You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Carers Time Off sitting service, which enables unpaid carers to have a break from their caring role through providing volunteers to sit with the person with care needs.
This service is delivered wholly by volunteers, and you will liaise with carers, carry out assessments for clients and match with volunteers. You will be responsible for the recruitment of and ongoing support for volunteers.
You must drive and have access to own vehicle.
This role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of carers' and those they care for while collaborating with local partners and working within a dedicated team, as well as providing opportunities for people to get involved with and give back to their local community. Rape Crisis South London is looking for a skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of the South West London (SWL) Child Sexual Abuse Early Emotional Support Service for the CYP service. Working closely with the NHS and Schools you will manage a small specialist counselling team ensuring high-quality, trauma informed support for our young people who have experienced sexual violence. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Safeguarding legislation for children and adults, as well as child development.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to develop partnerships with schools, families, funders and other key stakeholders. You will hold a relevant professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and be registered with the BACP/UKCP or equivalent. You will have significant experience of working therapeutically with children and young people, ideally in the contexts of trauma or abuse.
Responsible to the Clinical Lead for CYP you will also provide additional support in the management and allocation of referrals, as well as provide additional support and advice as required to the wider CYP Service.

Main purpose of the job
A fantastic opportunity has emerged to join Bond’s communications team, as its new Media Adviser.
This position will add capacity to Bond’s media function to help build Bond’s media presence, support the delivery of Bond’s strategy and support the sector in championing humanitarian assistance and development that works to help those who need it the most. This post has two main purposes. Firstly, to coordinate and engage with communications and media specialists across the sector to address shared issues and achieve shared objectives together. Secondly, to maximise opportunities to achieve regular media coverage to help deliver Bond’s strategic objectives and services in appropriate sector press, in support of Bond’s strategy, positioning and reputation.
This role will work collaboratively across the organisation and the NGO sector and will help deliver a planned, strategic, consistent, and integrated approach to our media work.
Main responsibilities
Press office (30%)
- Act as prime contact for enquiries from press or other media representatives
- Identify matters on which collective action/comment from Bond and/or the wider sector may or may not be required
- Ensure consistent messaging around Bond’s media work and campaigns or sector initiatives in which Bond is engaged
- Write and sell-in collective letters, statements, opinion pieces, features, and responses to print, online and broadcast media
- Updating Bond’s press lists while developing and maintaining good relationships with key journalists in relevant media
- Record and report media coverage of Bond and parliamentary stakeholders, using Bond’s media monitoring platform to track coverage
- Use Bond’s media monitoring platform to track government announcements and parliamentary stakeholder activity
- Monitor and update the Bond team on relevant news stories and media trends
- Support the organisation of background briefings with journalists, press conferences and oversee media interviews
- Support media briefings to the chief executive and other Bond spokespeople around media interviews

Leading Bond’s media and PR work (20%)
- Ensure regular coverage of Bond’s work and services in appropriate sector media to support delivery of Bond’s organisational strategy
- Work closely with colleagues across Bond to develop and implement media and PR outputs for Bond products, services and marketing.

- Source opportunities to share Bond’s media coverage via Bond’s different channels including social media and in relevant Bond working groups

We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic and articulate professional fundraiser to drive forward our emerging major donor programme. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all HNW activity ensuring that:
- Appropriate levels of communication are established and maintained

Purpose of the Role
The Policy Coordinator plays a key role in delivering high-quality, intersectional policy analysis and supporting Imkaan’s strategic advocacy. Grounded in Black feminist and anti-racist values, the role ensures our work reflects the lived experiences of Black and Minoritised women and girls.
The postholder will draft policy positions, respond to consultations, produce briefings, and monitor political and sector developments.
Working closely with the Policy and Research Manager and wider team, they will help shape national debates and influence government and stakeholder engagement.

1. Policy Research, Analysis, and Development

Monitor and assess political, legislative, and social developments relevant to violence against women and girls (VAWG), with a particular focus on the experiences and needs of Black and Minoritised women and girls.

About Action for ME
Action for ME is the only charity in the UK providing support, including healthcare, to people of all ages affected by ME. The charity was founded by Sue Finlay in 1987 and since then has been taking holistic approach so we can make an impact on multiple fronts - from amplifying the voices of people affected by ME in Government and leading on breakthrough research, to providing "lifeline" support and unique healthcare services on a daily basis.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), sometimes referred to and diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), is a chronic, fluctuating disease, causing symptoms such as post-exertional malaise (PEM), sleep problems, problems with thinking and memory (brain fog), pain and crushing fatigue. There are an estimated 1.3 million people living with ME or ME-like symptoms, including PEM, in the UK alone.
Even in its so-called mildest form, ME can have a significant impact on an individual’s life, and not just on their health. A lack of understanding and awareness about ME means patients can experience disbelief, and even discrimination, from friends, family, health and social care professionals, employers and teachers.
For the first time there is an increased awareness of post viral illness because of the Covid -19 pandemic. After decades of neglect this offers Action for ME an opportunity to accelerate our work for people with ME in a way we have never been able to do before. The intent of everything we do is to pursue positive impact for the lives, rights, and futures of people affected by ME.
Job purpose
This role will deliver an exceptional supporter experience to our donors, building and maintaining strong relationships with our supporters. Working closely with other members of the fundraising and communications teams, you will deliver our supporter journey, maintain regular communication with donors and be an integral part of our fundraising campaigns and appeals.

- Work closely with the Fundraising Operations Manager and the team to support the growth of income streams, including but not limited to, individual giving, Gift Aid, legacies, trading, community fundraising and membership.
- Work with the communications team on the delivery of digital communications, including social media and e-communications for a diverse range of audiences.
- Play a key role in fundraising appeals and campaigns including our yearly Big Give Christmas Challenge, Summer Appeal, Thanking Campaign and any other fundraising initiative or project as directed by the Fundraising Operations Manager or Director of Fundraising.
- Ensure excellent supporter care and maintenance of accurate database records.
- Create inspiring donor communications, including stories and impact from our wider work (support & healthcare services, research and policy work)
- Work closely with the Philanthropy Manager to identify potential major donors.
- Develop innovative and creative ways of widening our supporter base and increasing donations.

- To attend and contribute constructively to team meetings and other meetings as required.
- Supervise fundraising volunteers as required.
- Occasional attendance at fundraising events.
- To positively promote the work and activities of Action for ME at all times.
- To contribute to the team’s overall strategy, ongoing workplan and annual planning.
- To undertake any other reasonable activity in line with the responsibilities of the post as requested by the Fundraising Operations Manager, Director of Fundraising or the Chief Executive.

Person specification
Experience and knowledge
- Minimum 2 years previous fundraising experience
- Demonstrable skills in stewarding supporters and donors.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for work, including basic excel functions, basic formulas and list tools.
- Experience of using a CRM database, preferably Raiser’s Edge
- Proven experience of effective donor stewardship approaches
Skills and Behaviours
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including creating engaging donor communications
- Ability to work methodically, managing and prioritising a varied workload.
- Ability to use own initiative, work independently and to work well in a remote team.
- An understanding of data protection including UK GDPR related to fundraising
