Head of Programmes is a key role with significant scope to grow as the charity evolves. You’ll lead on the day-to-day delivery of our programmes, including our largest single programme, Maths Circles: a small-group-based maths enrichment programme engaging talented young mathematicians nationwide. You will coordinate a large community of volunteers as well as our in-house team of part-time and freelance staff to deliver an excellent experience for students, parents, tutors and partners.
You will need to be genuinely enthusiastic about using our CRM and Google Sheets to track progress and excited about martialling the charity’s data to communicate clearly with colleagues, partners and trustees. You will take ownership of programme reporting and KPIs, using insights to identify and implement delivery improvements and demonstrate impact.
You will communicate regularly with our diverse community – including speaking directly to young people and parents to resolve issues, recruiting and training education professionals and meeting with partners to organise and manage projects. Beyond programme delivery, you’ll play a crucial part in fundraising, communications, recruitment and planning and will occasionally deputise for the Foundation Director in representing the charity externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of programme operations
- Drive impact by setting, monitoring and reporting on KPIs (e.g. attendance, retention, satisfaction) whilst sharing insights with partners and funders
- Coordinate and support a team of part-time staff, freelancers and delivery contractors
- Lead communications with parents, students, tutors and external partners
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (training provided)
- Support fundraising, charity development and strategic planning
- Support recruitment and onboarding of staff, volunteers and collaborators

*Hybrid working

The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!

· Assist with recruitment of eight schools to take part in Young Marketeers
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Delivery Team team as our new Project Officer.
As the Project Officer you will work closely with two existing Project Officers to engage with selected schools. You will support these schools across the area to inspire, encourage and enable more pupils and their families to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot to school.
You will engage and work with selected schools and their wider communities across BCP, developing and delivering fun, engaging and innovative activities and events. These will be inclusive and promote and enable all forms of active travel (walking, cycling, scooting and wheeling) to school. This will be achieved through planning and delivering practical skills (like cycle and scooter skills sessions, bike maintenance and led walks and rides), information events (such as assemblies, drop in sessions, pop up stands), competitions, incentive programmes and classroom sessions. You will also support the successful delivery of BCP Council’s School Streets programme, both for new and existing schemes.
You will work closely with relevant teams at BCP Council and other key stakeholders to achieve the biggest impact through collaborative working.
You will report directly to the local Project Manager, work with the other project officers and local volunteers on the project, and other officers locally, as well as engaging with project officers across the South region and the UK.
Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required to be completed by the successful person. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected.

The role
You will play a key role in ensuring that Camden Learning captures and uses data to drive service development and operate more efficiently. CRM
- Working alongside our development partner, support the successful implementation of a new CRM system
- Ensure the CRM system continues to meet the organisation’s needs, including setting up and owning the process by which colleagues request changes and new features
- Support colleagues to use the system effectively
- Make changes to the system if required and set up reports requested by colleagues. Liaise with development partner if larger changes or new development is required
Other systems and platforms
- Identify, set up and configure other systems and platforms to meet the organisation’s needs. This will include our training booking platform and HR platform.
- Support colleagues and schools to use these systems effectively
Order processes
- Set up and own the processes by which schools place orders for services
- Respond to queries from schools related to subscriptions, orders and pricing
- Work with the Finance Officer to ensure customers are accurately invoiced for services used.
Data reporting, analysis and presentation
- Set up and run regular reports of key information to stakeholders, to include:
- Camden Learning’s leadership team and board of directors
- Local authority commissioners
- Schools
- Undertake regular and adhoc data analysis of data held within our systems, for example training feedback and staff survey
- Present this information in a format suitable for its intended audience
Other
- Liaise with schools, Camden council and other partners to ensure the smooth running of Camden Learning’s services and operations

Experience and knowledge
- Experience supporting the implementation and ongoing development of a CRM system

The role

In this new role, you will build strong relationships with teachers and Senior Leadership teams, in order to support them to embed our courses in their schools and across their Multi-Academy Trusts. You will work closely with the Senior Education Manager and existing Education Community Manager to build and implement recruitment and retention strategies, as well as being the first point of contact for educators.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Community Fundraising Manager plays a pivotal role in creating, implementing, and managing a comprehensive programme of community fundraising whilst developing supporter journeys.
This role focuses on nurturing relationships with donors, volunteers, and community organisations — including schools, universities, sports clubs, and businesses — to deepen long‑term connections, foster supporter loyalty, and maximise income generation. The role is ideal for an energetic, organised, and passionate individual with experience in growing and managing a portfolio of community fundraising relationships.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Planning & Management
· Plan, manage, and deliver a programme of fundraising events, including our Forget Me Not Walk and Christmas Campaign.
· Evaluate event success, producing reports and recommendations for future improvement.
Community Fundraising & Engagement
· Develop and implement community fundraising strategies to engage local groups, schools, businesses, and individual supporters.
· Build and nurture strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and community organisations to enhance fundraising opportunities.
· Account management of third party, volunteer fundraisers, providing support, advice and encouragement ensuring the delivery of a cohesive and effective supporter journey.
· Research, identify and secure fundraising opportunities in target local communities (schools, colleges, Universities, golf clubs, gyms, volunteer community committees etc).
· Track and manage all fundraising being done by community fundraisers, engaging and leading each individual relationship to deepen a long-term partnership with the charity as well as getting introductions to their networks to widen our regional fundraising base.
· Manage talks, presentations, and attendance at community fundraisers, including schools talks, 3rd party events and remote presentations to groups always being considerate of ROI and developing long-term, sustainable relationship.
· Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for events and community fundraising efforts, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience.
· Represent the organisation at networking events, presentations, and external engagements to promote fundraising opportunities.
Financial & Operational Management
· Set and monitor income targets, ensuring that expenditure is managed effectively and return on investment is maximised.
· Lead on budgeting, income phasing, and reforecasting for events and community fundraising activities.
· Manage donor and supporter records using e-Tapestry, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and tracking of fundraising activities
· Coordinate all event invitations, mailings, donor acknowledgments, and post-event stewardship activities.
