The Finance Officer will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. The Finance & Operations team play a critical role by running the day-to-day operations and providing the infrastructure that enables the continued delivery of the Trust’s mission and objectives.

The Sutton Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join the team and provide crucial support on a range of key finance processes. Main duties

• Maintaining the Purchase Ledger including processing supplier invoices, staff expense claims, grant and bursary payments, reconciling statements and making the relevant payments
• Maintaining the Sales Ledger including raising invoices and allocating receipts
• Cash management including checking bank transactions daily, allocating transactions on the accounting system and producing regular bank reconciliations. Paying in cheques and reconciling floats, if required
• Maintaining accurate records of both unrestricted and restricted fund transactions including receipts, grants, staff expenses, overheads and cash
• Providing timely and accurate financial support to the Programmes, Development and Research teams to assist them with forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation and (donor) reporting
• Supporting with the month end procedures such as balance sheet reconciliations, depreciation, month end adjustments, salary and overhead allocations

The FIGO Fistula Surgery Training Initiative (FSTI) project has been in existence for 10 years and in that time has become recognised as a key global project, instrumental in delivering capacity building and improved healthcare outcomes for women, with an emphasis on the global south. After 10 years the senior project manager has stepped down and FIGO are seeking to use this as an opportunity to review the project delivery model.

The Interim Senior Project Manager role will lead the FIGO Fistula Project on an interim basis and be responsible for the ongoing delivery of the project during that period. In addition, they will be expected to review the project delivery model, ensuring that the project aligns to best practice and delivers in the most effective and efficient manner possible for the future, whilst ensuring agreed project outcomes.

RISE is a collaborative effort with the goal of delivering a unified approach to women’s empowerment in global supply chains. Bringing together the world’s four largest women’s empowerment programs in the global supply chains - BSR’s HERproject, CARE International, Gap Inc.’s P.A.C.E. Program and ILO-IFC Better Work, RISE will leverage the combined experience in over 21 countries to achieve transformative change for the millions of women who work within supply chains globally. 

RISE will focus on three interrelated pillars of action to tackle both immediate barriers and medium/long term structural improvements for women workers. These include increased agency, confidence, and communication, increased access to and control over financial products, services and resources, enhancement of the capabilities of unions and industry organizations, and implementation of policies at the workplace level, but also regional and national levels that promote gender equality.

Pillar 1: Capacity Strengthening: Working in factories in key countries, RISE will achieve impact with a network of local civil society partners and organizations working on gender equality to deliver worker capacity building programs.  There are four options available (i) Foundation – a 13 month needs based worker training program (ii) Digital – an 8-month tablet-based learning on health, financial literacy and stress management, (iii) Respect - one year program on gender-based Violence prevention and remediation and (iv) Financial Health – a one-year program on financial capability, resilience and inclusion​.

Pillar 2: Market Transformation: RISE will work with and encourage leadership from industry actors (brands, buyers, suppliers, and worker representatives) to improve operating practices at all levels in global value chains to support greater gender equality outcomes. 

Pillar 3: Influencing: RISE will leverage the founding partners’ existing relationships and identify opportunities to work in partnership to influence employer/company/factory policies, programs, and budgets, as well as government policies that impact workers, in particular women workers.

PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT

The consultant will lead the implementation of RISE’s MEL framework to ensure that data and insights inform the organization’s work and effectively demonstrate our impact.

The consultant will embed MEL systems across the organization, provide technical support and guide the teams. In addition, the consultant will lead on evaluation, develop data collection tools, analyze data and share reports and learning to improve program effectiveness.

The consultant will also demonstrate RISE’s impact to internal and external stakeholders.

Scope of Work

MEL Management and Implementation

• Implement MEL frameworks, including Theories of Change, Logical Frameworks, KPIs, and outcome indicators, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with RISE values.
• Systematically integrate MEL across all programs and organizational processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Build teams’ MEL capacities and capabilities through direct technical support and guidance on MEL systems, data use, and strategic alignment.
• Foster a culture of learning through strategic reviews with the teams, gathering evidence and learning: key insights, impact narratives and lessons learnt.
• Lead quality assurance of MEL processes to improve rigor and integrity. Assess their strengths and weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Provide strategic MEL input to support organizational planning, grant reporting, and decision-making, providing insights that support RISE’s aim of multistakeholder action.

Program Evaluation

• Design and implement robust evaluation methodologies. Refine measurement indicators and develop tools for data collection (quantitative and qualitative).

• Lead baseline, midline, and endline evaluations, including analysis and reporting.

Purpose of the role

The Alcohol Behavioral Change Specialist is responsible for collaboratively designing and implementing, evidence-based programmes applying appropriate behavioural change models aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, and promoting long-term behavioral change related to alcohol consumption.

As a leading charity focused on alcohol harm reduction, the postholder will be Drinkaware’s internal expert regarding alcohol harm to individuals and will have a good understanding of brief interventions, as well as information, advice and guidance including quality assurance across our work. They will work across the organisation providing expert advice and guidance.

