Role

In this exciting yet challenging role as Trainer, you will train prison staff across London to understand the impact of sexual violence on male, boy, and non-binary prisoners, by raising awareness of sexual violence within prisons and equipping staff with the tools to respond appropriately. You will be establishing and strengthening referral pathways for survivors in London prisons, and gather key insights to inform future service provision and systemic change.

No day is the same with the variety of responsibilities as a Learning and Development Officer at SSAFA. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless and enriching learning experience for employees, working closely with the Learning & Organisational Development Manager and the broader People team to foster a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.

Age International is recruiting for a Senior Policy Adviser with a proven background in achieving impact, for a 12-month maternity cover contract, working 28 hours per week. Salary advertised is FTE - 35 hours.

Jangala is seeking a technically adept and impact-driven person to generate insights from our internet inclusion projects across the UK and internationally. This role will be central in demonstrating the outcomes of Jangala’s programmes, improving our products and support to partners, and contributing to our organisational learning as we aim to deliver socially impactful internet to  4 million people by 2030.

This is a unique opportunity for a candidate equally comfortable designing and conducting qualitative field surveys and focus groups  as they are working with large-scale datasets. Details of the role

You will design and deliver Jangala’s monitoring, evaluation and data analysis activities. The role will report to Jangala’s Head of Programmes and be a member of the Jangala’s programmes department which leads on the delivery of Jangala’s donor-funded programmes in the UK and internationally, deploying Jangala’s award-winning technology and developing partnerships with community groups and grassroots organisations, charities, local authorities and the United Nations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing Jangala’s M&E and data analysis systems across UK and international projects, aligning with our 2030 Vision and Theory of Change, as well as donor requirements

• Leading the design and implementation of both quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, including structured surveys, stakeholder interviews and case studies, ensuring methods are ethical and appropriate for diverse contexts

• Developing pipelines and scripts (primarily in Python) to analyse and interpret device telemetry data - eg. usage patterns, uptime, throughput and context-specific behaviours - across tens of thousands of devices operating in a variety of contexts

• Integrating qualitative findings with telemetry and survey data to develop a holistic understanding of impact, progress against indicators and our Theory of Change

• Collecting and analysing data and feedback from partners, end users and stakeholders eg. interviews, surveys and the development of case studies

• Collaborate with delivery partners and external stakeholders  to carry out M & E activities and report creation

• Ensuring the secure and organised storage of M&E data and supporting system improvements for capture and access

• Supporting fundraising and communications through evidence-based storytelling and impact narratives

The person we're looking for

We are open to applicants from a variety of professional backgrounds, but the ideal candidate will have a strong combination of data analysis skills, experience in M&E or social research, and a passion for digital inclusion and social impact.

• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Kobo Toolbox, Dovetail or SPSS

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences in reports and presentations

• An understanding of data protection principles, and an appreciation of ethical considerations of M & E activities involving underserved communities, including in conflict-affected countries

Hours: Full time – 36.25 hours per week worked over five days, between the hours of 8am–6pm

The Jockeys Education & Training Scheme is a successful registered charity (Number 1149018) that provides career coaching, mentoring and practical career development training to professional jockeys, recently retired professional jockeys and  beneficiaries of the Injured Jockeys Fund.
This year is the 30th anniversary of the charity and the past twelve months have been the busiest in our history.  Our highly regarded, long serving Manager is leaving after 23 years and as we embark on an exciting new chapter, we are seeking a commercially minded and dynamic Manager to continue our vital work with the jockey community.
This post reports to the board of trustees with regular meetings in person and on zoom/teams.

JETS General Manager Job Description:

Industry 

• Work collaboratively with partners, The Professional Jockeys Association and The Injured Jockeys Fund.

• Attend industry and stakeholder meetings and conferences. 

• Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders

• Work with The Jockey Training and Development Management Group and The Jockey Coaching Programme to ensure ‘joined-up’ and quality delivery of training and development to all claiming jockeys.

• Continue to embed dual career and CPD into the training and learning delivery for this cohort of jockeys and full professional jockeys. 

Building Jockey Relations 

•    To represent JETS at both Flat and Jump race meetings on a regular basis 
•    To attend Licence courses and CPD workshops at The British Racing School and The National Horseracing  College, and other venues.
•    To deliver drop-in IAG sessions on a regular basis at (one) of the IJF rehab centres 
•    To pro-actively build and maintain a close rapport with current jockeys, particularly during injury periods and maintain contact with jockeys’ post-race riding career.

Career Coaching and Training

• To conduct face-to-face (preferable) or remote introductory session and follow up sessions when needed to produce dual career and career development action plans as relevant 

• To advise on the production of suitable development and training/development course action plans, to research, advise and assist candidates in finding and accessing the most suitable course for their development.

