An established and successful charity, our client provides hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families in the South West of England.They have three hospice in North Devon, North Somerset and in Cornwall. They deliver services to children and their families who have a palliative care need and meet the agreed referral criteria. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic clinical leader with a passion to making a difference to the lives of children with life limited conditions. In this role you will be a key part of the hospice care leadership team ensuring that care standards are high, care delivery is responsive and reflects the model of hospice, that families are engaged, and the team is well led and supported.  As Team Leader Care (TL) you will work as part of the care leadership team. Working under the Senior Care Team Leaders (STL) you will provide direct care and leadership to members of the team, overseeing the delivery of safe, high quality care to the children and their families. You will also provide direct line management to a named group of staff and a caseload of children and their families.

To be successful you will be/have:

- RSCN – RN Child (or RGN with substantial paediatric palliative care experience and willing to undertake further learning in this field)
- Clinical experience and competence, including extensive post qualification experience working with children/adults with a life limiting / life threatening condition, including at end of life, chronic illness or disability in a variety of settings; acute, community.
- Leadership and management experience, with lead responsibility for a shift, ward, department or team
- The commitment and ability to champion the values and behaviours of the hospice delivering their services reflecting the ethos of the organisation.

About the role 

Demand for support for people experiencing homelessness is changing and we have a vacancy in our front facing Engagement and Assessment service. 

This service provides first line support to people experiencing homelessness, assessing their needs, identifying support, and working with other staff and services to address their homelessness. 

We need someone to join this team as a receptionist to increase our capacity to respond to new and existing members of Crisis. 

As the first point of contact, our Engagement and Assessment service greets individuals who are experiencing homelessness or facing a risk of homelessness. You will be working in a fast paced and often challenging environment, explaining and guiding people through the Crisis service offer, and signposting to other local support services. You will need to create a welcoming and encouraging environment, to ensure that people seeking support feel understood and respected. 

No two days are the same, and you will be greeting people, helping signpost to appropriate services and responding to telephone and email enquires in a positive and supportive way. This is a key role as you will be part of a members journey out of homelessness, right from their first presentation. 

About you 

As a receptionist you have a real opportunity to demonstrate your compassion and empathy for people experiencing homelessness as our first point of contact at Crisis. 

Sometimes visitors are distressed by their situation and this role would suit someone who is both resilient and compassionate. 

You will need to have strong communication skills, be able to listen and respond even when people are demonstrating their distress through their language and behaviour. This is where you will demonstrate confidence in your ability to assertively challenge inappropriate behaviour and de-escalate conflict. 

You will develop professional relationships with our members who regularly attend and become part of their progression out of the most difficult of personal circumstances. Our current team tell us how rewarding and motivating this can be. 

You will need to be able to help manage the reception area, spot potential concerns and safety issues and respond to these to ensure that reception is a safe space for new and existing members, and other colleagues. 

You will have experience of working with vulnerable people, balancing this together with an excellent level of customer service, IT skills and an ability to accurately record sensitive information. 

You will be interested in evolving your skills and playing an active role as we continue to develop our Engagement and Assessment service further.

This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing

The primary purpose of this role is to help children and young people take practical steps to become more digitally resilient and be safer online. Our freelance School Engagement Officers introduce the highly impactful Breck’s story into schools and other youth and community spaces across the country and deliver inspiring, educational talks to students, parents and guardians, teachers, and other groups in a ‘whole community’ approach.

Breck Foundation is at the forefront of efforts to safeguard children and young people online. Our organisation was founded in 2014 in response to the tragic loss of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. Our work aims to prevent this from ever happening again. Our work saves lives. We reach thousands of children and young people in schools and other community settings with Breck's story every year. Our talks and educational materials fill a gap in the current UK curriculum that otherwise leaves children vulnerable to online grooming and exploitation. With 98% of young people now active internet users, current and future generations grow up having to navigate new and evolving digital dangers. We are committed to making the internet a place where children can live, play, and thrive in safety. We are helping young people reclaim the internet. 

Training: All necessary training will be provided, and time spent in training will be compensated.

More specifically, the post holders will:

• Research speaking opportunities and engage/build sustainable relationships with schools and other youth spaces with the aim of securing speaking engagements (known as bookings).

• Work with the Breck Foundation team to set up all new speaking engagements and ensure set communication processes are met and all calendar entries completed.

• Maintain relationships with named contacts within schools and other youth spaces with a view to achieving repeat bookings.

• Where practical, to attend and deliver bookings at different locations using the Foundation’s standardised PowerPoint presentations, with a commitment to educate/raise awareness among young people, staff, parents & carers about the dangers young people face from online grooming through gaming and social media and other online harms. School Engagement Officer (Freelance) Role Description

• Where impractical to deliver bookings secured, to work with the Foundation team to ensure that the booking is assigned appropriately and delivered to a high standard.

