigns, including segmentation to ensure campaigns will be carefully targeted and designed to maximise income.
• Explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and increasing donations.
• Seek every opportunity to increase awareness of legacy giving to Winston’s Wish and monitor the effectiveness of these activities over time.
• Manage a growing portfolio of legacy enquirers with appropriate contact and timely solicitation of prospective legators including hosting events and tailored stewardship.

It will help to strengthen and grow our response capabilities, impact, and accountability of our humanitarian portfolio.

The post will drive our response to international disasters, building programmes and partnerships to support both relief and recovery efforts. The portfolio includes a strong established climate resilience focus. The establishment and maintenance of effective local partnerships with credible local actors is essential to develop our Disaster Preparedness Initiative (a network of local partners in disaster prone countries who we work with to respond to large and small disasters).

You should have:

• A deep understanding of international development & humanitarian theory, practice and standards
• Extensive relevant experience in the humanitarian ecosystem 
• Experience of leading within disaster response situations 
• Experience of contributing to complex programme decision-making, basing practical recommendations on sound analysis of risk and opportunity 
• Experience and knowledge of international humanitarian policy and practice issues and the humanitarian architecture sufficient to command the respect of others in the sector
• Experience in using best practices and humanitarian standards in designing programmes.
• Commitment to and experience of supporting locally led humanitarian action.
• Experience of developing and distance-managing partnerships with international or local agencies. 
• Proven experience of managing all elements of the project cycle. 
• An understanding of logical frameworks, monitoring and evaluation methodologies and the measurement of project impact. 
• Willingness to undertake significant international travel (approx. 4-6 trips per year).

ActionAid is looking for an experienced high value relationship expert to join the Trusts and Global Markets team as Head of Trusts and Global Markets. The role is crucial to the strategic direction of this area, part of the high value philanthropy and partnerships team at ActionAid UK. We’re looking for someone with strong experience of developing and running a high-end Trusts partnerships programme, with proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with Trusts or other major sources of income such as HNWI/corporates that has resulted in significant gifts and a proven ability to hit financial targets. 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading, inspiring and developing teams, through periods of organisational change and uncertainty. The post holder will need to be an excellent networker, innovative, creative and be confident in influencing for results. You will be empowered to represent ActionAid and to take decisions quickly. Permanent role offering a salary of up to £71,000 pa, depending on experience

Location: Hybrid working with minimum 2 days per week in the London office (near Moorgate)

Drinkaware is the UK’s leading alcohol charity with a vision of working together to reduce alcohol harm. We use our expertise to give governments, industry, communities and individuals the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about alcohol and how to reduce the harm it can cause.

We deliver public-facing campaigns and digital services, information and guidance, evidence-led advice to governments and industry as well as independent research, consumer insight and evaluation.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to join our team. The role will sit within our Central Services Team and will report to the Director of Resources and Business Systems.

In this role, you'll be responsible for producing and delivering monthly management accounts, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring robust internal controls are in place. You'll also manage the year end audit, budgeting and forecasting and support procurement processes, while leading a dedicated finance team.
