Salary: £26,000 (pro-rata), you’d get £15,600 (gross)
Hours: 29.6 hours to be worked flexibly over 4 days

What you’ll be doing:
As a Training and Development Officer, you will be working directly with teachers and other education staff supporting their journeys in taking curriculum learning and play outside and to utilise their school grounds. You will deliver LtL’s training and projects within diverse communities across a significant geographical area. This role is part of our exciting new climate change education initiative. It is essential that you are able and willing to travel the Southwest and throughout the UK, including overnight. For more details of the role see the Key Responsibilities document.
What you’ll need:
· Experience of delivering projects with diverse communities
· Experience of training and advising educational staff in primary or secondary schools.
· Experience of delivering outdoor nature-based and curriculum linked learning activities
· A passion for nature
· Experience of producing written materials; educational resources, reports, and similar project related communications
· Competent IT skills (particularly Microsoft Office, Teams and Outlook)
· Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage and deliver a varied workload
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions
· Good interpersonal skills
· An understanding of the role safeguarding plays in education
· Ability to work from home or suitable office-type venue

Emotional and Mental Wellbeing Practitioner
These are exciting times for the Charity, and we have an excellent opportunity for an empathetic and professional Emotional and Mental Wellbeing Practitioner with outstanding interpersonal and diplomatic skills to join the dedicated Wellbeing Team.
We will welcome applications on both a qualified and trainee practitioner basis.
Position: 1941 Emotional and Mental Wellbeing Practitioner
Location: Remote (onsite attendance currently anticipated to be approximately 1 day per quarter)
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week (undertaken flexibly to meet the needs of clients between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30, Monday to Friday)
Salary: £18,117 - £25,986 (FTE £30,195 - £43,310)
Contract: Permanent - starting as soon as possible

About the Role
As Emotional and Mental Wellbeing (EMW) Practitioner, you will offer specialist interventions to staff and volunteers seeking emotional and mental health support and will provide advice to a team of volunteer Mental Health First Aiders. Specialist support provided will include a wide range of approaches, including assessment, information, applied psychosocial interventions, health promotion, and illness prevention services. Liaison with external agencies will also be required to ensure excellent support for staff and volunteers with acute emotional and mental wellbeing needs.
About You
You will have:
· Recognised level 5, or equivalent, training or qualification in applied psychosocial interventions (e.g. coaching, counselling, psychotherapies, CBT, EFT, NLP).
· A minimum of 100 hours successful practice of applied psychosocial interventions.
· A Mental Health First Aid accreditation or equivalent.
· Experience of preparing and delivering staff development and training.
· Knowledge of current professional developments in emotional and mental wellbeing practice and/or applied psychosocial interventions.
· Ability to work as an independent professional practitioner and able to make independent decisions.
· A capacity to negotiate and manage ethical dilemmas, and to set and maintain appropriate boundaries.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our team of six Strategic Partnership Advisors across England. In this role, you will support key partners, including Active Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities, and leisure providers to become more effective in their role of enabling more disabled people to be active.
You will possess a strong understanding of the sport and activity sector, including its operations, and be able to advocate for improvements that help more disabled people become active. Additionally, you will be aware of the broader systems and barriers that disabled people encounter in sports and activities, as well as organisations such as disabled people’s user-led organisations and various charities, to build relationships and foster effective cross-sector partnerships.
We are looking for an individual with experience of working strategically at a place based and/or locality level within the South West region. Someone who can positively influence local developments, systems and investments to tackle the inequalities disabled people face in sport and activity through inclusive practice.
The successful candidate will work remotely from home and be based in the South West region. This role will involve travel across the region and occasional travel to our Loughborough and Manchester offices.
This role is full-time (36 hours) and permanent.

Working one to one (either face to face, over the telephone, or on video call) you will support individuals experiencing mental health distress by:
- Establishing connection and rapport in a non-intrusive, non-judgmental and compassionate manner
- Supporting individuals through guided self-help strategies including grounding, breathing techniques.
- Supporting individuals to relay their immediate needs and concerns and offering emotional and practical support and information to address these.
- Provide individuals with information on and how to connect with social support networks available to them in their own community.
- Supporting individuals to make a safety plan
Crisis Recovery Worker criteria:
- You must be able to show empathy and compassion with a non-judgemental approach
- You should be passionate about promoting positive mental health and have excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
- You should be able to manage professional boundaries
