ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an enthusiastic Careers Adviser to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Careers Team. In this key position, you will work at our Harris Lower Academy Wilsden in Brent Borough, supporting students to make informed, ambitious and aspirational decisions about their futures.

You will be joining an experienced and knowledgeable team of advisers, from whom you can gain advice and support. Working closely with your colleagues, you will help shape and deliver a high-impact CEIAG programme.

Whether it’s further education, apprenticeships, traineeships or employment, you’ll play a vital role in guiding students towards the post-16 and post-18 pathways that best match their goals and aspirations. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where ideas are freely shared, good practice is celebrated, and guidance is always at hand.

Your contribution will be central to raising aspirations, inspiring ambition, and ensuring that every student, regardless of background or ability, is fully aware of the range of opportunities open to them. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

As part of this role, you will:

• Collaborate with Careers Leads across academies to design and implement a high-impact careers education programme aligned with the latest statutory guidance, including the enhanced Gatsby Benchmarks and each academy’s improvement priorities
• Plan and deliver engaging careers assemblies that expand students’ awareness of post-16 and post-18 pathways, alongside other relevant career-related topics
• Provide impartial, tailored career guidance through one-to-one meetings and group sessions that empower students to make informed, realistic and adaptable decisions about their futures
• Accurately record all guidance interactions and agreed actions on Unifrog, ensuring student data is kept up to date and accessible
• Offer targeted support to students navigating post-16 and post-18 transitions, including referrals to specialist services for those with additional needs, such as SEND
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, networks, and partners to enrich the careers and higher education offer and maximise student outcomes
• Track, monitor and report on student aspirations to inform strategic planning and targeted interventions
• Engage parents and carers in the careers guidance process, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s journey, including attendance at parents’ evenings
• Facilitate meaningful employer encounters that inspire students and broaden their understanding of the world of work
• Attend key events such as results days and enrolment days to provide on-the-spot careers support and guidance
• Support colleagues across the team by sharing best practice, offering shadowing opportunities and contributing to a collaborative learning culture
• Actively contribute to Careers Adviser team meetings by sharing insights, experiences or resources that enhance practice and support team development
• Provide careers-related evidence and representation during Ofsted inspections, showcasing the strength and impact of the careers provision

This role plays an essential role in the smooth running of the charity. With a small team and big ambitions, everyone plays an important part. Yours is to facilitate our team to work in the most effective and productive manner, using your organisational and planning skills so we can all deliver the greatest impact for people with MS.

Job summary:

You will support the organisation across a range of administrative, organisational and governance activities. You will be comfortable working in a busy environment juggling multiple projects, as is characteristic of a small but ambitious organisation.

You will be able to demonstrate discretion and commitment, along with excellent organisation, written and verbal communication skills and will bring experience of providing director level PA/EA support. You will be able to use your own initiative to prioritise workload according to the demands of the day and learn to anticipate changes, responding professionally, adeptly and positively.

You will be expected to provide a high standard and quality of support across a range of activities and projects, being fully aware of and upholding the charity’s values, and taking responsibility for modelling these to others across the organisation and to the wider community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

The role comprises of the following key areas of responsibility:

· Executive Assistant to CEO

Provide full support to the CEO, including but not limited to:

o Overseeing the diary of the CEO, prioritising meetings and scheduling time for reading, thinking and preparing, ensuring meeting materials are to hand.

o Providing ‘right-hand’ support, undertaking research, ensuring CEO is up to date with all projects and pre-empting needs.

o Secretarial – supporting emails, creating presentations, keeping management files organised and up to date within SharePoint.

· Executive Assistant to Chair

Provide full support to the Chair in any administrative activities that relate to her role as Chair, including but not limited to:

o Overseeing calendar appointments, and ensuring the Chair is prepared for meetings.

o Providing ‘right hand’ support in communication with staff and Board, scheduling meetings and providing administrative support as required.

