Resource Mobilisation Team 

The Resource Mobilisation team at the Good Ancestor Movement helps liberate and steward financial flows in service of justice, reparation, and systemic change. The team works with wealth holders, funders, and movement partners to design values-aligned redistribution strategies, manage pooled funding vehicles, and co-create tools and practices that shift the culture of wealth. Our work includes grant and investment operations, grantee relationship support, community learning, and strategic resourcing design rooted in equity and care.

About Your Role

As a Resource Mobilisation Lead you will join our Resource Mobilisation team at Good Ancestor Movement in an exciting time for our organisation’s growth. You will be working closely with Kiki Mager, Director of Resource Mobilisation, although you will be working alongside our entire team and contribute to the organisation’s bold aims and ambitions within your role. 

After having run 5 cohorts of our political education journey Reimagining Wealth, we launched a trial community of practice for wealth holders collectivising them around a pledge to redistribute. This community of practice is called Catalytic Collective and includes a pooled resourcing vehicle, the Roots Fund, to which members commit funds which are then being redistributed through a participatory governance model, the Accountability Circle, led by movement leaders. We have just completed our first pilot year of this resourcing vehicle including the release of our first round of 3-year funding commitments. To ensure the ongoing feasibility of this vehicle we are looking for a passionate new team member to tend to the ongoing development and scaling of this work.

The Catalytic Collective, Accountability Circle and Roots Fund formed in response to findings of a research and report that we commissioned with Decolonising Economics into Resourcing the Solidarity Economy. This report is the bedrock for our emergent resourcing vehicle and wider organising of wealth holders around wealth redistribution and stewardship practices centred in collective liberation. It also informs our educational programmes, our consultancy offerings and Transformative Investment Practice development.

As our Resource Mobilisation Lead, you will primarily support the management and ongoing development of our resourcing vehicle with Catalytic Collective (CC), the Accountability Circle (AC), the Solidarity Partners (SP) receiving funds and our wider wealthholder community. Your roles here will include: 

• Liaison with our fiscal host Social Change Nest and ensuring processes and grantees (‘Solidarity Partners’) experiences are in alignment with our mission and intentions. 

• Relationship management and primary contact for Solidarity Partners 

• Leading the development and/or fine tuning of a grant management system (GMS) to improve oversight and streamline processes together with one of our movement partners and manage the GMS once implemented, particularly as the number of grants mobilised will increase.

• Supporting the AC with admin related tasks like the scheduling of meetings, direction on discussion points and the refinement of their own governance. 

• Administering CC agreements and resourcing commitments including confirming & signing funding agreements with CC members, sending out reminders about funding cycle renewal and exploring approaches to open up the resourcing pool for wider funders to contribute as a one-off without being a CC member.

• Notice, reflect on and feed into ongoing learning and development around the processes and systems in place and what might we need to consider to further improve these in alignment with our vision and mission. 

• Manage the process of mobilising resources from our wider wealth holder community and others to commit boldly.

• Support with story telling proposition and narrative pieces to support building momentum around the resourcing vehicle 

Alongside this workstream, you will also: 

• Steward our Capital Campaigns process to support ad hoc relational and strategic resource mobilisation opportunities meeting needs of aligned organisations in the new and regenerative economy space. 

• Contribute to ideation and creation of tools and practices that further activate and guide wealth holders and wealth advisors in their journeys towards just transition aligned redistribution and stewardship practices.

Early Years Advisor

We are looking for an Early Years Advisor to join the team in this remote working role.

Position: Early Years Advisor

Location: Huddersfield/Remote

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

The Role

You will support the contract delivery of the Champions programmes, ensuring contract milestones are met. The Champions programmes are online professional development programmes designed to support early year’s settings to drive continuous improvement and increase high standards in early education for children from birth to five years, in line with the organisations mission to promote quality in early years for UK and international customers.

Working closely with other early years Advisors, delivery partners, managers and cross teams, you will be responsible for the delivery of Champions programmes.

You will work with the private, voluntary, maintained and independent sectors, and school provision providing advice and support relating to Champions programmes that enable practitioners within nursery settings with practice improvement resulting in better outcomes for children.

Being unable to read as an adult can be isolating and dangerous, reinforces social inequality, restricts economic growth, and worsens intergenerational disadvantage - but it is never too late to learn.

Read Easy helps adults transform their lives by learning to read. It does this by supporting its growing network of locally run, volunteer-led affiliated groups that offer free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching—both in person and online to adults - aged from 18-88. 

With its free, flexible, confidential approach, Read Easy encourages people who are too embarrassed to join a class to come forward for one-to-one support. Each new reader is provided with their own personal Reading Coach, so that they can learn in private and at their own pace. Learning to read transforms their lives in many other ways as well, including enabling them to support their children’s and grandchildren’s reading, and so transfers the benefits to the next generation.

There are currently 80 affiliated Read Easy groups across England, together involving more than a thousand volunteers. Read Easy UK is the registered charity and umbrella organisation which supports this network of affiliated volunteer groups and provides the structure, training and support to enable volunteers to establish groups in new areas.

As our Central Regional Adviser, your role would be to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all volunteer groups consistently deliver high-quality services aligned with Read Easy UK’s strategy.

You will support local volunteer leaders to strengthen group performance, and foster collaboration across affiliated groups, so that that they deliver coaching to Readers with consistent quality, and a positive and worthwhile experience is had by all.

