After ten successful years of growth, underpinned by a strong mission and successful fundraising, the Chineke! Foundation is looking for a Projects Director who will help ensure that the production and organisation of projects match their artistic ambition.
You will play an important role in the continued growth and evolution of the organisation. You will work closely with the Projects Team and lead on planning, selling and delivery. You will communicate the development of any new projects whilst overseeing the pre-existing engagements and work closely with our touring agents at Askonas Holt. Reporting to the Managing Director and working as part of our dynamic team of management staff you will play a vital role in the organisation.
Job description
Reporting to the Managing Director and in coordination with the Artistic Director and Deputy Artistic Director, you will handle the orchestra’s diary, lead on the production of projects and line manage the Orchestra & Tour Manager and our Production freelancers.
Your responsibilities will be:
· Attending all Chineke! rehearsals, projects and tours
· Working closely with the artistic team to assist on curation of programmes, keeping track of conductor/soloist invites and handling contracting once bookings have been confirmed
· Meeting with venues to generate interest in our future programmes and secure concert dates to build out regional tours around core Southbank Centre dates
· Keeping the Development Director and Marketing and Communications Manager up to date on projects and future plans
· Keeping track of our National Portfolio Organisation requirements with Arts Council and planning projects to meet our targets on the number of concerts in each category that we have committed to in each financial year
· Working closely with our important partners i.e. Askonas Holt, Southbank Centre, Woolwich Works, Royal Albert Hall
· Working closely with the Artistic Team and Managing Director to ensure that our performance plans align with our mission and 5 Year Development Plan
· Producing and negotiating contracts to engagements (conductors, soloists, with venues/festivals, tours, commercial engagements etc.)

The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in helping the RES achieve its strategic goals by developing, building and sustaining partnerships to deliver external funding. Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and bid development
- Identify and secure new sponsorship and partnerships opportunities to support existing RES activities
- Seek funding for new activities in line with the Society’s goals.
- Maintain and develop relationships with current and prospective partners including funding bodies, trusts and foundations, sponsors, major donors, corporates, universities and others.
- Write high-quality, persuasive funding bids and proposals, working with RES staff, trustees, and partner organisations.
- Develop cases for support, theory of change frameworks and budgets to underpin funding applications.
- Respond to calls for funding with tailored and timely applications that align with funder interests and the Society’s strategic priorities.
- Work closely with colleagues on the delivery of the funded activities, where appropriate overseeing these directly.
- Work closely with colleagues to identify priority initiatives that require external funding to proceed and maintain a clear pipeline of funding needs across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain RES group and institutional memberships.
Business Development and External Engagement
- Monitor trends in research funding, philanthropy, and corporate partnerships relevant to economics and learned societies.
- Horizon-scan and build a pipeline of future fundraising opportunities.
- Represent RES externally at funder meetings, networking events, and partnership development discussions.
Internal Collaboration and Capacity Building
- Work closely with colleagues shaping and costing funding proposals and ensure bid quality and compliance
- Provide guidance, training, and support to colleagues on funding opportunities, bid development, and funder expectations.
- Work with finance colleagues to ensure accurate invoicing, renewals, and financial forecasting.
Reporting
- Monitor performance against income and other targets and report regularly to the Chief Executive and Board.
- Prepare briefings, proposals and reports for Board and committee meetings.
Other
- Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities commensurate with the role and as reasonably requested.
Person Specification
Essential Skills
- Proven experience of successful fundraising, bid writing or business development, preferably in a learned society, research organisation, professional body or in higher education.
- Understanding of impact and outcomes-based funding models (e.g. theory of change), and how to align funding opportunities with organisational priorities.
- Ability to support the development of budgets for funding bids and to track/report against income target.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive funding bids, cases for support, and briefing materials.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with the research, higher education, or economics funding landscape.
- Experience of working with a variety of funders, including trusts and foundations, research councils, corporates, or major donors.
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or equivalent).
- Understanding of how charitable governance interacts with fundraising, including experience supporting committees or preparing reports for Boards.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties across South West London. - Ensure that the structure of all Jigsaw4u services are optimised to allow for growth and support staff and volunteers (including trainee counsellors/therapists) to develop key skills.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of best practice within the charitable sector (and other sectors where relevant), to inform and update Jigsaw4u so that we take advantage of the latest approaches to change, innovation and development which can have a positive impact on our beneficiaries lives.
- Work proactively and collaboratively to identify innovation and business improvement within the SLT to define and agree Target Operating Models and oversee implementation and ongoing review. Use insight, evaluation and analysis to continually inform and refine practice.
- Play a full part in the development of the SLT and deputise for the CEO as required. Work closely with the Service Management Team to develop and deliver an outstanding approach to people management, building a learning culture that delivers high quality, extensive support enabling people to achieve their best as a team.
- Represent Jigsaw4u at formal meetings with funders and other stakeholders and through submission of reports and data requests. Establish new, and strengthen existing, external relationships to promote Jigsaw4u’s profile, influence and reputation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, and adherence to relevant professional codes and standards of good practice.

