Due to an internal promotion, Parkinson’s is looking for a Business Analyst with a proven track record of delivering complex change. You’ll understand that change programmes are about more than technical solutions and you’ll strive to include strategy, people, process and data in your analyses.

About the role

You’ll work with stakeholders at all levels to rationalise and prioritise solution requirements and evaluate options for improvement to our business processes. Using your in depth knowledge and stakeholder relationships you will play a key role in successful project delivery. 

Working with fellow business analysts in the practice and our wider delivery team, you’ll demonstrate the leadership and collaboration needed to align and deliver on project interdependencies.

• Elicit and manage functional and non-functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle using a variety of analysis techniques

• Analyse solutions available within and outside of the organisation to find the best-fit for our requirements, guiding stakeholders through evaluating cost/benefits

• Apply a range of analysis techniques and systems thinking to understand the change impacts of new platforms and processes in the stakeholder teams and the wider organisation

• Design and document efficient workflows and processes that use technology where appropriate

Role Context and Purpose

• You will be working in partnership with Kentown Support Nurses and the wider team to improve access to therapeutic support for families where there is a child who is receiving end-of-life care. Sessions may take place with adults in the family or children and young people.
• You will manage a caseload of referrals from the Kentown team. You will be working with the family to offer a holistic package of support tailored to their needs, improving wellbeing, building resilience, and developing coping strategies. The majority of sessions will be completed face-to-face within GM, out in the community, although virtual or phone sessions may also take place. Our counsellors employ a flexible approach, which will involve a mixture of open-ended and time-limited interventions.
• You will also be providing post-bereavement interventions to family members who have lost a child with a life-limiting condition. Post-bereavement support could be offered to the families you supported in this role, or you may begin work with new families (referred by the Kentown team).

Below are some examples of how our Therapeutic Support Service can help:

• Encourage clients to explore any of their thoughts, emotions, and feelings in a safe, non-judgemental space.
• Allow clients to vent their frustrations, however they chose to do this - shout, swear, cry, laugh, moan, or use art materials to express non-verbal communication.
• Signpost and inform clients about alternative or other appropriate services.
• Normalise feelings to help clients to reduce any guilt, shame, fear, and anxieties.
• Encourage and support clients to work towards acceptance of their family situation.
• Support clients in their choices.
• Provide space and time to think and talk together.
• Offer a professional and trusting relationship.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading on therapeutic interventions for the families on your caseload; working in a person-centred way to effectively meet the needs of individuals and the family unit. Counsellors will draw on a wide range of therapeutic approaches, adapting their style as needed, and engaging in continuous learning and improvement.
• Working as part of the team developing and contributing to the provision of services for families within the remit of the contract. This may include partnership working with other organisations providing services to families on your caseload, developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with other staff across Gaddum and with other professionals involved in family care (Kentown Support, CCN Team, CSC, schools, etc).
• Participation in the day-to-day running of Gaddum’s services in the Kentown Support Service. Using appropriate networks to raise awareness of the service within statutory, voluntary, and independent organisations. Supporting social work and other trainee placements when necessary.
• Provision of practical and emotional support to families that have been referred into the service, signposting and referring to local provision where appropriate. Also, liaising with and working alongside existing support groups.
• Adherence to record keeping and monitoring needs of the service. Maintaining privacy and confidentiality in line with Gaddum’s policies and procedures.
• Following Gaddum’s Safeguarding Policies and reporting any concerns regarding an individual’s safety. Promoting the work of Gaddum and safeguarding its good name and reputation at every opportunity. Being aware of personal safety and security when carrying out work and undertaking risk assessments where necessary.
• Maintaining a general understanding of the work of the whole organisation and attend staff meetings/events. Attending meetings with your line manager and accessing clinical and peer supervision. Participating in joint activities e.g. National awareness days, open days, and other promotional activities. Representing and promoting Gaddum when required.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties across South West London. Main purpose of post
The main purpose of the Grant Giving Coordinator is to lead the efficient and
transparent administration of the charity’s grant-making programmes, ensuring
that financial support is delivered to partner organisations in line with the
charity’s mission to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
The role is responsible for managing the full grant cycle—from application and
assessment to decision-making, monitoring, and reporting. The Grant Giving
Coordinator plays a key role in supporting applicants throughout the process,
maintaining accurate records, tracking impact, and ensuring that all activity
complies with internal policies, governance requirements, and charitable
objectives.
By coordinating funding processes that are accessible, accountable, and
outcomes-focused, this role helps to ensure that the charity’s resources are used
effectively to support cancer patients and their communities across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Programme Management
 Coordinate the end-to-end grant cycle, including application
management, eligibility checks, panel support, and award notifications.
 Maintain and update grant guidelines, application forms, and supporting
materials.
 Manage the grant database, ensuring accurate records of applications,
awards, reporting deadlines, and impact data.
 Respond to enquiries from individuals, and organisations applying for
funding.

Assessment & Reporting
 Assist in assessing applications against published criteria, and prepare
summaries and recommendations for grant panels or decision-makers.
 Monitor grant reporting deadlines and ensure grantees submit required
information.
 Support the evaluation of grant outcomes, including gathering feedback

Governance & Compliance
 Ensure the grant-making process aligns with the charity’s policies,

throughout all grant-giving activities.
 Prepare reports for internal teams, funders, and the Board as required.