You will also find volunteers to ‘pioneer’ three new groups in the counties where there is no Read Easy presence in the East and West Midlands and East of England and provide them and our 29 existing groups and pioneers in the region, with high-quality support. Your quality support will ensure that they provide the same for their volunteers and new Readers. From meeting (mostly online) with Team Leaders to provide one to one support, and hosting online and annual in-person volunteer forums, to delivering presentations and occasional training for small groups of volunteers, this is a dynamic and rewarding role.

This is a home-based post requiring flexibility, some early evening working and occasional travel to visit groups. The role is available on either a full or part time basis (min 32 hours p/w, 85% of 37.5 hours p/w FTE).

We are looking for a Finance Manager to run the day-to-day finance systems and processes of the Trust, managing the financial reporting and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will provide support and advise budget holders to help us achieve our vision of restoring nature on a grand scale in the West of England. 

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to our organisational effectiveness, working with managers, staff and Trustees to embed a culture of financial awareness and inform decision-making.  You will manage our small finance team, produce high quality financial information to support the effective management of the Trust, and support our Finance & Operations Director in reporting accurate and up to date financial information.

This role will lead and deliver two projects, the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Young Adult Voices Project, and the General Synod Young Voices project, across which it will engage with a wide variety of young people.

The Net Zero Carbon Young Adult Voices project recognises that action to tackle climate change, as part of the wider environmental crisis, is important for young people, and responds to the fact that the NZC programme is not currently strategically engaging with these groups.

This project will involve:
- gathering the voices of young adults (18-30) to enable them to influence the direction of the programme and the Church's wider Environment Programme, ensuring their voice is heard at all levels of the Programme, and informs decision-making.
- communicating what the NZC programme is doing, to raise awareness amongst young people of the CofE's commitment to being a NZC church with these audiences, and to enable pathways for them to become involved in decarbonisation and other environmental projects at the local level.
- work with diocesan colleagues to enable the voices of young people to exercise leadership influence on NZC at a Diocesan level, as appropriate.

Important to the success of this role will be engaging with departments and stakeholders across the Church of England, to ensure this work sits within the broader context of the priority to be a church which is younger and more diverse.
As this is a new project and a new role, the postholder will help to shape the role. The initial focus will be to develop a NZC Young Adult Voices Strategy and Plan for sign-off by the NZC Programme Board, and then to work through delivery of this. This will need to consider the theology, mission and action that will engage and connect with young people - particularly exploring how we root this work in the spirituality and theology that is relevant for a younger audience.

The General Synod Young Voices project follows two motions passed at General Synod (in July 2024 and February 2025) committing General Synod to listening and responding to the voices of children, young people and young adults in every subsequent session. This project involves gathering the voices through schools, churches and Dioceses and enabling children and young people to speak and present each session at General Synod. In addition, it involves working with a group of young adults drawn from every diocese to run a programme of faith and leadership development that enables them to speak into General Synod at a national level, and exercise leadership influence at a Diocesan level as appropriate.

This is a fixed-term role until December 2028, with potential to extend, dependent on 29-31 Triennium Funding.

About the role:  

The Data Analyst (Geo-Spatial) is a key position in the Monitoring & Evaluation team and works closely with the wider Programmes Team to support the process of collecting, analysing, managing and storing high quality data.

The position is pivotal in the development and implementation of a new digital Information Management System (IMS) for the organisation’s Monitoring and Evaluation data. This involves working in partnership with a range of both internal and external stakeholders. 

The position will play a key role in turning geospatial evidence into insight for programme quality, landscape impact and carbon integrity. 

Main duties:  

• Lead on the analysing and interpretation of geo-spatial data across the organisation using a range of GIS, remote sensing and spatial analysis tools to support monitoring, evaluation and learning 

• Produce spatial analyses and maps to assess restoration, tree cover, land use and ecosystem change over time at project and landscape scale 

• Develop, maintain and manage online dashboards and visual analytics products to support programme management, learning and decision-making 

• Working with external developers, design and maintain digital data collection tools and workflows, covering data capture, aggregation, analysis and visualisation for project indicators and organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

• Develop and maintain the organisational M&E geospatial database, focusing on areas of land benefiting from restoration activities, including tree planting, tree survival, landscape regeneration, and agroforestry systems 

• Work closely with the NbS and Carbon team to produce, analyse and quality-assure geospatial data used for carbon programmes, including baseline development, monitoring and verification 

• Support landscape-level impact assessment by integrating geospatial data with field monitoring data and other information sources 

• Implement and uphold good data management practices, including: data quality checks, version control, documentation, secure storage and data governance 

Additional duties:  

• Work together with the other members of the Monitoring and Evaluation team on improving technical support of all Tree Aid programmes

This is a new role within St Luke’s for Clergy Wellbeing created to strengthen and embed high-quality clinical practice across our services. The Clinical Quality Learning Lead will support the continuous improvement and quality assurance of our talking therapy provision, enhancing safety, consistency, and a shared learning culture across our network of therapy providers. As the Community Fundraiser covering East Anglia you will play a crucial role in helping the charity meet its strategic plans and objectives, which include campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.  Your role will be to generate and grow our income through community fundraising activities, contributing to a regional team target of more than £1.5 million.​
