We are delighted to be supporting Hand in Hand in their search for an ambitious, confident Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer to join their award-winning fundraising team. You will join a team of eight, including a Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships, three Philanthropy Partnerships Managers, two Philanthropy Officers and a Philanthropy and Corporate Assistant.

This is a Trusts and Foundations-focused Philanthropy & Partnerships Officer role with a mix of responsibilities across family Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Foundations, Wealth Management firms, and HNWIs. It’s a programme-led role and suits someone who is both personable and detail-oriented, excited by co-developing impact with donors through tailored projects.

As Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer, you will:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of family Trusts and Foundations, Wealth Management firms, and HNWIs
• Manage accounts worth $215,000 and drive new business worth $175,000
• Contribute to the team target of $7.1 million
• Develop detailed, programme-specific funding proposals
• Steward existing donors and develop new partnerships
• Build strong relationships with donors based on detailed programme insight

Ideal skills and experience:

• At least 1 year in a fundraising role ideally Trusts and Foundations or Major Donor
• Proven track record of securing gifts of c.$20,000+
• Ability to own relationships and manage a donor portfolio
• Methodical, detail-oriented, confident, and persuasive
• Strong sales and relationship-building skills
• Open to candidates from Corporate or Major Donor backgrounds who enjoy proposal development

Role Details

This will include supporter acquisition, funding applications, event management and donor stewardship.
• Develop and oversee a marketing and communications plans
• To have a hands-on approach to progressing the Richard Whitehead Foundation
• Regular contact with trustees most notably the Chair, and President.
• Ensure that the Richard Whitehead Foundation is compliant with all relevant regulations, including those related to fundraising, governance, and charity law.

The project:

This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.

In short you will:

• Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach
• Ensure the client waiting area is kept tidy with up-to-date information/leaflets and supplies of refreshments
• Facilitate direct group delivery and events at the Women’s Centre and regional venues
• Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region
• Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region
• Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria
• Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events
• Manage administration for the Hampshire Minerva team
• Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

About this job

It is a very exciting time to join the MS Society as Evidence Programme Lead. We are implementing an ambitious cross-organisational transformation programme. And we have just started a new 2025-29 strategy.

We’re looking for a person with strong social research skills who has the ability to lead our Evidence team. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure we’re developing our evidence base to inform our work.

With extensive experience and knowledge of applied research, evaluation and data analysis, you’ll provide strategic leadership to design, develop and deliver a programme of evidence projects as well as managing a team of evidence officers, identifying gaps in our evidence and providing advice about how to fill them.

You’ll deliver internal projects and commission external research projects, working with colleagues in policy, press, campaigns and beyond to do so. Contributing to key internal working groups will be another key aspect of the role, as well as monitoring and responding to requests for evidence. And you’ll be committed to ensuring people with MS are involved in the design and delivery of evidence projects and to ensuring we seek views from people from a wide range of backgrounds.

The CEO is responsible for the overall leadership, management and strategic direction of the organisation. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Lead on the development and implementation of the strategic plan to further strengthen ALM’s impact.

Staff Leadership and Development:

- Lead, inspire, and motivate the staff team of 10 to achieve the charity’s objectives and create a positive workplace culture.

Operational Management:

External Representation: 

- Build strong relationships with key external partners, including local authorities, government agencies, and third sector organisations.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Leadership: Previous experience as a CEO or senior manager in the third sector is highly desirable. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, set a clear vision, develop and implement strategies, implement change and drive organisational success is required.
• Fundraising Expertise: Experience in fundraising, partnership building, and donor relations.
• Financial Management: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and financial management.
• Governance: Familiarity with UK charity governance and compliance requirements.
• Problem-Solving Skills:  Ability to deal positively with challenges, be pro-active, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrate resilience.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. High level of emotional intelligence, ability to engage and work with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
• Knowledge of the Refugee and Asylum Sector. Experience of working in the asylum and refugee sector is desirable. Empathy and understanding for those going through the asylum system is essential.

Robertson Bell is exclusively partnering with the British Medical Association (BMA) in their search for a Group VAT Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The BMA is the trade union and professional body for doctors in the UK.  They represent, support and negotiate on behalf of all UK doctors and medical students.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Group VAT Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the BMA Group (BMA and BMJPG) properly accounts for VAT and meets their statutory return, including overseas equivalents. You will proactively ensure that the finance systems and internal processes across the group are compliant and will manage relationships with external advisors and HMRC, as the organisation’s VAT Subject Matter Expert.

The key duties of the role are as follows:

• Responsible for submission of accurate and timely statutory VAT returns (and international equivalents) for the Group.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis that supports the VAT return submission.
• Undertake annual reviews of the VAT position, including any exemptions applied during the year.
• Proactively ensure that the finance systems and internal processes across the Group are compliant with the required tax legislation and remain alert to any future changes.
• Proactively manage the relationship with external advisors and HMRC.
• Liaise with Group Auditors, providing support and information for financial audits, preparation of financial statements and other requests.

To be successful as a Group VAT Accountant you'll ideally have:

• Accounting Qualification (CCAB) (essential)
• Significant experience in VAT within a commercial organisation (essential)
• Previous experience of working in a VAT compliance role (essential)
• Knowledge of applying VAT law and how it affects corporations.
• Knowledge and understanding of UK, EU and global VAT compliance issues
• Good relationship building and management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy and data analysis skills

About the Role
 
Our client is looking for a creative and committed freelance Project Officer to help shape and deliver the next phase of their programme, designed to prepare care-experienced young people for their first tenancy and independent living.
 
The Project Officer will lead on developing and adapting engaging, practical content for both in-person workshops and digital learning formats. This includes producing new resources, co-producing elements with young people, managing delivery in two pilot settings, and supporting the programme’s evaluation and scale-up. You’ll work closely with the team and partner organisations to ensure the programme is trauma-informed, youth-centred, and relevant to young people’s real-life experiences and needs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two key individuals to join the team at Basis Yorkshire as a Sexual Exploitation Specialist (16+). You will be providing bespoke trauma informed 1-1 and group work for women who have experienced, or who are experiencing sexual exploitation. 

This role provides trauma informed support to girls and women who are at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation. Working as part of an Adult Sexual Exploitation Partnership Project, you will be supporting girls and women aged 16+ using a theory of change which includes engaging through assertive outreach, helping to overcome trauma and complex emotions, empowering to build positive social networks and building on strengths through exploring their options. You will also be responsible for facilitating a weekly drop in session for women who have experienced Sexual Violence alongside another member of the Basis team. You will support girls and women to access the Criminal Justice System should they wish to do so, enabling them to stay safe and bringing perpetrators to justice.  Wakefield is a new Service Delivery area for Basis Yorkshire and as part of this role you will work with the Service Delivery Manager and other Basis staff to establish strong working partnerships with key services in the area including, Children’s Services, Police and Adult Social Care.
