To fulfil our exciting campaign ambitions, we are recruiting a Senior Philanthropy Manager to maximise philanthropic funding and to take our campaign to the next level. A key member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office’s (DARO) Fundraising team, you will be responsible for growing major gifts opportunities and building a sustainable pipeline of future donations.

DARO exists to support this academic and student community by engaging, inspiring, and celebrating alumni, individuals, and charitable funders who give their money, time, and networks to support the University’s strategic priorities. The Office, which is comprised of five teams, is focused on fundraising and volunteering from alumni, organisations and individuals who are passionate about changing lives, through funding various research projects, supporting student bursaries, mentoring students, and providing internships, as well as providing a versatile programme of engagement opportunities for our global alumni community.  

As a senior fundraiser, we’re looking for someone who is innovative, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of fundraising opportunities, with particular alignment to one of the University’s Colleges. You will have experience of delivering against financial targets, along with the ability to translate complex information into a compelling ask in both verbal and written form.You will also have an enthusiasm for building relationships, the skill to interact with high-level donors and supporters, and the ability to showcase the game changing work of our academics and clinicians.

We are looking for ambitious and strategic Development Manager – Corporate and Philanthropy to lead the growth of our corporate fundraising, build high-value partnerships, and work with our network of senior supporters to unlock transformational opportunities.

With a strong foundation of mid-level corporate partners (typically £5k-£25k) and a skilled Senior Officer in place to manage and grow those relationships, you’ll be free to focus on securing new, higher-value partnerships and support.

The Role:

Key responsibilities:

· Lead on creating bespoke, compelling pitch decks and proposals, working with the communications and Marketing Team to ensure quality and impact.

· Experience collaborating across teams (e.g. Marketing design, service delivery) to shape proposals and deliver joint objectives

Fowler’s Syndrome UK (FSUK) is the only charity in the world dedicated to women (and afab) with Fowler’s Syndrome or Chronic Idiopathic Urinary Retention; a life-changing and poorly understood bladder condition that causes full or partial urinary retention.

The CEO is looking to appoint a highly organised, pragmatic, and detail-focused professional to deliver executive, project and governance support on an initial fixed-term contract of 1 year.

In this vital role, you will harness your initiative as you provide proactive PA support to the CEO and Chairs of the medical and trustee boards, while delivering project and event coordination across FSUK’s core programmes.

Excitingly, alongside executive and governance administration and support and ensuring that the charity maintains the highest standards of compliance and record-keeping, you will also be responsible for project management of two major initiatives such as FSUK’s flagship CURATE consensus project, alongside their annual two-day conference. We are seeking a Key Partnerships Support Officer to join our Fundraising and Supporter Partnerships team and play a vital role in strengthening and growing gospel partnerships. You’ll support the team by managing supporter relationships, researching new opportunities, and ensuring excellent administration and communication systems are in place.

Fundraising Manager

We are seeking an ambitious Fundraising Manager to grow income and support thousands of rural young people across England and Wales.

About the Role

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is recruiting a Senior Policy and Campaigns Adviser to join its policy and campaigns team in the new year.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the RCP as the organisation seeks to finalise and implement its new strategy.

The RCP represents around 40,000 members and fellows in the UK and internationally. Our members and fellows work across over 30 medical specialties such as cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, geriatric and respiratory and acute internal medicine -working in hospital and community settings.

With the 10 Year Health Plan outlining three shifts for health policy in England, the senior policy and campaigns adviser will play a critical role in developing policy positions rooted in physician experience so we can effectively influence the national agenda. You will develop and deliver policy work on a range of high-profile topics such as the NHS workforce – including issues facing early career doctors – health inequalities, digital and AI and clinical research.

You’ll need a sharp eye for detail and be able to quickly and accurately interpret and communicate complex information. You will have experience of analysing policy developments in the external landscape and making recommendations for how to evolve and progress policy positioning in response. You will be as comfortable speaking to officials and other stakeholders as you are writing policy reports, consultation submissions and briefings.

You will brief the president, senior officers and senior staff and play an active role in engaging external stakeholders in NHS systems and the wider sector. You will provide lead support to an RCP advisory group, working closely with the chair to set and deliver a workplan.

