We are looking for someone mature, motivated and caring to provide tailored person-centred support to our residents in their recovery journey. If you have a heart to see people overcome substance misuse - to reset, recover, and restore their lives - please join our dynamic team.

You will be providing support to men individually or in a group - men who are overcoming substance abuse issues, helping them to achieve their personal goals in all areas of life (behaviour, health, faith etc.). You will therefore have great inter-personal skills and the ability to implement firm but caring boundaries. In addition, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including updating records, checking leave and visit applications, and managing the Manor during weekends and overnight.

This is a part-time role on zero hours contract, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Summary of the Role

The Support Lead plays a key hands-on role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support within the Outreach Academy, CCM’s lifelong learning service. The Royal Meteorological Society is the UK’s professional and learned Society for Weather and Climate and is respected around the world for its contribution to meteorology.  The Society is a charity and its programmes of work include providing professional accreditation, developing educational resources and skills, producing scientific publications, holding public and professional meetings and events, giving advice to Government and policy makers, and a growing role in providing information to the public on the science of weather and climate change.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support an exciting project called the State of the Climate for the Agri-Food Sector, which we are delivering in partnership with the Met Office. This project aims to contribute to the evidence base of current impacts of climate change on the agri-food sector in the UK. This role is ideal for someone with strong research skills and an interest in weather and climate and the influence on the agri-food sector.

Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for the following but will be expected to meet with the project team once a month and come to the kick-off meeting and launch event. There is also scope for involvement in the communication and dissemination of the work throughout the program.

The responsibilities and timeline are set out as follows:

• Update the research protocol with the project team (Q1)
• Evidence and Data Synthesis from publicly available data sources and data provided by project partners (Q1):
  •  Carry out evidence synthesis
  •  Compile results from synthesis
  •  Share results with stakeholders
• Indicator co-production workshop (Q1)
  •  With the project team identify key stakeholders for an indicator workshop
  •  Share results from evidence and data synthesis to support the discussion
  •  Co-deliver the running of the workshop

• Develop Agri-Food Case Studies which will form part of a resource hub (Q2/Q3)

Required Skills and Competencies

The required skills and competencies that the Society view as important for this role are:

Essential:

• Hold or carrying out a research degree and be either a student or an early career researcher/professional (i.e. MPhil, MSc, PhD); Background or strong interest in agri-food, weather and climate is highly preferred.
• Experience in academic or applied research including with quantitative analysis. Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional documentation for external stakeholders
• Self-starter with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Confidence to chair and organise focus groups and workshop with stakeholders
• A friendly and open-minded approach, with strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with indicator development
• Skilled in programming in R and/or Python

Funding: The salary range is £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience. This is advertised as a full-time position; however, we are open to flexible arrangements. For example, the role could be structured as a secondment from industry or academia; or offered on a part-time basis for a set number of days per week.

The post-holder will be based at GMRC but work alongside TRC and MASH women’s services and Greater Manchester Pathfinder partnership, with service users who have experienced sexual trauma but who present with additional complex mental health needs.

These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.

Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.

Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.
At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.

We are recruiting a Support Technician (End User Computing)  who will be based in our office in London. This role could be an ideal opportunity for a recent college or university leaver. Work with the Design Officer to produce graphics and templates for digital channels.

Repurpose patient stories, blog posts, and booklets into engaging social-friendly formats. 

Ensure all content meets accessibility and consent standards. 

Social Media and Engagement 

Manage day-to-day posting across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, and any other relevant channels.

Work with our external social media agency to plan and deliver paid and organic campaigns.

Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and ensure our online tone is kind, inclusive, and supportive.

Track performance through analytics and share monthly reports with the team. 

Collaboration 

Work closely with the Director of Engagement and Design Officer on campaign planning.

Liaise with colleagues across Fundraising, Patient Services, and Information to gather stories and create relevant content.

Support filming or photography days for PR and awareness campaigns.

Contribute to monthly content planning and creative meetings across all communications and marketing activity. 

Travel and Filming 

Visit hospitals, patient events, and partner locations to film or photograph stories that highlight our impact.

Maintain safe and respectful filming practices, including full consent and safeguarding compliance.

Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car (mileage reimbursed). 

Person Specification 

Essential

• Strong experience creating engaging digital content for social media.
• Confident filming and editing short-form video using mobile or DSLR.
• Excellent written skills and understanding of tone for different audiences.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar.
• Experience managing or contributing to social accounts for an organisation or brand.
• Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car. 

Desirable

• Experience working within a charity, healthcare, or community organisation.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
• Familiarity with paid social media or Google Ad Grants. 
• Basic photography and graphic design experience.
• Understanding of SEO and analytics tools (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, Looker Studio).

Providence Row works with those affected by homelessness and those vulnerably housed in London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice and progression programmes. Through our Reset Outreach & Referral Service (RORS), we support people in Tower Hamlets affected by drugs and alcohol. Our team takes a harm-reduction approach: meeting people where they are, reducing stigma, and helping them access treatment, health services, and wider community support.

This role is an opportunity to make a real difference—whether you bring experience from substance use services or transferable skills and a passion for supporting people.

The ideal candidate

To be considered for this role, you should be able to:

• Provide outreach and in-reach support to people affected by substance use across Tower Hamlets, including those who may have a history of rough sleeping, be vulnerably housed, or otherwise disconnected from mainstream services.

• Carry out person-centred assessments and work collaboratively with service users to develop support and recovery plans.

• Make timely and appropriate referrals to specialist services (e.g. treatment, health, housing, and social care) to ensure holistic support.

• Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies to coordinate joint support and reduce barriers to engagement.

• Promote harm reduction and recovery-focused approaches, ensuring that people are empowered in their choices.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Reset service.
