Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Work with the Board and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to assess capacity gaps across the organisation and how best to fill them.
- Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding and offboarding).
- Provide support, guidance, and advice for managers in conducting and concluding employee relations cases, including absence, performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring adherence to policy.
- Coordinate and administer company benefits (including health benefit), and research other ways to improve our employee experience.
- Create and manage organisation-wide and individual employee learning programmes.
- Be independent point of contact for entire team for all welfare and professional issues, providing guidance on support available.
- Support Synchronicity Earth’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Working Group.
- Review our staff handbook, and company HR policies and procedures ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect relevant legislation and best practice.
- Be first point of contact with HR & HSE consultants.
- Identify and implement (subject to budget) suitable HR systems that will help to automate Synchronicity Earth’s’ processes and lead to greater self-service of HR matters.
About you
Essential skills and experience
- Level 5 CIPD qualified.

About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to foster engagement between our charity and schools and kitchen teams seeking support to improve their school food. This is a significant and important role for our rapidly scaling charity, ensuring effective communication and engagement with schools, academies and stakeholders to maximise our impact.
You will be supported by our Director of Transformations, and work closely with our Senior Programme Managers, and the Director of Partnerships and Impact.
Your role will be critical to the successful delivery of both our core programmes which are delivered across England. As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.
The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. Hybrid working details

The Role

LSO Discovery is seeking a proactive, creative, thoughtful and highly organised individual to manage and support projects within the Community programme.