The policy and campaigns team – and the wider communications, policy and research directorate – is a fast paced, collaborative and innovative environment. You will help us shape our objectives and continuously improve how we work.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering policy work across a range of topics within the RCP’s policy portfolio.
• Delivering robust horizon scanning and policy monitoring to proactively identify key issues and opportunities to evolve our policy positioning and further our aims.
• Developing proactive and reactive policy positions on high-profile issues relating to the RCP’s work, working in partnership with senior officers, RCP members, communications colleagues and other staff and organisations as appropriate.
• Working flexibly and proactively, undertaking a range of work such as writing briefings, policy positions, reports, committee papers, consultation responses.
• Supporting senior officers and staff in stakeholder meetings, including researching and drafting briefings and yourself representing the RCP at meetings and events.
• Building and owning relationships with sector stakeholders, NHS systems and other organisations relevant to the RCP’s policy and campaigns aims.
• Contributing policy advice to the media team to underpin media releases, comments, statements and opinion pieces.
• Supporting RCP committees and advisory groups to develop and deliver policy work.
• Any other duties commensurate with your post, including deputising for the Head of policy and campaigns and other staff as required.

Dad Matters Surrey exists to support dads to have the best possible relationship with their families. We do this by providing 1:1 and group peer support, helping Dads make sense of parenthood, and providing or signposting Dads to mental health support and access to relevant services. Working closely with other professionals, we are able to better support dads in the first 1001 days of their parenting journey.

As Project Support Officer your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide day-to-day support for the Dad Matters Surrey project and other initiatives.
• Coordinate meetings and act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.
• Take clear, accurate meeting notes and ensure actions are followed up.
• Support our communications and social media, helping us to engage families, volunteers, and partners.
• Contribute to marketing tasks, including producing promotional materials and content.
• Assist with researching funding opportunities and grants, supporting applications that help sustain and grow our services.
• Work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth delivery of projects.

We’re looking for someone who is:

About the role

Kids Cancer Charity have been supporting children affected by cancer from all over the UK since 1989.  Life changes when a child is diagnosed with cancer, every aspect of their life and that of their family is thrown into turmoil.  We offer support through our care breaks and Play Therapy during treatment and beyond.

We are looking for a passionate, talented Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our ambitious, successful Fundraising team that has been growing year-on-year since 1989 as we approach our new fundraising strategy.

Role summary and purpose

This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, securing significant gifts and growing the long-term potential of this portfolio.  There are no direct reports, however the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the General Manager, to build and develop cases for support to help fund our much-needed work.

The successful candidate will utilise their expert writing skills to shape those cases for support into compelling, high-quality proposals and reports.

Building relationships with a wide range of audiences including funders is key. Inspiring them to support families affected by cancer across the UK.

A dynamic, self-motivated, ambitious and pro-active fundraiser is required for this role, demonstrating enthusiasm for the projects and services we are seeking funds to support.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and a proven track record of successful income generation and delivering against targets.

You will have demonstratable experience in researching potential Trust funders, submitting compelling proposals, securing funding and project managing successful bids through to completion of the grant award.

You will also have a background in report writing and demonstrating grant impact whilst being able to build relationships with funders, individual/major donors and senior stakeholders.

Experience of providing excellent supporter care, building mutually beneficial long-term relationships with funders is a must for this role.

Key responsibilities

Research and process management

· Work closely with our General Manager and fundraising team to fully understand our work, and the costs of delivering our work.

· Build strong cases for support, ensuring that you have all the information needed to create compelling proposals and reports for high and mid-value funders.

· Research and identify prospective trusts and foundations and other grant giving bodies.

· Grow and maintain a strong trust funding pipeline, creating new trust prospects for our priority funding areas.

· Develop our long-term trusts and foundations strategy and agree ongoing budgets and targets for this income stream.

· Maintain accurate records including tracking and analysing opportunities, results, and outcomes.

Fundraising 

· Identify and manage a pipeline of high-value prospects and opportunities which have the potential to deliver five- and six-figure grants.

.         Oversee the Trusts Team in delivering to develop and deliver persuasive and timely funding applications.

· Develop relationships with staff members and other key stakeholders across the charity maximising every opportunity for cultivation and development.

· Plan and organise opportunities for funders to view Kids Cancers Charity’s work first-hand, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed and met.

Reporting

· Compile comprehensive and compelling progress reports to feed back to grant makers in a timely fashion and incentivise continued support.

· Alongside the General Manager prepare accurate budgets detailing spending of specific grants.

· Draw down on any multi-year grants as outlined in our annual budget.

· Provide briefing notes and income pipeline on donor activities and potential funding opportunities.
