About the role
In order to reach and support more kinship carers with these programmes and our other services, we have developed a new Marketing Team to develop and deliver integrated, strategic and creative marketing and engagement campaigns and strategies. This team is now established with clear plans to engage kinship carer audiences, rooted in insights.
Strategic engagement with professionals from the education sector as a conduit to engage kinship carers in our services offer is a key part of this role, and a relatively new area of focus for Kinship. Delivering against a strategic plan already in place, you will be managing relationships and marketing approaches to Virtual Schools, select Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) and other education professionals through umbrella bodies and associations to execute this.
Who we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, senior-level marketeer or engagement professional with a strong track record in further developing and delivering successful multi-channel marketing strategies targeted at a range of audiences to join us as a Head of Marketing and Strategic Engagement to oversee this team. Experience in working in the education sector, or an engagement role would be advantageous.
We’re looking for someone excited to hit the ground running, able to plan strategically, deliver operationally and take creative approaches to maximising engagement and acquisition with a small in-house team. Key responsibilities include:

Using data and market insights, develop and oversee the implementation of high-quality, integrated and strategic marketing and engagement strategies to support Kinship’s awareness, understanding, interest, income generation, engagement and growth amongst key audiences, with a particular focus on marketing our programmes and services.

Develop an expert knowledge of Kinship’s target audiences for marketing its programmes and services to (e.g. kinship carers, local authorities, education sector organisations and professionals) and devise tailored multi-channel marketing activities for different audiences to meet service objectives.

Ensure that all marketing plans and strategies align with, and support, the organisation’s brand strategy.

Lead the ongoing development and delivery of a focused schools engagement campaign and activity through key channels to raise awareness of kinship care within education settings to engage with kinship carers currently unknown to Kinship, including those from under-represented groups.

Work closely with leads for Kinship’s different programmes and services, and in the Business Development, Digital and Communications teams to ensure marketing communications and engagement with key audiences are aligned.

Work in collaboration and co-production with kinship carers and their families to ensure meaningful input and representation in the development of relevant plans and activities.

Drive forward cross-departmental work to further develop the organisation’s email marketing strategic approach.

Contribute to the development of performance indicators for all marketing activities, using these to adjust campaigns to maximise effectiveness and provide regular reporting and analysis.

Essential criteria include:

Significant experience (5+ years) in marketing, with demonstrable success in delivering integrated strategic marketing and/or engagement strategies which met objectives around engagement and acquisition.

Experience in a management role, with line management experience, and accustomed to operating with senior-level colleagues.

Experience of combining marketing and engagement strategies and plans, with experience of stakeholder engagement and management in order to reach a wider audience/consumer/customer.

Extensive experience of project management and delivering ambitious plans on time, to budget and evaluating outcomes.

Significant digital marketing experience strategically and operationally with particular experience in maximising digital marketing tools including email marketing systems and paid and organic social.

About The Hub and Short Breaks service:
For over 20 years Norwood has run a Short Break service called Unity for young people on Sundays and during school holidays. Many families have benefited from this service, and it remains popular with families and local authority commissioners. There is a waiting list of children and young people across Barnet and Herts who wish to access this provision.
That’s why as part of our recently launched strategy, we’re expanding the Short Break Service offering, to support families and young people with a variety of choice and cohort-based opportunities including after school clubs. The opening of the Hub allows the expansion of activities throughout the week, term-time, and during school holidays, evenings and weekends.
With a recent refurbishment, we can now offer a location dedicated to supporting children throughout the week. The building has outdoor space, a sensory room, kitchen, activity rooms and multipurpose spaces which allow children the opportunity to thrive in a bespoke space for them.
The Children and Family Service Department will deliver an ambitious Whole Family Centred, Strengths and Needs Based Model to empower children, young people, and their families. This expert-led coordinated approach underpinned by robust governance and outcome and impact measures will seek to ensure families with a neurodivergent or neurodevelopmentally disabled child can realise their full potential and thrive. About the role:
This is one of a number of new vacancies being recruited as part of a dedicated team for the further development of the Hub and Short Breaks offering to extend the reach to more children and young people throughout the week.
As the Hub and Short Breaks Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, plus take the lead in the growth and development of the service to maximize the reach and opportunities for young people within the community. The role will ensure the service is compliant with Ofsted, offers a varied timetable with clear criteria for each club/activity, undertakes referrals and assessments and works collaboratively with wider Norwood colleagues to flex, grow and change to meet the ever-changing needs of the community.

Essential skills and experience:

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Accountability for delivering income through our high-value partners while driving partnership development and ensuring an excellent supporter experience.
· Set ambitious, strategic goals to grow and retain our highest-value partnerships. You will do this by setting and delivering robust engagement and retention programmes for these partnerships.
· Gain and maintain the buy-in of internal stakeholders (including the Senior Leadership Team), who will be crucial to the delivery and growth of our partnerships.

Strategy, finance, and reporting

· Communicate this strategy and drive fundraising at all levels.
· Ensure all activity and use of team resources are focused on taking Alzheimer’s Research UK towards a cure. This means activity should align with our ten-year strategy and organisational priorities.
· Manage annual income, expenditure budgets and targets for corporate partnerships alongside the SPDM. Prepare income projections and monitor income and expenditure, as well as developing measurable KPIs that translate into tangible partnership benefits.