As a member of the SLT you will be expected, with training and support, to take an active part in supporting the whole organisation. Experience and aptitude to provide calm leadership and a supportive problem-solving approach to practical problems and judgements involving risk is necessary.

About the role

Essential Responsibilities

- Align the UK DAF strategy with the broader high net worth engagement strategy , collaborating with colleagues to maximise impact.
- Build Humane World for Animals’ UK DAF portfolio: identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships and partnerships with wealth advisors and DAF managers.
- Conduct outreach to wealth advisors outside the Humane World for Animals network who may not yet be familiar with our work and raising our profile with this specific audience, including via networking and events opportunities.

Spotlight’s team consists of an Executive Director, Deputy Director, Head of Finance & Operations, Senior Policy & Campaign Lead, Senior Advocacy Adviser, Senior Communications Advisor, and Senior Policy Researcher. The Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager is a new role, bringing the staff team to eight. In the six years since it was established, Spotlight has had significant trust fundraising success and established strong relationships with institutional funders who understand our work and its impact. Under a new three year strategy we are seeking to sustainably grow and diversify our funding base - across trusts and foundations and by establishing a major donor programme to enable us to increase our impact.
We are looking for someone experienced, ambitious and creative to be our first Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager, to drive our fundraising strategy, create new opportunities and relationships, lead the cultivation and stewardship of new trust funders, and develop a new major donor fundraising programme.
In this role you will have strategic accountability for fundraising and overseeing progress towards fundraising targets, working with the team and the Board to generate ideas and deliver proposals for raising funds, and for highlighting our impact to potential donors. You will be a hands-on fundraiser, who builds relationships with donors, keeps on top of developments in the funding landscape, develops compelling and creative pitches and proposals for funders, and as a result delivers sustainable income generation to ensure Spotlight achieves our organisational goals.
Key responsibilities

Lead on executing Spotlight’s fundraising strategy and donor management

Identify, maintain and develop a robust pipeline of prospects and funders across high-net-worth individuals, trusts and foundations and other appropriate giving vehicles

Working arrangements:
Two year contract with a view to making this a permanent role. Four days (28 hours) per week - with flexibility depending on the right candidate. 24 days of annual leave (pro rated from 30 for full-time roles) plus pro rated public holidays. Job Purpose
Our Business Development Manager is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on creating and improving relationships, expanding a product portfolio, and working across an organisation to drive impact. This role has a wide remit which covers our existing products as well as identifying new income streams.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a business development plan that maximises income streams, supports improvements in patient care, and strengthens our partnerships across the healthcare system. Main Responsibilties
Business Development Strategy
- Alongside the COO, develop and execute a business development strategy for BSR that secures financially sustainable funding streams that support our drive to improve patient care
- Lead on market research, product development and product lifecycle management
- Support the Senior Management Team and Heads of Department to expand and improve our product portfolios to keep partners engaged in supporting our diverse membership
Relationship building and management
- Lead relationship management with sponsors, partners and collaborators to provide exceptional and consistent account management

About the role
Due to significant growth within the Philanthropy team at Shelter in recent years, we have recently introduced our dedicated High Value Programme to capitalise on growth potential at the £3k - £20k donor level. We are looking for a Philanthropy Executive to join Shelter and work alongside the Senior High Value Programme Manager to provide support and excellent donor stewardship to the programme, helping to grow sustainable income to fuel Shelter’s Fight for Home.
The Philanthropy Executive will help to develop and deliver strategically aligned and insight-led fundraising appeals, creating innovative and impactful donor communications with the aim to bring donors closer to Shelter’s work. Working across the team to support on communication and stewardship projects as required, this is a varied role, which relies on strong written and verbal communication, and an efficiency in development, delivery and upkeep of the systems and processes that underpin a successful fundraising programme.
About you
You will play a key-role in expanding the high value programme and will provide vital support to the philanthropy team. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual who is happy to go the extra mile to provide first-class relationship management and be proactive and enjoy working with people at all levels. You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Experience within mid-level, major donor fundraising experience or transferrable experience of successfully building relationships is desirable for the role. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a background in writing compelling fundraising appeals or writing stewardship communications is crucial for the role. You will also need good time management skills and the ability to manage a variety of projects.

Shelter’s High Value Partnerships department is part of the Income Generation directorate and crucial to achieving our charitable mission and is responsible for raising £30 million a year through fundraising with high-net-worth individuals, legacy and in-memory supporters, trusts and foundations, companies and statutory funders. The Philanthropy team work with high-net-worth individuals to raise major donor income to help power Shelter’s work.

Reporting into the Head of Major Gifts, you will be responsible for leading on grant applications from trusts and other grant giving organisations. The grants will often be in the five to six figure range, and will be for a wide variety of activities, including bursaries, the Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, local and national learning and participation projects, and more. You will also be building on existing relationships with grant-giving organisations and help plan fundraising with the Head of Major Gifts and the Director of Fundraising and Development.