• To put together and promote in-house training courses (using outside consultants/facilities as required.  For example, group media training, bespoke courses for candidates to access. 

• Signpost candidates where necessary to the relevant jockey support network organisation.

Recruitment/Job Search 

•    To assist with and compile CV’s for candidates and assist with applications and letters of application/cover letters. 
•    To conduct/arrange bespoke Interview Technique Consultations as required. 
•    To provide general advice on creative job search/networking/work experience/shadowing/Friends of JETS 
•    To monitor and advertise on JETS Job Board relevant racing and equestrian vacancies.  Liaise directly with employers, processing enquires from employers with potential vacancies.  Keep relevant candidates informed of opportunities. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the membership team at Kew at a time of growth, and this role is at the heart of the action. This role is responsible for seeking out new opportunities for growth across all membership income streams (acquisition, retention, gift aid, secondary spend, donations) and is responsible for developing and implementing new initiatives to reach ambitious growth targets.

This is a great opportunity to work in a successful and well-established membership scheme, bringing innovation and test-and-learn approaches into our long-term planning. 

The successful candidate will have significant experience working at a manager level in a membership environment and will be familiar with the principles of running successful acquisition and retention initiatives. They will be an astute income generator with proven experience in achieving commercial outcomes.

They will be a strong project manager with experience working in complex environments and managing multiple stakeholders, as well as having strong analytical skills – being able to bring data to life to provide meaningful insights to help guide us in making good decisions on which initiatives will generate strongest growth.

A little bit about the role 

The trusts fundraiser role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.

Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.

We are now looking for a trusts fundraiser to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience in building relationships and securing income, helping us to build relationships with new trust funders while stewarding effectively our current trust and foundation relationships.

The successful candidate will work closely with the head of fundraising and the fundraising manager to implement Frontline’s annual fundraising plan, taking specific responsibility for researching, building relationships with, writing persuasive proposals to and securing income from new trust and foundation funders, while also providing excellent stewardship and reporting to current funders. The fundraising team is supported by the marketing, events and communications staff of the external relations division.

Some key responsibilities include:

• To develop a pipeline of potential trust funders through prospect research, the development of strong relationships, and writing of persuasive, creative and inspiring applications. 
• To arrange meetings and engagement opportunities with new funders, including ensuring that other Frontline staff are involved in supporting applications and pitches where appropriate. 
• To account manage a portfolio of existing trust supporters, providing excellent stewardship and planning and writing high quality grant and funding reports in line with reporting deadlines. 
• To work closely with other teams at Frontline, particularly the fellowship team and evaluation team, to develop proposals and reports, bring funders closer to our work and help inspire a culture of fundraising across the charity.

A little bit about you 

You will be an experienced fundraiser, with experience in securing grants from trusts and foundations in particular. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, target-driven and passionate about delivering persuasive cases for support through crafting creative and imaginative funding proposals.

We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. We are seeking an Education Lead to create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work. The post holder will lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education.

Purpose of job

To lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education. Create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work.

Main Duties

1. Programme Development and Delivery

• Lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s education programme, in collaboration with the Director of Programmes and Evaluation and other colleagues
• Build on our learning from past and existing activities across Wikimedia UK and the wider movement to develop and roll out a new Wikimedia and information literacy programme for the UK’s secondary school sector; adapting this for the four nations as appropriate
• In conjunction with other Programmes staff, support the delivery of information literacy projects within higher education, through existing and new strategic partnerships as well as smaller projects and interventions such as Wikimedia in the Classroom courses
• Develop and deliver a range of information literacy activities
• Seek opportunities for new partnerships within the education sector, and grow existing relationships with potential delivery partners, for example within the cultural sector
• Work with the Development team and other staff to identify and follow up funding opportunities for existing or potential projects
• Support other staff within the Programmes team in their own work with the education sector

2. Sector Advocacy

• Promote the importance of media and information literacy skills to digital citizenship and civic engagement, and demonstrate Wikimedia’s value in developing those skills through running targeted interventions and disseminating our research and outcomes
• Advocate for a strong focus on media and information literacy skills in schools and university curricula, and work with other staff, partners and allies to campaign for public policy initiatives and investment to support these skills across society

3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact

• Run and evaluate the pilots of our work in schools
• Report regularly on programme plans, outputs and outcomes, in collaboration with other staff in the Programmes team
• Handle documentation and record all relevant programme metrics. Update CRM records for partnerships, volunteers and activities

4. Communication and Dissemination

• Write blog posts, create case studies, and generally contribute to the promotion and dissemination of our work and impact, in collaboration with the Communications team
• Engage in public speaking opportunities on behalf of Wikimedia UK in promoting our work, as required
• Engage with other Wikimedia organisations, sharing our education work and peer-learning

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead and grow our corporate fundraising programme. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to cultivate and steward existing partnerships while identifying new opportunities for multi-year collaborations.
