Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) is seeking an experienced and visionary academic leader to become the inaugural Director of the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium UK (ROC-UK). Cure Parkinson's Research Engagement Manager is responsible for ensuring that the lived experience and perspective of people with Parkinson’s (PwP) is embedded across our research activities. The role includes managing our international Research Advocates Council and supporting public and patient involvement and engagement (PPIE) initiatives. The role

The Commonwealth Sustainable Cities Coalition (CSCC) is a transformative, multi-level, multi-sector coalition designed to address the intersecting challenges of rapid urbanisation and climate change across the Commonwealth. The CSCC is a collaboration between the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA), the Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP), the Commonwealth Engineers’ Council (CEC), and the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF), working with The King’s Foundation (KF).

The CSCC Programme Manager will set up and oversee the CSCC Secretariat function, coordinate governance structures, and, in collaboration with the ACU Senior Policy and Networks Manager, lead the delivery of a cross-cutting skills agenda through the ACU’s newly launched Expert Group model. The role will also support CSCC partners in establishing three transdisciplinary Action Groups - focused on housing, integrated planning, and urban finance - and support delivery of three National Dialogues in selected Commonwealth countries. The Alliance for Youth Justice are seeking an Interim Policy Manager to lead our policy and public affairs work until 30th April 2026. Cancer Research UK's Cancer Intelligence (CI) team is part of our Evidence & Implementation (E&I) department within the Policy, Information and Communications directorate. The E&I department is integral in driving impact for people affected by cancer and improving patient outcomes by placing evidence at the heart of the charity's work. Through robust research, the department shapes and drives improvements to cancer policy and practice across prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, outcomes, inequalities, and innovation.

What will I be doing?

• Managing the analysis and interpretation of statistical information related to cancer prevention, to inform the charity's policy, information and influencing functions

• Ensuring insights are generated in a timely fashion

• Overseeing delivery of analytical projects from development to completion

• Line managing analysts/senior analysts, ensuring direct reports are coached and supported in their roles to deliver projects and seek out opportunities for learning and development

What skills will I need?

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK's largest independent funder of cardiovascular research. As a Research Advisor you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our research strategy to life. 

Through our portfolio of active research projects, we fund some of the most exciting and innovative cardiovascular research and the most talented scientists from PhD students to BHF Professors.

You’ll play an active role in supporting the work of our research grant committees, by providing scientific input throughout the research grant evaluation and delivery process and taking primary responsibility for supporting the work of the Chairs and Programme Grants Committee.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Research Advisor, Research Grants Manager and Research Grants Officer during funding cycles and grant applications and awards.

Please note this is a fixed term contract covering family leave until the end of May 2026.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you

​
With a PhD, or equivalent, degree in bioscience, you'll have knowledge and an understanding of scientific and clinical careers and the work of BHF, specifically in relation to research.

With experience of cardiovascular or related research at postdoctoral level as well as research grant evaluation and administration, you'll be able to interpret complex research data and communicate it to lay audiences

You’ll be a proactive member of the team possessing outstanding attention to detail, analytical and interpersonal skills. 

With excellent communication, prioritisation, and organisational skills you’ll be able to meet multiple deadlines. You’ll serve as an ambassador for BHF and its research achievements, promoting BHF and its research funding schemes.

The Role

As Fundraising Manager, you will play a proactive, hands-on role in driving Business Launchpad’s fundraising activity. You will be responsible for building and qualifying a fundraising pipeline and securing income from trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.

The role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to craft compelling cases for support that demonstrate our impact. You will work closely with the Marketing and Impact & Evaluation teams to align messaging, evidence, and storytelling, ensuring funders clearly see the difference their support makes.

We are seeking a highly organised and conscientious individual with strong planning and project management skills, who thrives on taking initiative and seeing projects through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Income Generation

• Build, qualify, and manage a fundraising pipeline and annual work plan.
• Research, develop, and submit high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
• Develop clear and persuasive cases for support that combine narrative and evidence.
• Contribute to the delivery of the annual fundraising event and community fundraising initiatives.

Relationship Management

• Build and steward strong, long-term relationships with funders and partners.
• Provide excellent stewardship, including regular communication and tailored impact reporting.

Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance

• Track and report on fundraising progress against agreed targets.
• Maintain accurate fundraising records, pipeline data, and activity logs.
• Produce clear, timely reports for senior leadership and trustees.
• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with regulation, best practice, and GDPR.

Collaboration & Communications

• Work closely with the Marketing and Impact & Evaluation teams to align messaging, impact data, and storytelling.
• Ensure young people’s voices and experiences are central to all fundraising narratives.

Planning, Budgeting & Project Management

• Contribute to managing fundraising budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.
• Use strong planning and project management skills to deliver against multiple deadlines.
• Take a proactive approach to identifying and acting on fundraising opportunities.

Success in this role will be measured by:

• Pipeline Development: A well-qualified and up-to-date fundraising pipeline, with clear prospect research and prioritisation.
• Income Secured: Achievement of agreed annual income targets from trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
• Renewal & Retention: High renewal rate of existing funders and strong stewardship leading to multi-year commitments where possible.
• Quality of Applications: Consistently high-quality proposals and cases for support, evidenced by funder feedback and success rates.
• Collaboration: Positive feedback from internal teams (Programmes, Impact & Evaluation, Marketing, Finance) on joint working, ensuring alignment of messaging, data, and budgets.
• Reporting & Compliance: Contributing to timely and accurate reports to funders, leadership, and trustees, with all activity meeting best practice and regulatory requirements.
• Events & Community Fundraising: Effective contribution to annual fundraising events and campaigns, ensuring they run smoothly and generate agreed outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven track record of securing income from trusts, foundations, or statutory funders.
• Experience in building and managing a fundraising pipeline and work plan.
• Excellent grant/proposal writing skills with strong research abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to develop compelling cases for support through narrative building and storytelling.
• Skilled in building and stewarding funder relationships.
• Confident in planning, project management, and basic budget management.
• Experience in delivering fundraising activity against agreed targets.
• Highly proactive, able to take initiative and work independently while contributing to a team.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in community fundraising campaigns.

The Research Team is pivotal to ensuring that research funded by Children with Cancer UK is at the
forefront of the children and young person’s cancer research area. You will have the opportunity to be at
the cutting edge of cancer research in children and young people and work closely with members of the
scientific community, surrounded by people working towards the same mission.
The post-holder will be responsible for line managing 2-3 members of the Research Team, providing them
with support and identifying areas and opportunities for them to expand and develop their experience
and skillset.
