For Head Office based roles, we typically work a minimum 2 days a week in the office. Our office space is wheelchair accessible and located in Hoxton, London, N1.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the Head of Partnerships and wider WFN team in delivering our fundraising strategy, stewarding high-value donor relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for income growth. 

The Partnerships Manager will work directly with some of WFN’s existing portfolio of 30 Major Donors made up primarily of Trusts, Family Foundations and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) supporters, with some Corporates. We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Officer to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will support the High Value Partnerships Manager and Community Fundraising Manager, both of which are already well-established income streams with lots of great potential. It’s a great opportunity to work across varied income streams including Corporate, Trusts & Grants, Community, Fundraising Events and Individual/Regular Giving.

Hours:  37 hours per week (negotiable for the right candidate)

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000
Reports to: Community Fundraising Manager  
Work location: Hybrid/remote. Office space in London Bridge, although entirely remote option is fine. Travel to partner meetings/events will also be required.

Purpose of the role

• Reporting to the High Value Partnerships Manager you will provide support across our two priority Fundraising streams – Community Fundraising (Community, Events and Individual/Regular Giving) and High Value Partnerships (Trusts, Grants, Corporate and Sponsorship).
• Conducting prospect research (Corporate and Trusts/Grants) creating a pipeline of targeted opportunities, and submitting applications for lower level funding
• Providing excellent relationship management to those in our community who fundraise for us, whether that’s as a Regular Giver or Marathon runner
• Providing support to the Manager planning Fundraising Events, recruiting participants, attending and cheering on our fundraisers and thanking our supporters
• Accountable for delivering our annual raffle and ongoing Lottery programme
• Support the wider Development team with admin relating to Fundraising

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience either in supporting the delivery of High Value partnerships or Community Fundraising. They will be able to demonstrate how they have researched partnerships and/or submitted funding applications, providing excellent stewardship and creating meaningful partnerships that lead to long term support for the charity.

The NVR practitioner will work with the parent/care giver predominantly, other members of the family who are impacted or experiencing the abuse from their sibling or grandchild, and if willing, with the young person causing harm.

Specialist Child to Parent Violence delivery:

• Advocate for the rights of children to be respected, heard and protected.
•  Deliver sessions for parents using Non Violent Resistance (NVR) techniques and child and family members, applying a systematic family approach to managing violence and abuse in the home.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide debt advice and money education on a case management basis and to support the provision of advice by volunteers. The post holder will be expected to manage their own cases and lead appointment sessions.

Ideally we are looking for someone with prior debt or social welfare experience, and who has experience of working with and supporting volunteers. However we will also consider employing someone as a trainee adviser if you are able to demonstrate that you possess the skills, maturity and determination to become proficient in this role.

We’re looking for a part-time Grants and Trusts Officer (2.5 days a week). Office or home based, they will be a vital member of our fundraising team, working closely with programme staff and the CEO to continue to grow grant funding for our work – shaping funding bids, managing grants and reporting, and building relationships with funders and funding networks. 

Purpose of role:

Increasing and diversifying the sources of grant funding for A Rocha UK’s work is key to our fundraising strategy. The Grants and Trusts Officer will play a key role identifying, securing, and managing grants from a range of sources, including small trusts, large foundations, and Church denominations. In doing so, they will work closely with programme staff , CEO and Finance Director to develop funding bids, and coordinate closely with other members of the fundraising team, such as the Major Donor Officer. They will also manage occasional legacies. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

• Lead on the development and implementation of our Individual Giving strategy, supported by the Head of Mass Participation and the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.
• Ensure all opportunities and future plans are in line with Winston’s Wish’s over-arching fundraising strategy to meet financial targets, organisational objectives and KPIs.
• Maintain an awareness of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK to ensure that Winston’s Wish remains up to date on key changes which are likely to impact on individual giving.

Generating Individual Giving Income

• Lead on and deliver a plan to increase individual giving income from streams including, but not exclusive to, direct mail, regular giving, legacies, in-mem and our charity lottery
• Effective use of KPIs to ensure decisions are driven by evidence and real-time data.
• Continuously analyse our income and supporter data to measure effectiveness of activities and return on investment.
• Work alongside our design agencies and in-house marketing team to develop and manage direct mail campaigns, including segmentation to ensure campaigns will be carefully targeted and designed to maximise income.
• Explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and increasing donations.
• Seek every opportunity to increase awareness of legacy giving to Winston’s Wish and monitor the effectiveness of these activities over time.
• Manage a growing portfolio of legacy enquirers with appropriate contact and timely solicitation of prospective legators including hosting events and tailored stewardship.
• Manage the stewardship and development of our regular giving programme including uplift campaigns and solicitation of new donors to agreed targets.

• Diligently maintain records of all interactions with supporters on Salesforce.
• Ensure all activities comply with appropriate legal, regulatory and fundraising good practice and with Winston’s Wish policies and standards.
• Keep a close eye on incoming donations to ensure they are coded correctly and that supporter data is accurately recorded in accordance with GDPR.
• Effective management and control of expenditure across all projects and campaigns in line with agreed expenditure budgets.
