LEGACY FOCUSSED RELATIONSHIP MANAGER


Salary: £32,000 - £34,500 per annum

Reports to: Divisional Manager

Department: ?Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement

Contract: 12 month fixed-term contract / secondment

Hours: ?35 hours per week (we are open to Compressed Hours)

Location: Home-based (England). Candidates must live either in or within 50 miles of the patch which covers half of Essex, Kent and Sussex. Candidates must be willing to work unsociable hours, travel extensively and stay away from home as required. Home office space with secure storage required. Full clean driving licence required.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Legacy Focussed Relationship Manager. We need you to acquire, develop and steward supporters through a legacy journey while optimising the value they bring to Cancer Research UK in both financial contribution and advocacy for our cause.

What will I be doing?

  • Ensuring each supporter has a stewardship plan in place which best fits their motivations, utilising the cross-organisation portfolio of products and engagement opportunities to raise awareness of CRUK's impact and relevance

  • Events planning for Legacy networking events

  • Using specialist Legacy knowledge and awareness of best practice in the sector to maximise Legacy supporter experience

  • Planning and delivering appropriate reward & recognition to increase loyalty, income and longevity with supporters

  • Working with the Divisional Manager to support the creation and delivery of relevant strategies that build better and longer lasting relationships to increase lifetime income

  • Supporting the development of a robust prospect pipeline of opportunities, identifying and cultivating leads with a strong focus on lifetime value to CRUK, re-engaging lapsed supporters and generating potential leads

  • Achieving agreed in year and longer-term targets, including progression along the pipeline and increasing propensity to give

  • Preparing and delivering financial reports and commentary for in year and long-term performance

  • Update and maintain all records on supporter databases.

What skills are you looking for?

  • Experience and understanding of working within a Legacy and community fundraising environment

  • Experience of working unsupervised, with the ability to drive and generate own workload

  • Ability to understand CRUK's vision, purpose, and achievements, sharing this knowledge to motivate and inspire supporters

  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills with the ability to motivate and influence supporters

  • Proven ability to generate new ideas, adapt style and approach to meet the needs of different supporters or customers

  • A solution focussed approach to enable supporters or customers to overcome challenges and maximise fundraising with the confidence to take calculated risks

  • Awareness and/or knowledge of community fundraising

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (face to face, written and phone)

  • Exceptional time management, prioritisation and planning skills

  • Understanding of sector best practice and relevant fundraising / charity legislation.
