With a focus on removing barriers and reducing stigma surrounding seeking support, our strategy empowers individuals, communities, and faith leaders.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team and lead the implementation of 'Your Voice Matters.' Collaborating closely with our Director of Support Services and fellow Betknowmore colleagues, you will oversee the delivery of workshops, facilitate focus groups, and participate in community engagement events. Supported by our partnership with The Faiths Forum for London, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships within the Black community to maximize the project's impact over the next two years.

This position is primarily home-based, with regular travel across Greater London as required. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary between £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include a pension scheme and generous work/life balance. This is a fixed-term appointment for a period of two years, subject to satisfactory role performance.

• Deliver essential education on the potential impact of gambling and associated harms

Established in 1950 through the endowment of its founder, Angus Acworth, The Leche Trust is an independent funder dedicated to supporting charities in the performing arts and heritage conservation sectors across the UK. With an annual distribution of approx. £240,000 in small grants, the Trust plays a vital role in nurturing cultural heritage and artistic endeavours. As part of its ongoing commitment to excellence, the Trust is transitioning to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2024.

As the sole employee of The Leche Trust, the Grants Director will spearhead the Trust's operations and day to day management, providing invaluable support to the Trustees while managing relationships with external stakeholders and funding networks. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in administering grants, overseeing governance and secretarial duties, managing financial administration, and facilitating effective communication both internally and externally.

Example of responsibilities:

• Manage the grant programme and smaller funds for conservation bursaries and research projects.
• Review and process grant applications, compile final grant recommendations for board review and notify applicants of decisions.
• Oversee grant contracts, payments and ongoing communications with grantees.
• Conduct light touch monitoring of funded projects and share insights with trustees to inform future strategy.
• Prepare meeting agenda and papers in consultation with the Chair of Trustees.
• Record accurate minutes of meetings and manage administrative tasks related to governance.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor expenditure, liase with auditors and investment managers to facilitate financial reporting and management.
• Respond to all enquires as required.

• Collaborate with other grant-making charities on ad hoc projects.

The Grants Director requires an ability to work independently, self-direct and prioritise.

We're looking for someone who's experienced in grant making process and systems, who also has knowledge of good practice in charity administration and governance. They will require excellent communication skills and have some experience working directly with a board of trustees. We're also looking for someone who has a good understanding of either the UK performing arts sector or the UK heritage conservation sector.

The role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support the Executive Director and senior leadership team to become more effective and strategic in their work. They will provide support to the leadership and governance of the organisation, working closely with the Executive Director, Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, Director of Finance and Operations and other team members as required to provide high-quality administrative and communications support to the organisation. The Executive Administrator will build strong relationships across GGF’s global team. The candidate profile.

The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They have experience dealing with administrative processes and office administration, especially in a non-profit, remote organisation. They will have skills to give, receive and work with feedback constructively. They must be meticulous with exceptionally strong follow-up and follow-through skills and have the ability to work under high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies with experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe, in a virtual environment. 

They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. 

English fluency is a must.

The Role

The Role

Reporting to the Compliance Lead, the Compliance Officer will drive the development of an improved Compliance culture throughout the charity whilst ensuring that we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Acting as a knowledge expert on compliance and promoting a culture of compliance within the charity in relation to data protection, fundraising and the provision of support services, by the provision of advice, guidance, internal communications and training.

About the role

Alzheimer’s Society’s Safeguarding and Quality team are looking for a Senior Quality Safeguarding Officer who will provide expert safeguarding advice, audit and quality assurance support in relation to safeguarding across Alzheimer’s Society, enabling our people to provide excellent, safe services to people affected by dementia.  Working in a team of Quality Safeguarding Officers, the senior officer will take a leading role in holding and managing more complex caseload, providing support and expert advice to the team and deputising for the manager as required. 

Senior Quality Safeguarding Officers will be safeguarding specialists with a strong knowledge base and competency in managing complex environments related to safeguarding in practice. They will be skilled in the development, delivery and implementation of quality assurance functions to ensure that safeguarding is of the highest quality. They will support teams delivering activities which support the Society’s understanding of the quality of the services it delivers to people affected by dementia to support in the delivery of excellence.

About you

This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant safeguarding experience, enhance safeguarding knowledge and learn new skills that can be used for career progression. 

You will have:

- Experience of working within a safeguarding framework, an understanding of safeguarding and associated legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, and an ability to relate them to practice.