· Governance and administrative support to the Overcoming MS Board

Provide governance and administrative support to the Overcoming MS Board of trustees, including:

o Scheduling Board, committee and Strategy meetings and making the necessary arrangements (eg booking venues, setting up virtual meetings via Teams/ Zoom).

o Preparation of documentation for meetings including circulation of agendas, compiling Board packs for the Board of Trustees and committee meetings, taking accurate minutes and co-ordinating follow up actions.

o Supporting the Chair and CEO in the recruitment and induction of new Trustees.

o Providing administrative support for working groups, for example, making arrangements for meetings, circulating agendas and papers.
 

· Internal HR administrative lead

Fully supported with external expertise, to provide administrative support for the team, including:

o Advertising vacant roles, coordinating recruitment, sifting applicants, arranging interviews.

o Onboarding new starters, including references, contracts, setting up new starters on the systems, inducting starters in organisational processes.

o Supporting ongoing team development including coordinating training, staff surveys and appraisals.

o Coordinating leavers, including exit interviews, leavers forms and relevant administration.

· Internal IT administrative lead

Fully supported by our external IT agency, to provide administrative support for the team, including:

o Regular meetings with IT agency to ensure correct licenses, equipment and protections are in place.

o Coordination of hardware and software for new starters, equipment provided and returned for leavers.

· Management of Overcoming MS contact enquiries

o Regularly check the Overcoming MS contacts mailbox and manage its contents, responding or delegating to Overcoming MS team members where appropriate, and ensuring follow up is completed.

o Manage the Overcoming MS telephone number to ensure queries are dealt with efficiently.

o Draw themes from regularly occurring queries, to make sure any trends are picked up and addressed effectively.

· General organisational support

o Provide ad hoc project management support to organisational improvement projects, including supporting project team meetings, developing project plans and tracking progress.

o Travel/ meeting arrangements – arrange meetings, attendance at conferences and book rooms and making travel arrangements as necessary.

o    Coordination with our outsourced storage facility.

o Policy support – maintenance of the policy tracker, coordinating the reviewing and updating of policies.

o Admin support for team meetings, oversight of the shared drive, central email lists.

o Lead relationship with our Employee Assistance Provider, including regular team reminders of services and other charity discounts.

o Proactively identify areas where improvements can help improve efficiencies, impact or wellbeing.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Support Worker to join our dedicated Young Carers Service team. Our team of support workers focus on supporting young carers throughout their caring journey, ensuring they feel understood, valued and empowered whilst also providing the opportunities and practical support the young people need to thrive and continue their caring role.

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for assessing the needs of young carers and ensuring they receive appropriate support through Carers Bucks services or other local agencies. The role includes engaging in one-to-one support, delivering targeted group sessions and facilitating clubs and activities. Support Workers will identify and engage young carers through partnerships with schools, health and social care and VCSE communities. 

Your role will be a mixture of working in the community, from home and in our Aylesbury office. Your principal geographic area will be South Bucks. 

Key Responsibilities These include but are not limited to:
1.     Operational Coordination and Planning
·       Receive referrals and undertake YC assessments in your geographical area. Allocate young people to the appropriate level of support they require to fulfil their caring role.
·       Provide planned and time limited one to one support for carers with clear outcomes, using tools such as ‘my life now’ to measure impact of support.
 

2. Service Delivery and Quality
·       Deliver group programmes in response to the needs in your local geographical area, whilst working to available resources.
·       Work with staff and volunteers to deliver regular clubs and activities which provide young carers with the opportunity to have time away from their caring role. 
 

 3. People and Team Development
·       Build a strong relationship with young carers and families in your geographical area and work with the Young Adult Carer Support worker to transition them through services.
·       Work effectively as part of a high performing team to ensure that needs of carers are met. 
 

4. Safeguarding and Inclusion
·       Have a strong understanding of how to receive, respond to and record safeguarding concerns and escalate to a line manager in a timely manner.
·       Demonstrate a strong commitment to implementing and upholding Carers Bucks’ safeguarding policy in everyday practice.

5.     Partnerships and Representation
·       Provide support to schools in a geographical area to run young carers groups, targeted support sessions or drop in’s. 
·       Collaborate with the Adult Carers team and partner organisations to further support carers and make referrals to appropriate services accordingly.
 