• Represent the Foundation in a professional manner and to protect and advance the Foundation’s profile in all engagements, including to work collaboratively with other colleagues to identify new ways to raise awareness of the foundation’s mission and to help expand their scope, reach and geographical coverage and income generation capabilities.

• If delivering bookings, carryout pre- and post-delivery engagements, including sharing pre and post presentation packs with schools and actively seeking feedback, testimonials and even Vox Pops where possible; and to log these on Salesforce.

• Reporting of data to contribute to organisational impact, including using surveys to document statistics for each engagement, for example number of pupils reached by age group.

• Log all notable interactions with schools and other organisation and institutions in the relevant organisation’s Salesforce account to enable the team to avoid duplication and maintain professionalism in our engagements with them.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership and supervision to a number of therapeutic services within Richmond Borough Mind. Our developed and respected Psychotherapy and Counselling Service has been providing long-term counselling interventions to local residents since 1988. The service is self-funded and offers a range of therapies which aim to provide individuals with the support and opportunity to work through their difficulties in depth with a skilled and experienced trainee or fully qualified therapist. Sliding scale rates are offered to make sure that we are accessible to all. We also run a number of therapeutic, psychoeducational, support and peer-led one to one sessions and groups, training workshops and other activities.

We are looking for a skilled and qualified (or in advance training) counselling supervisor to provide clinical supervision, leadership, management and service development of our Psychotherapy and Counselling service. Knowledge and understanding of a number of modalities would be an asset.  Part of the role will be to help us achieve and maintain BACP or equivalent service accreditation and to grow the service.

About You

You will be working in an Early Years setting currently and either be a Room leader or ready to take that next step in your career to take on that responsibility.

About the role:

You will need:

• knowledge of help-seeking barriers & support needs of victims of domestic abuse
• a good understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
• knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
• understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding thee
• direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people
• good communication, negotiation & advocacy skills, both written & verbal, able to interact with a range of agencies and individuals
• have strong crisis management skills, able to deal with stressful and difficult situations

Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the Outreach & Engagement Worker will deliver 2-4 daytime outreach sessions per week in Manchester alongside partners, colleagues and volunteers. They will also attend the Street Engagement Hub weekly to provide specialist support to women attending this multi-agency hub. They will provide brief interventions and casework support to women supporting their needs holistically.

You will work with other members of the MASH team to achieve the following outcomes:

• To improve women’s health
• To improve women’s wellbeing
• To increase women’s safety
• To enable women to identify and achieve their goals
• Women who sex work are heard, understood and experience less stigma
• Other agencies and policymakers understand the needs of women who sex work and are more effective at supporting them

Since 1991, MASH has been at the forefront of supporting women in and around Greater Manchester who are, have been or may start sex working and who are facing multiple disadvantage. We were founded as a social justice organisation, starting out as a grassroots, community led response to the HIV/AIDS crisis and we have continued to support women at the sharpest end of inequalities ever since.

Whilst the nature of sex work, the context in which we operate and the support we provide has changed dramatically over the last thirty years, one thing has remained constant: MASH continues to be a haven for some of the most marginalised women in Greater Manchester –  women who fall through the gaps, are under served by mainstream services and face stigma, discrimination and multiple barriers to accessing the support they need. At MASH, we meet each woman where they are at and stay with them for as long as it takes for them to get to where they want to be. Crucially, our support is gender and trauma informed and responsive and we bring decades of experience of appropriately supporting women in ways which work for them.

We are seeking a full time experienced administrative officer to support our Best Years Hub.  This role will act as the first point of contact for all services users and volunteers who are referred to the hub. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a similar role, good administrative skills, a pleasant and helpful telephone manner, good attention to details and experience of using all Microsoft packages, WordPress, Canva and all social media platforms.

Senior Team Leader – Care

An established and successful charity, our client provides hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families in the South West of England. They have three hospices in North Devon, North Somerset and Cornwall. They deliver services to children and their families who have a palliative care need and meet the agreed referral criteria. Their ethos is support the whole family making the most of short and precious lives and their current delivery model includes care wherever the child is when they need it most including care at the hospice base, at home and virtual support.

In this role you will be a key part of the hospice care leadership team ensuring that care standards are high, care delivery is responsive and reflects the model of hospice, that families are engaged and the team is well led and supported. Providing line management to the Team Leaders as part of a leadership team, projects and portfolios will be undertaken to support the Head of Care deliver a well led, responsive, and kind service.

Working closely with the Deputy Director for Quality to ensure the quality agenda is taken forward including supporting the hospice based teams with audits, policies, standards and learning.

You will be visible to the team, maintaining clinical credibility through working regular care shifts and to develop a clinical facing role.

To be successful you will be/have:

- Qualified RSCN with demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and supporting a successful team.
- Highly specialist clinical skills within paediatric palliative care with the ability to provide clinical leadership.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and families with palliative care needs
- The commitment and ability to champion the values and behaviours of the Hospice delivering their services reflecting the ethos of the organisation.