Stakeholder Engagement
 Build strong, supportive relationships with grant applicants and
recipients.

About the Role

The Interim Head of Communications and Marketing will lead the operational planning, management and development of the College’s communications and marketing functions.

The Role

As our Fundraising and Events Assistant you will contribute to Yorkshire Cancer Research’s mission by enhancing brand awareness through supporting the Marketing and Fundraising teams and expanding regional outreach by delivering key events and campaigns throughout the year. Reporting to the Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will build strong relationships with event participants and fundraisers through excellent communication and customer service. You will also assist in maximising relevant opportunities to generate income for our charity via events and partnership opportunities.

Specifically, you will:

• Be the fundraisers’ representative and ‘champion’, working to deliver first class information about events, the charity and how money raised will help.
• Support event participants and fundraisers set up online giving pages, providing guidance, sending out merchandise and practical support as necessary.
• Keep the CRM database up to date, recording every contact with a supporter accurately and adhering to data protection regulations.
•  Support the event planning process by considering participant information needs pre-event, during and post-event. Proactively share ideas for the ideal stewardship (customer journey) with the events and marketing teams to secure their input and support.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure letters, leaflets and other communications (sent by email and/or post) accurately reflect the brand identity, convey key messages and are sent at the most appropriate times/touchpoints.
• Be responsible for stock control, maintaining an accurate inventory of all event equipment and its whereabouts, keep the events section of the stock cupboard tidy.
• Attend a number of Yorkshire Cancer Research and Community Fundraising events each year to support the successful delivery of the event and to gain an understanding of the needs and feedback of participants and their supporters.
• Maintain a record of event participant and fundraising data (sign-ups, attendees, funds raised, etc) and share with the wider team. 
• Assist the corporate managers with identifying new corporate relationships.
• Obtain and file photo permissions from events and community fundraisers in line with the charity’s procedures and GDPR obligations and highlight any potential PR opportunities.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be educated to minimum A-Level or equivalent, but a degree in an events, business or marketing related discipline is desirable.
• To have proactively worked to advance career or gather work experience through continued professional development relevant to the role and level.
• To have experience of working in the events industry and an understanding of what is involved with organising an event, including how to ensure events are safe and well managed. This experience may have been gained through a full-time role, a volunteering experience, or a degree/ equivalent qualification in events.
• To have customer service experience in a similar or related role. Experience of dealing with customer queries and providing excellent stewardship, going the extra mile to answer all queries in a polite and timely manner.
• To have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to use active listening skills, and write professionally and appropriately for a range of diverse audiences.
• To enjoy delivering excellent customer service and customer/supporter interaction, to be able to develop positive and professional relationships.
• To have excellent organisation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines. Able to work well in an event situation when timings and quick decision-making making is required.
• To be able to travel across the Yorkshire region.
• To have a full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points and the ability to drive the charity’s van.
• To be willing to work out-of-office hours (to attend events at weekends / evenings as appropriate).

About the role:

This is a varied role that would suit an individual who has sound knowledge in childcare legislation, advocacy and participation and is passionate about making meaningful relationships to achieve change.

We are offering this role on a fixed term basis for external applicants.  Internal staff would be offered a secondment opportunity to further develop skill sets/knowledge.  Approval from current line managers must be sought before applying.

The role will require you to be able to work flexibly, which will include evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of our children and young people.

Please note the successful candidate will require a full driving licence to travel around Rutland and the wider area.

Sense is recruiting for a Supporter Services Assistant to join our fantastic Engagement Team in Kings Cross, London on a hybrid basis.  

The successful applicant will play vital part in the Engagement Department and the charity as a whole – it makes sure that supporters have an outstanding experience of supporting Sense and know how much they are valued. Your daily task’s are varied with a mixture of in-and-outbound calling, combined with essential administrative tasks like income processing or capturing important information about Sense’s supporters and their motivations to support the charity.  

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Accurately processing fundraising income, including cheques and cash, vouchers (CAF, KKL) direct debits, payroll giving and from online donation platforms (Just Giving, Virgin Money Giving, Facebook) within agreed timescales and in line with provided procedures.
• Create or amend supporter records on Sense’s Raisers Edge database, ensuring that all interactions between charity and supporter etc are recorded accurately and in line with best practice GDPR.
• Identifying opportunities for supporters to further engage with Sense and promoting them as appropriate to help deliver Fundraising department targets (such as sharing a supporter story with our Comms team).
• Work with other fundraising teams to ensure relationships with supporters are managed effectively, both by responding to enquiries promptly and by working to the agreed supporter communications plan. There is also the expectation to attend other teams’ meetings i.e. Community, Events, Philanthropy to understand what activity is happening across the charity. 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience of working in a customer or supporter service environment
• Administrative experience in a busy office environment
• Experience of using Raiser’s Edge or similar Customer Relationship Management database
• Outstanding customer service, an excellent telephone manner and ability to understand team needs to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially when entering data.
• Good working knowledge of MS office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