6. Performance, Data and Reporting
·       Maintain accurate and up to date records on all aspects of work carried out for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
·       Produce case study summaries to evidence the impact and outcomes of work, in line with requests from the line manager.

About you

Qualifications and Experience

·       Background in youth work, education, social care or the voluntary sector. 
·       Experience of working directly with young people and/or unpaid carers.
·       Experience providing information, advice and guidance to young people and their families.
 

Knowledge and Understanding
·       Strong understanding of young people’s development and the challenges faced by young carers.
·       Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and demonstrated experience in implementing effective safeguarding practices to protect individuals. 
·       Understanding of how compassion, collaboration and reliability build trust and improve outcomes for carers. 
 

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable across audiences.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
• Competent IT user with experience of standard office packages and electronic record systems.

About This Job

This is an exciting role in Army Cadet Headquarters which provides administrative support to the functional delivery areas of the syllabus. We are looking for a person to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team and support administration across both our volunteer staff and employed workforce.

This post is primarily to support DofE and First Aid but may, where required, be surged to cover short term administrative responsibilities for other activity areas.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Tender has grown significantly in recent years. We have secured income from an increasing range of sources: corporates, major donors, trusts & foundations and statutory funders. We have done this with a small but highly effective development team.

With a clear strategic focus for the next five years, we are strengthening our development team to ensure we have the funding needed to achieve our strategic ambitions. We plan to grow both the extent of our reach across the country, and the difference we make to the people we work with. We are also planning to increase the effectiveness of our policy & influencing work, aiming to deliver significant, systemic change to how violence against women and girls is prevented.

You will play a pivotal role in raising the funding for our ambitions, focusing on statutory and trusts & foundations income streams. You will lead on both these income streams, managing existing funders and securing new funders. You will secure income from your own portfolio of funders and partners, and lead and inspire the team to achieve their own ambitious targets, both through new sources and through excellent stewardship of existing funders.

Role purpose

The main purposes of this role are:

• Researching, identifying and applying for grant funding and commissioning from statutory sources, trusts and foundations (T&F)
• Developing and writing high quality fundraising bids which align with the objectives and needs of statutory funders, T&F and Tender’s strategic objectives
• Managing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with a range of stakeholders (statutory funders, T&F, delivery partners, professionals in the sector, internal stakeholders)
• Developing the Statutory and T&F strategy in collaboration with the Development Director

Main responsibilities and duties

New business development

• Developing and implementing a strategy to develop relationships with, and maximise income from, statutory sources, T&F
• Working with service managers, designing, developing and submitting high-quality funding proposals to statutory sources, T&F which are technically sound, meet donor requirements and align with Tender’s strategic objectives
• Maintaining an up-to-date market awareness of grant-making trends and best practice in T&F fundraising
• Developing the overall statutory and T & F strategy with oversight from the Development Director
• Monitoring and reporting against business development plans to ensure objectives are achieved, and proposing plans for remedial action if projections are not on track

Relationships

• Managing relationships with Statutory sources and T&F funding Tender, building a deep understanding of the needs and requirements of each funder
• Developing and executing stewardship and relationship management plans for T&F to maximise the value and duration of their support for Tender
• Overseeing the production of high-quality monitoring reports for T&F, and using insights from funded programmes to develop case for support materials
• Working with other Tender managers to ensure the consistent tone and positioning of Tender in the implementation of marketing of all projects
• Line managing two Development Officers

Administration

• Working with the Governance team to improve operational effectiveness and quality service by identifying and implementing process improvements
• Contributing to the maintenance of Tender’s overall Development function, providing appropriate analysis and reports
• Developing and maintaining a funding database and ensuring it is up to date to effectively monitor and evaluate the strategy

The Senior Research and Development Manager will play an important role in managing NCB’s research and evidence work, supporting our impact and growth and working across teams in a matrix environment. The role

As a Community Fundraiser, you will be the face of St Richard’s Hospice in the community, you will help our wonderful fundraisers and inspiring new supporters to raise money for the charity, always ensuring they receive the best possible supporter experience. As part of CAR, the Individual Giving team encourages people to make gifts of up to £10,000 using a data-driven approach and a range of communication channels. We’re looking for a skilful communicator and project manager to join us.