Leading the team

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be involved in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s research strategy including our programme of grants, and our work to support increased patient and public involvement in research. They will work with the Director of Services & Evidence and Head of Evidence & Research to support the charity’s involvement with external research bodies and contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet our strategic objectives.
About You
We are looking for someone who has proven experience of delivering successful research funding and patient and public involvement research activities. The successful candidate must be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and comfortable working with operational performance metrics, and implementing strategies and objectives for the organisation. Ideally your background will be in health care or working in a medical charity and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent. Given this role will involve managing and providing leadership to the Research team, prior management experience would be an advantage. Whilst not essential, a knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis would be beneficial also.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will allow you to make a real difference to the lives of millions of people in the Middle East and North Africa. You will help to manage, maintain and increase income and engagement through the following key responsibilities:
·Work with the team to implement strategies for growing key areas of income and engagement with churches and individuals, maintaining prospect lists, communicating with churches to resource and increase engagement.
·To manage, motivate and support a diverse team in different geographical locations and working patterns.
·To assist with delivering the church partnership and media projects programme, inviting church leaders and churches to join, helping research, prepare and send project proposals, reports and associated resources.
·To analyse current church giving patterns and identify pathways to increase engagement, levels and forms of giving (including individual giving in conjunction with other team members).
·Support with high-level giving church relationships and work with the Engagement Officer to mobilise ambassadors and volunteers within churches to encourage prayer for the MENA and church giving.
·Oversee SAT-7’s presence at events and conferences to maximise opportunities for engagement and increased reach with existing and new supporters.
·To assist with identifying current and future engagement resources to inspire and mobilise supporter churches and wider opportunities with denominations and Christian networks.
·Lead regular one to ones and promote the process of SAT-7 UK’s personal development plans for team members throughout the year e.g. conducting appraisals and mid-year reviews.

This position will focus on delivery of the Preventing Intimate Partner Abuse (“PIPA”) course – comprising individual and group sessions - and working closely with Thames Valley Police. RISE has also developed a range of Out of Court Resolution interventions for a range of offences, which are delivered online and in person, which the postholder will deliver. These include group and one-to-one courses to address a range of specific types of offending, including domestic abuse, inappropriate sexual behaviours, hate crime, assault on emergency workers, as well as other types of offences, and any new interventions developed in the coming years. This may include acting as a single point of contact to secure the offender’s engagement, working alongside other partners to address the offender’s needs, with the aim of eliciting behaviour change and reducing reoffending
Groupwork/one-to-one delivery:
· Deliver a range of short interventions which include group work, one to ones, embedding in a multi-agency approach to domestic abuse in the area.
· Manage cases with a range of complex needs and behaviours.
· Ensure delivery is in accordance with tasks outlined in the RISE Domestic Abuse Perpetrator manual and process mapping.
· Undertake holistic assessments that identify risk and protective factors, and develop bespoke support plans.
· Adhere to relevant group work programme manuals and deliver programme sessions to ensure the integrity of programme delivery, which is overseen by the Team Leader.
· Apply specialised materials to support your delivery to racialised and marginalised communities.
· Be responsible and accountable for working with Team Leader to ensure risk is reviewed on a regular basis.
· Practitioners will comply with the appropriate audit standards when working with perpetrators in line with RESPECT requirements.
· Use motivational interviewing techniques, trauma-informed and strength-based approaches in building a range of therapeutic skills to engage with service users to address their abusive behaviour.

· Work closely with other professionals to ensure appropriate steps are taken to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person. Apply RISE’s escalation procedures.
· Be personally accountable for the completion of assessments, mid-way reports, and end of intervention reports, and ensure they are to a high standard.
· Provide support and consultancy to other professionals to ensure appropriateness of referrals and improve understanding on domestic abuse.

· Participate in and pass the necessary training to be able to deliver all interventions.

Integrating the Safety Support Service:
· Liaise and engage closely with the Domestic Abuse Safety Advisor or local victim services commissioned to increase the safety of partners, ex-partners and children of the servicer user to manage the risk and develop treatment goals.
· Prior to delivering Domestic Abuse interventions, liaise and share information with RISE Domestic Abuse Safety Officers or local Integrated Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVA) to ensure an integrated approach is applied to risk management.
· Attend monthly risk review meetings with Domestic Abuse Safety Advisor and Senior practitioners to ensure effective risk management procedures are always applied.
Out of Court Resolution (OOCR) courses:
· Deliver a range of Out of Court Resolution short courses online and in person.
· Ensure delivery is in accordance with tasks outlined in the RISE OOCR manual and process mapping.
· Adhere to course manual sessions and materials and ensure the integrity of programme delivery is always maintained, overseen by the Team Leader.
· Apply specialised materials to support your delivery to racialised and marginalised groups and adjust materials according to meet neuro-diversity needs, agreed by the Team leader.
· Use motivational interviewing techniques and strength-based approaches in building a range of therapeutic skills to engage with service users online and in person.

Recording and administrative tasks:
· Ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant data (attendance, feedback, mid-way and end of intervention reports) using systems provided and in line with performance standards.
· Ensure regular contact with the OOCR team, recording and reporting back offender compliance.
· Maintain an accurate audit trail of all relevant communication with partner organisations involved.
· Ensure completion of pre and post questionnaires in line with RISE’s Social Impact strategy.
· Contribute to the evaluation and evidencing of social impact, including questionnaires and service user case studies.
General tasks:
· Develop excellent relationships with customers and respond positively to their needs.