This role requires a deep understanding of psychological theories, behavioral science, and addiction, along with practical experience in behavioral interventions.

Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
• Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
• Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. The Willow Major Events Team hosts a range of events to engage Willow’s key supporters. These range in large-scale events such as the Willow Ball and London Football Awards, to smaller more intimate events such as Golf and Shoot Days.

Job purpose

• This role will support the delivery of Willow’s programme of Major Events, as well as supporting third party events, ensuring that these promote and present Willow in a professional and compelling manner, maximising opportunities for donor cultivation, fundraising and maximising income generation.
• To work with the Events Manager on delivering events to an exceptional standard.
• To lead on auction procurement and fulfilment to maximise fundraising revenue.

Key responsibilities

Core Events

• To support the events strategy through delivery of high-quality events, designed to attract current and new supporters.
• To support the Events Fundraising Manager in ensuring that each event plan is actioned in a timely and efficient manner, as well as working with external suppliers, ensuring all suppliers work to agreed terms and conditions
• To assist in the research, development and planning of potential new event opportunities, ensuring that the events programme evolves in response to new fundraising requirements, opportunities and sector trends.
• With support from Event Manager, lead on events within the portfolio, working with key stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring delivery of a high-quality event.

Auction

• Lead on securing auction prizes for relevant events, developing relationships with key supporters and external businesses to secure exclusive and desirable auction items.
• Manage the auction fulfilment process, ensuring all auction winners are thanked post event and that lots are fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Oversee online auction platform, ensuring accurate listings, engaging descriptions and looking for ways to maximise income.

Event Supporter Stewardship

• Provide support on guest management, ensuring a smooth process for guests during the lead up to and on the day of the event.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, guests and stakeholders ensuring excellent stewardship and recognition
• To identify opportunities to engage or recruit new event supporters to existing or new events in the Willow calendar.

General

• To support the Events Manager with financial management of each event, supporting on areas such as: budgeting, planning, controlling and monitoring expenditure as appropriate and managing income against targets, KPI’s and provide regular revised projections as required.
• To maintain good practice in the use of database system (Raiser’s Edge), including the events module, ensuring that information is recorded accurately to allow for excellent supporter care, stewardship and accurate analysis of event performance.
• To keep up to date with current competitor activity, potential new opportunities for events and improved ways of managing and developing events.
• To keep up to date and comply with fundraising, data protection and other relevant legislation and codes of practice and good standards.
• To undertake any other tasks reasonably required.

About the role

As a Foundation we are committed to learning together with others and reflecting and acting on what we learn. The Learning & Insight Officer will play a key part in delivering our learning, monitoring and research activities, and we want the successful candidate to be able to develop their skills and interest within the role. They will work closely with the Head of Learning & Insight, wider Grants team colleagues and others across the Foundation to gather insights from our grants and wider work. These insights will inform our strategic direction and contribute to wider sector learning and understanding.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues to design and implement systems for the LEF to collect data and to capture and share learning in a systematic way that reflects our values and our commitment to Power, Cuture and Inclusion.

• Coordinate a timetable of activities for LEF to learn from its grants and direct work (such as regular feedback surveys and internal reflection sessions).

• Work with colleagues to collate and analyse evidence from organisations we fund to identify key insights and learning (such as reports and notes from grant management calls).

• Work with the Head of Learning & Insight and wider grants team colleagues to prepare our grants data for publication (for example through 360Giving and as part of the Funders for Racial Equality Alliance (FREA) Audit)

• Support the LEF to communicate insights in accessible and engaging ways.

• Work with colleagues to prepare key insight reports and data for a range of audiences such as colleagues, trustees or other funders.

• Work with colleagues to run internal sessions with staff and trustees to reflect on our processes (what is working well, less well and what we can improve about how we work) and understand the progress the LEF is making towards its strategic objectives.

• Work with colleagues to run online and in-person events to bring together the organisations and people we fund to reflect and learn from one another.

• Support the development of a ‘culture of learning’ within the LEF and with grantees and 

• Work with the Head of Learning & Insight to commission and manage external contractors for particular pieces of work (for example, research briefs or learning partnerships).

In this new role, you’ll ensure Kidney Research UK has access to and uses external health data effectively to provide high-quality evidence and insight to a wide audience and remains intelligence-led across all its operations.

The post-holder will deliver a core health data intelligence service, ensuring the Policy, Programmes and Communications Teams, along with the wider staff group, have access to a wide range of high-quality health analytics assets. The role will lead on delivering discrete pieces of original quantitative analysis, along with supporting analytics work led by other team members. The role will also involve supporting or leading the delivery of any required data analysis or health economics work, as required.

This will include the management of our health statistics sign-off process, reviewing other colleagues’ use of quantitative health data evidence for external-facing resources and leading on commissioned health economics projects.

A commitment to continuous learning and a collaborative spirit is key. You'll possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in Microsoft 365 applications, ideally including Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint. Confidence querying databases is equally important, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of data owners and stakeholders.

The ability to showcase insights through clear and informative visualisations - charts, tables, and dashboards - is essential for both internal and external audiences.
