We are looking for a creative and proactive Communications & Digital Associate to join our London-based team. SEEAC is a non-profit organisation that provides community-based support, especially to migrants, refugees and others facing marginalisation.

This role provides vital welfare advice, casework, and safeguarding support, including for those affected by hate crimes.

We're looking for someone with 3+ years’ experience in community or non-profit work, strong knowledge of UK welfare systems, and fluency in English and at least one ESEA language.

Benefits

£29,120 - £30,576 per annum FTE (full-time equivalent) pro rata plus pension contribution. Flexible homework is offered in a hybrid setting, with in-person work based at the SEEAC office in East London. To create a better collaboration with other staff members, SEEAC, however, require all staff members to work in the office or on-site occasionally as required. We are seeking an experienced consultant (or consultancy) to develop a practical technical guidance document for brands on responsible disengagement and engagement. This will support responsible business conduct in sourcing decisions and contribute to better human rights outcomes in supply chains.

Purpose of the Consultancy

The consultant will develop a guidance document that helps companies navigate responsible disengagement (including order reduction and exit strategies) and engagement within global sourcing strategies. The document will be practical and accessible to both commercial/buying teams and ethical trade/human rights professionals. It will align with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and ETI’s frameworks on responsible purchasing, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and just transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a benchmarking exercise on existing frameworks and identify remaining gaps.
• Develop a 20–30 page technical guidance for brands, with case studies and examples of good practice.

You will work closely with our data experts in local Practices (Practice Coordinators) and the wider SHiFT team. Therefore, you must be a proactive team player who is brilliant at building relationships, sees the value in working collaboratively, and enjoys problem-solving with others. Whilst this role requires proven experience of quantitative skills, we are open to candidates with limited or no experience in qualitative research. This is a varied role, and we envisage opportunities for fieldwork, e.g. conducting interviews, facilitating and moderating focus groups. We can provide training and support to help you develop the necessary qualitative skills. The successful candidate will bring both expertise and creativity to help improve data capture, analysis, reporting processes, and insight generation. Your experience will include working with CRM system(s) and data reporting tools, and you will be adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

THE RESPONSIBILITES

SHiFT’s Data Analyst has responsibility for: 

Data Collection and Management

• Support the effective use of SHiFT’s Salesforce system, ensuring accurate, timely data entry and maintenance across local Practices.
• Assist members of our local Practice Teams (Practice Coordinators and Guides) with data queries and monthly surveys.
• Coordinate and quality-assure monthly data submissions, working closely with Practice teams to ensure consistency and completeness.
• Help to develop reporting tools, dashboards, or templates on and off Salesforce to support embedding learning back into practice and more widely to contribute to our ambitions for systems change.

System Improvement and Efficiency

• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline data processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of SHiFT’s Salesforce configuration, in collaboration with external developers and internal users.
• Help document processes and support training materials for system users.
• Navigate and innovate with different systems, including understanding the data recording systems used by Local Authorities and working with the Learning and Practice team to reduce duplication of data entry for practitioners.

Learning and Insight Generation

• Produce routine reports and data summaries for internal use, feeding into learning and influencing conversations.
• Support the Learning Team’s efforts to use data for reflection, learning, and improvement both locally and nationally.
• Contribute to longer-term work exploring integration of data across education, youth justice, social care, and health systems.

Essential

• Undergraduate level or equivalent experience in relevant subject area such as research methodologies, social research, sociology, criminology, policy etc.
• Highly developed knowledge and experience of data management systems, tools, and ability to use statistical and data analysis packages (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or ideally Salesforce).
• Experience working with data entry, cleaning, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience in using data visualisation tools to create dashboards that improve efficiency and enable self-serve insight.
• Solid understanding and commitment to ethical and responsible research, data use and storage, and GDPR implications including anonymising sensitive datasets for analysis. 
• A demonstrable track record of using data to generate insights that inspire meaningful change, and a genuine interest in data as a tool for social impact and learning.

• Highly technical, able to think about the data pipeline from end to end, resolve difficulties and proactively source data where appropriate.

The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a  €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future. 

Position Overview: 

At CPI we believe people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Grants Officer (Associate)   based in Europe to join our CPI Europe (CPIE) team. Your role is  critical  in ensuring the smooth delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the effective administration of grants including ongoing due diligence and accurate record keeping, contributing to assessing proposals and organisations, stewarding and maintaining effective relationships with grantees and wider partners,  and ensuring compliance, timely reporting and payments. This role does not involve managing others.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Grant Strategy & Development

• Contribute to shaping the strategy, design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund.

• Support Management to ensure excellent donor stewardship of Google . org, building their confidence in CPIE as a thought and delivery partner.

• Work collaboratively with programme teams to gather necessary information, data, and insights for compelling letters of inquiry, grant applications and contract bids.

2. Grant Management & Compliance

• Oversee the implementation of awarded grants and contracts, ensuring adherence to donor guidelines, reporting requirements, and project targets and timelines.

• Actively manage programmatic risks and conduct ongoing due diligence on grantee and wider partners to ensure compliance. 

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely grant reports to key stakeholders in collaboration with finance and programme teams.

• Monitor grant budgets and expenditures, flagging any discrepancies or potential issues.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees, fostering positive relationships,  triaging and addressing inquiries and supporting them to deliver effectively.

• Identify and escalate issues  in a timely manner, actively participate in proposing and implement solutions. 

3. DEIB & Collaborative Working

The Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) is a ground-breaking alliance of companies, trade unions and voluntary organisations working together to improve the lives of workers in international supply chains. We are seeking an experienced consultant (or consultancy) to develop a practical technical guidance document for brands on responsible disengagement and engagement. This will support responsible business conduct in sourcing decisions and contribute to better human rights outcomes in supply chains.

Purpose of the Consultancy

The consultant will develop a guidance document that helps companies navigate responsible disengagement (including order reduction and exit strategies) and engagement within global sourcing strategies. The document will be practical and accessible to both commercial/buying teams and ethical trade/human rights professionals. It will align with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and ETI’s frameworks on responsible purchasing, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and just transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a benchmarking exercise on existing frameworks and identify remaining gaps.
• Develop a 20–30 page technical guidance for brands, with case studies and examples of good practice.
• Incorporate considerations such as climate-related sourcing shifts, geopolitical change (e.g. tariffs), and responsible purchasing practice requirements.
• Lead two consultation workshops with ETI stakeholders and brand members.
• Finalise and present the guidance following feedback and stakeholder input.

The supporter relations and engagement officer supports the supporter relations and engagement manager in delivering the charity's strategy, helping to drive all aspects of supporter relations, engagement, and stewardship to strengthen relationships with stakeholders. They contribute to purposeful engagement with diverse supporter groups and ensure exemplary thanks and stewardship across all giving channels, including regular donations, fundraising events, gifts in wills, and major giving. With strong interpersonal skills and a passion for the cause, they provide expert supporter care and line-manage two fundraising assistants to ensure stakeholder communications are timely, impactful, and engaging.

The selected candidate will have significant experience of working with supporters and donors and will have experience and/ or understanding of supporter audiences across the breadth of fundraising programmes. You will have proven events planning or management experience and will have previously worked in a charity or marketing/ membership organisation. You do not need line management experience for this role.
