World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.
We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.
We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.
We are recruiting Cantonese speaking Employment Advisors to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will provide high quality advice and guidance through 1:1 employability support and group employability workshops with the aim of coaching individuals and supporting them on their journey into employment that suits their previous experience and skill set.
You will prepare participants for employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will monitor and encourage participants’ engagement and attendance in all aspects of the programme. You will provide an exemplary level of support to STEP participants working towards a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of participants including successful delivery of workshops, completion of training courses, volunteering, and achieving and sustaining paid employment.
The Employment Advisors will work remotely and can be based anywhere in the UK.
About you
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Proven experience or knowledge within the employment sector
- Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by people who have experienced forced displacement accessing employment, and the additional barriers that can be faced by women entering the UK job market.
- Knowledge of adult learning/vocational training
- Experience of delivering 1:1 advice and guidance and coaching
- Experience of reviewing and supervising a case load of participants
- Awareness of Safeguarding people at risk and maintaining professional boundaries
- Experience facilitating group workshops
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Cross-cultural sensitivity
- Good admin and IT skills (CRM database, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Advanced level of English
- Competency in Cantonese

About the role:
This role is based in London with hybrid working.
As an DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

Key responsibilities of our Learning and Engagement Officer include:
- Deliver daily programmed activities encompassing both formal and informal learning
- Develop Learning and Engagement (L&E) activities and resources for both formal and informal learners of all ages and abilities
- Ensure administration and organisation of all L&E activities is developed and delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget
- Lead on Museum-initiated or partner events as required
- Lead on term-time provision for the under-fives
- Support the development and delivery of a high standard of visitor experience
- Be fully active in the research, development and delivery of all elements of Learning and Engagement activities on site, offsite and online. This will include public demonstrations and presentations, class facilitation and tours

- In a manner consistent with the Museum’s shared values, work with L&E staff and volunteers and with staff and volunteers across departments to create or support innovative and engaging activities and resources which reduce barriers to learning

Southern Synod are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer. The post holder will be the main contact for the churches within Southern Synod to advise them on safeguarding children and adults at risk on a day-to-day basis, as well as providing training to a wide range of people as necessary. They will have excellent communication skills, broad experience of networking across organisations, expert knowledge of current statutory safeguarding legislation and the ability to work and travel independently.

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. As YoungMinds’ Senior Safeguarding Officer, you will play a key part in helping to promote the safety and wellbeing of everyone who comes into contact with YoungMinds – whether that’s via our Activist programme, our campaigns, individual and corporate fundraising, our Parents Helpline, social media, training and service design work or any of the charity’s other activities. The role
Sustrans is the UK’s leading active travel organisation, working to make it possible for people across society to walk, wheel and cycle. We have a new strategy for the next five years, a key strand of which is to unlock active travel in new housing developments, and we are recruiting a Head of New Developments to lead this work.
This is a new position in which you will draw on your experience in the housing delivery sector to grow Sustrans’ contribution to the creation of new communities that have active mobility at their heart. As well as leading our influencing work aimed at organisations in housing delivery, you will develop and promote an offer to partners, drawing on Sustrans’ existing infrastructure, behaviour change and advisory services. You will connect with, inform and inspire professionals and decision makers involved in delivering new homes to adopt the actions required to increase active travel in their developments. Through collaboration with our Commercial team and subject experts across Sustrans, you will develop a pipeline of funded work from public, private and third sector organisations, ultimately enabling more households to walk, wheel or cycle for their day-to-day journeys.
The role can be based in any Sustrans office and will involve frequent in-person meetings and site visits, particularly (but not exclusively) in the Midlands and South of England.
About you
You’ll have significant experience contributing to the delivery of new developments through work for or with organisations such as developers, housing providers, consultancies, local authorities or government. We’re looking for applicants with a professional network in housing delivery, and significant experience securing new commissions from and/or influencing organisations involved in delivering new developments. The Head of Finance is a key member of Tara Theatre’s senior management team, overseeing the company’s financial processes and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. They will report to Alys Beider, Tara’s new Executive Director and Joint Chief Executive and support with strategic long-term financial and business planning as well as annual and quarterly budgeting.