The Individual Giving Manager will deliver a multi-channel fundraising strategy to encourage people to give at ‘mid-value’ level (£1,000-£10,000 each year) through direct mail and digital fundraising You’ll also support the wider team by project managing mass fundraising appeals that solicit gifts of all sizes by direct mail and email.

You’ll also be responsible for producing stewardship communications, including reports, that thank donors giving over £1,000.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Deliver a multi-channel fundraising strategy to encourage people to give at ‘mid-value’ level (£1,000-£10,000 each year) through direct mail and digital fundraising.

About the Event

The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.

About the Role

As the Fundraising Events Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering the Schools Triathlon series. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Schools Triathlon Committee, event venues, local schools, participants, volunteers, and our event delivery partners.

You’ll take the lead on two to three Schools Triathlon events, managing all aspects of planning and delivery with the school and our third party event company. This includes delivering engaging school assemblies at local schools to inspire pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.

Our volunteers are the heart of the Schools Triathlon and without them, these events simply couldn’t happen. This role will be crucial in recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers before, during, and after each event.

With support from the Senior Fundraising Manager. You will:

• Develop and implement creative volunteer recruitment strategies.
• Build strong relationships with local community groups 
• Manage volunteer communications, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience.
• Work closely with each of the host schools to support them with their student and staff volunteers
• Lead on the Duke of Edinburgh volunteer programme, working closely with host schools to expand and strengthen this initiative.

Schools Triathlon Events:

• Support the planning and delivery of Schools Triathlon events from start to finish.

This is a full-time role in a well-established charity based in Twickenham. This role would suit someone who wants to have the opportunity to work flexibly and build their career in the Charity sector with experience of working in social care.

Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support.

As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. Part of the role will also aim to improve the identification, recognition and understanding of the needs of adult carers, raise the profile of adult carers and ensure adult carers needs are met. You will also be expected to work with our volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show our funders what we have achieved.

You will be someone:

• Who works in a person-centred way
• Is enthusiastic, empathetic and detail conscious
• Communicates well by phone and in person
• Has an understanding of social care particularly in relation to carers
• Has experience of working with clients who have support needs
• Has experience of producing reports for monitoring and evaluation
• Is numerate and has knowledge of budgeting
• Is able to gather and assess information efficiently and think creatively to come up with solutions
• Has good communication skills including spoken, written and presentational

Main Duties include:

• To provide a regular telephone support-line, face-to-face and email support, offering appropriate, generic advice
• To offer a range of service delivery options and be involved in providing those options e.g., breaks, group work, leisure activities or other outreach activities
• To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
• To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
• To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
• To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
• To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes
• To participate in key events organised by Richmond Carers Centre and other relevant partners to promote services to a wider public

Full-time | £34,000 per annum

The charity has been supporting children, young people and families for over 25 years through a range of play, family support and youth programmes. Their Ofsted-registered after-school and holiday play schemes provide children aged 4–11 with safe, engaging and nurturing environments to explore, grow and thrive.

As Deputy Play Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role within the play service, helping to design, deliver and evaluate a high-quality programme of activities. You’ll support the Play Manager in day-to-day operations (including managing enquiries/collection of fees), team management and ensuring compliance with all safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted standards.

This is a hands-on role combining leadership, planning, and active delivery — you’ll work directly with children and families to create safe, inclusive, and stimulating play environments.

About You

Essential skills and experience:

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in Playwork, Early Years, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working directly with children aged 4–11.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate play activities.
• Confident leading active, outdoor or adventure-based play.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Strong organisational and IT skills.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting children with additional needs or from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience supervising others or managing volunteers.
• Knowledge of current issues affecting children and families.
• Relevant training such as paediatric first aid or food hygiene.
