The Coventry Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd (DBF) manages the financial affairs and hold the assets of the Diocese and its associated entities as well as managing activities to serve and equip these parishes through various activities and projects.
The Finance & Governance team handle all matters concerning Diocesan and Cathedral finance including the administration and collection of parish share, paying invoices and expenses, budgeting, annual statutory, management accounts, clergy stipends, staff salaries, advice to parishes on parochial finance matters.
This role covers the full range of work in an accounting system dealing with input to and output from all ledgers with specific responsibility for the administration of parish shares and fees including the issuing of regular statements to parishes. The purpose is to ensure that the accounting system has accurate and timely financial data which is available to those who require it either for decision-making or for external reports and accounts.

Job Purpose:
To provide operational management of the Substance Misuse Through-the-Gate (SMTTG) programme, which supports Lambeth and Southwark women in custody and their transition back into the community. The Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the service is delivered to a high standard by line managing staff, developing strong partnerships with prisons and recovery services, and fostering a culture of quality, learning, and accountability.
The post holder will also hold a caseload, working directly with women in custody to support them into community services. They will provide robust Through-the-Gate (TTG) support on release and continue to work with women in the community for up to six months to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable recovery.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Lead the operational management of the Substance Misuse TTG programme, ensuring high-quality, trauma-responsive support for women impacted by the criminal justice system
- Manage and develop staff to foster a strong, inclusive, and reflective team culture
- Deliver direct support to women, ensuring a trauma-informed and person-centred approach
- Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders in prisons and the community to strengthen partnerships and share expertise

- Responding to queries in the Finance System Mailbox, in a timely and professional manner.

Key Skills & Experience
- Ideally, AAT Qualified, or working towards CCAB qualification.

The role
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full-Time (35 hrs per week)

What we are looking for in a Generous Giving Enabler:
To fulfil this crucial role, you must have a committed Christian faith and be passionate about helping Christians understand and live out the call to be generous. Public speaking skills and the ability to lead training courses are also essential as is the ability to understand Church finances and familiarity with fundraising and income generation.
