Role Summary
The Fundraising team is responsible for establishing and stewarding national donor relationships with high net-worth individuals, Trusts and Foundations, and some corporate partnerships. This is a relatively new team with an exciting challenge; to imbed exceptional new business and donor stewardship practices into the charity’s way of working. Having had the ongoing generous support of a single donor for many years, the team has worked on diversifying the charity’s income and is looking to grow and build on these relationships and develop new and more income generating partnerships.
The interim Head of Philanthropy will report into the Director of Fundraising (currently being recruited) and will be responsible for managing a Philanthropy Manager and the Donor Relations Manager. Further investment in this vital team is also planned. The Director of Fundraising will sit on the Senior Leadership Team.
Income generated through this team will contribute towards supporting the social mobility of disadvantaged young people across the UK. Speakers For Schools believe that every young person should be supported to achieve their potential.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Research, qualify and actively seek out new funding opportunities, establishing and ultimately managing a dynamic flow of prospects. Demonstrating clear, timely progression in a pipeline portfolio.
- Develop relationships with donors and other major funding partners, raising high-value, multi-year donations.
- Build relationships with new and existing senior volunteers including members of our Board, providing support to the (fundraising) Development Committee to advance prospect and donor relationships.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure our funders see the impact of their support and are kept updated about ways for them to stay and increase their involvement.
- Work in partnership with the Development and Programme Directorates to ensure joined up solutions are in place and a seamless customer partner journeys are in place.
- Write persuasive proposals, reports and other engagement materials that clearly communicate the impact and importance of a donor’s commitment to our work.
- Pitch compelling partnership opportunities through presentations, visits, and personal conversations with potential donors.
- Use and update the CRM system (Salesforce) to ensure new business and donor activity reflect work being undertaken and progression of all relationships.
- Support the delivery of events such as dinners hosted by members of our Board and senior volunteers.
- Manage and inspire the Fundraising Team

About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School Chef Educator programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery. The School Chef Educator programme is a 10 week training programme for school kitchen staff, covering topics such as Reducing Food Waste, and Food Education. It is delivered in a blended learning format, through a mix of in-person training, bitesize webinars, and our online learning website.
You will be supported by our Director of Transformations, and manage our Chef Trainers who deliver our School Chef Educator Programme. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor, to identify and liaise with suitable funding partners, academies and schools, and ensure we are monitoring and evaluating our programme delivery to evidence it’s impact and ensure quality delivery across the cohorts that take part.
Your role will oversee our School Chef Educator Programmes, delivered across England. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. An average week in this role might see you attending meetings with new partners to secure support for new programmes, sourcing venues for training days, scheduling programme delivery dates, identifying and contacting schools in our programme delivery areas to sign up their kitchen teams to our programme, developing new content on our learning management system, attending webinars our Chef Trainers are delivering, and supporting Chef Trainers with our in-person kick off sessions, and graduation celebrations.

Key responsibilities:
● To work with the Director of Transformations to ensure that all programme delivery is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.
● To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure a high quality and consistent standard of programme delivery.
● Coordinate and oversee all programme activities, including booking venues, scheduling, logistics, and managing Chef Trainer workload.
● Work closely with the Director of Transformations, Director of Impact and Partnerships and the School Engagement Manager to assess, cost and propose suitable programmes of support for schools, multi-academy trusts and caterers interested in our School Chef Educator Programme.
● Working with the School Engagement Manager, attend and contribute to meetings with Senior Leadership of prospective participating schools and academies.
● Liaise and manage relationships with Senior Leadership and Programme Sponsors, being the key contact for operational delivery of programmes.
● To work alongside the Director of Transformations and Director of Partnerships & Impact to ensure that service level agreements are agreed with partners and that our delivery matches the agreements.
● To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Director of Transformations, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery.
● At all times to ensure that our training programmes are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.
● Working with the School Engagement Manager, to identify suitable schools for our funded training programmes, ensuring a high uptake of available places on our funded training programmes.
● Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme.
● To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and our Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.
● Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School Chef Educator programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories.
● Maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant participant, partner and engagement information.
● Collaborate with the Chef Trainers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of participants on our programmes.
● Overseeing project planning and execution for the continued expansion of the roll-out of the School Chef Educator training programme - this will involve being organised and keeping the project on track, working with internal and external parties.
● Assist in the delivery of programmes where necessary, providing support and guidance to the Chef Trainers as needed.
● Working with the Chief Innovation Officer, the Chef Trainers across all our programmes and the wider Chefs in Schools network to identify current and future skills requirements for the school kitchen workforce.
● Developing and/or commission relevant training materials to keep our programme up to date and develop new programmes that complement our organisational strategy.
● Plan, and manage the continued iterative development of our School Chef Training programme. Lead on programme design, monitoring performance and adjusting our approach as necessary for future cohorts.
● Line manage the Chef Trainers, lead on hiring, training and managing any future staff required as our programme offering grows.
● Maintain and manage our Learning Management System, and Learning App, ensuring good version control, user management, and digital legal compliance.

This role will see the successful candidate manage and develop a portfolio of successful national events. You will be involved in all aspects of the project management cycle from marketing and participant recruitment to supporter stewardship and race day logistics. With support of the Senior Fundraising Manager (Events & Community) you will prepare and track budgets for your assigned events and continuously look for opportunities to improve income and participant retention.

Experience
Experience is sought in the following areas:
· General administration in a busy office environment, ideally with a dispersed workforce working in the office and at home throughout the UK.

· Processing confidential information about staff and partners in compliance with GDPR.
· Working with international partners would be ideal but not essential, including multiple cultures and currencies.

Prostate Cancer Research UK - Senior Corpoate Partnership Executive

Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a an experienced, dynamic and driven Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive. The role will take a lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, developing and managing a pipeline of strategic corporate partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work.
Prostate Cancer Research aims to develop and deliver breakthrough medicines and treatments to achieve a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer. The charity believes that it is only through research that we can build a future in which no family will have to fear losing a loved one to prostate cancer. In the last four years the charity has expanded the amount of research it funds by four times.
Since 2020, PCR has significantly increased its work with corporate partners and associated income. A core driver for this has been their collaboration with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare-related companies. This is a newly created and integral role within the Partnership Fundraising team to build on this work and will be key to identifying and nurturing relationships with prospective corporate partners, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective partners.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with corporate partners (with experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income), understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners. Experience of developing and managing at least five-figure partnerships with pharmaceutical and healthcare-related companies would be an advantage.
Finally, candidates must have a passion for securing funding that will help improve the lives of people with prostate cancer and a commitment to advancing healthcare through strategic partnerships and collaboration.

EVAW’s policy manager plays a critical role in delivering EVAW’s work, including developing policy proposals and positions across a broad range of areas related to violence against women and girls, to inform and support our campaigning aims. Working independently, the post-holder will support our evidence-based campaigning, generate and contribute to critical policy discussions, and support the organisation’s broad lobbying and influencing strategies.
Key tasks include staying up to date with the VAWG policy landscape, producing briefings and reports, identifying key and emerging policy areas, collecting relevant evidence, and building EVAW’s responses to inform our campaigns – often through engagement with members and stakeholders.

You will be tenacious in your prospect research, and comfortable to package up creative propositions and compelling proposals tailored to each organisation's objectives.

Job Profile
Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.
You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income and community outreach targets. This newly created position of Relationship Fundraising Manager is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative fundraising team as we look to develop major donor fundraising further.
The role will be responsible for overseeing all individual donor relationships, with a focus on major gifts. This includes developing and implementing a major donor strategy, as well as assisting the Head of Fundraising with corporate fundraising.
